Monthly Rentals in West Dorset District

The place was great! We stayed for a while whilst we were waiting for our house and the place was great. Had everything we needed and more! John and his family were lovely and made us feel welcome. Thank you for being sick lovely hosts!

My wife and I had a fantastic week at the Coach house. Timothy and Jo obviously have great taste which was reflected in the decor. The place was spotless and fully equipped for our needs. Sherbourne has some great restaurants and Tim's guide to the area was spot on with all those we visited exceeding our expectations. Car parking at the coach house was good, off road, gated and secure. The area is well served for places to visit both on foot and via short car trips with two National Trust sites less than half and hour away by car and the seaside resort of Weymouth around fifty minutes away. I highly recommend the Coach House. Thank you, Tim for the bread, cheese, milk and cereal waiting for us on our arrival, much appreciated.

What a delightful Victorian (maybe older?) cottage just on the hill above the old harbour. First the cottage itself: essentially my dream home for my family. Immaculately and tastefully decorated, with a giant dining table for games, eating, and chatting. A fully equipped kitchen with wonderful stove and oven, and all the tools needed for roasting, baking, boiling, and frying… we made 4 roast joints in 2 weeks 😂. Rooms are spacious, beds are clean, comfortable. Bathroom down and up. And the little touches like a box of toys for the kids and all the puzzles for the adults, a welcome hamper, a lovely introduction and guide book. Absolutely smashing it. The location is to die for - what the map doesn’t show you is just how close you are to all the best restaurants, the harbour, the fort, and the esplanade. For the kids there is a small community playground opposite the house and the Chapelhay Pub is literally next door. Minor issue is parking, but that’s an problematic across the area

We had such a lovely time. The accommodation was just as described which made it slightly cheeper but I was very happy indeed. Everything we needed to be self contained .Great shower ,lovely bathroom . Bed was very comfortable which can be an issue for me when travelling as I need it to be supportive .No complaints there. We stayed over Samhain (Halloween) so I can safely say its spook free. We were greated with freshly baked cake which I thought was a very sweet touch ,thank you. Will definitely consider returning if we are near Bridport again . Walks ;you must see Hells land which runs along the bottom of Colmer hill ,its magical and steeped in history. Enjoy .....
