A very large house in the countryside, in Somerset, South West England. Almost 300 years old, but totally renovated. Very peaceful location with wonderful views of the rolling hills. It was our 2nd stay at The Longhouse as a family of 4 (with a dog) and was just as fabulous and unique as the first. The location is wonderfully peaceful and ideal for those that want to switch off and savour nature. Though certainly not roughing it with plenty of modern facilities on site too. Once you have your bearings it's very easy to travel between the neighbouring towns most within a short drive. A visit to West Bay for seaside activities is a must! Dylan is an attentive and responsive host and is always on hand should you need him. A thoughroly reccomened location and host!

We really loved staying here - our getaways with a toddler + 2 dogs can be stressful, but this was such a great place to stay that it removed all stress. The location was peaceful and quiet, the village itself was small and walkable for the local pub and playground for our daughter. It was easy to drive to local tourist spots and all the roads were fine. The accommodation itself was comfortable and clean and had all we needed. Can’t thank our hosts enough for such a pleasant stay.

What an incredible stay for a special occasion. The place is more beautiful than the pictures, especially the views, it is truly a special place. We enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast in the garden and watching the tide go in and out. Erika & John were perfect hosts and made us feel very comfortable, going the extra mile. We can't wait to return!

What an absolute slice of heaven. We absolutely loved our stay, thank you for having us. The beach hut is in a fantastic location, close to the café and loo blocks (but not too close!) and right on the beach with fantastic views. We’re a family of 5 with three young children and it was just brilliant. They particularly loved us all sleeping together in the loft. The sound of the sea at night and little children snoozing was honestly such a treat. Highly recommended and we hope to return soon!

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. The caravan was lovely as was the main house. The shower was great. We had a Mezze in the evening and it was divine. Complimentary breakfast was very yummy. I loved the space out the front for my daughter to play on the grass and watch the cat and chickens. A beautiful walk through the orchard on the public footpath next to the caravan. The hosts were faultless. I would definitely go back

Good value accommodation in a nice house in a quiet area of Swanage. Good facilities and a comfortable bed. Kathy also provided cereals and milk for breakfast. There was also a useful microwave in the room which I used for morning porridge . Would be happy to stay with Kathy again.

Gill's place suited us just fine. Good off-road parking with no problems. Location for us was ideal, midway between Ferndown and New Milton, which is where my family live. Gill has plenty of local knowledge should it be needed and gave us a nice welcome on arrival. Just keep doing what you do Gill, it works! Thank you for our stay with you.

Shelley was lovely, very accommodating and happy to share her knowledge on the local area. She has a nice homestead with chickens and pigs and provides the B and B with her own produce. It was a great addition to have a nice cooked breakfast before hitting the road again. The accommodation has a very homely feel with a touch of quirkiness. Great place to stay but we were surprised about the lack of restaurants and pubs serving food in the area on the day of our visit.

The annex is a perfect bolt hole: cosy when you want cosy and the ‘outdoors-in’ when you get the best of Devon sunshine. This was the second time I’ve visited and found just what I was looking for: peace and quiet with easy access to coastal villages and the Coast Path. Ideal for dogs too and well equipped.
