This cottage is a hidden germ in Gifu! Lovely surroundings with lots to do. We visited here as a group of 5 and we enjoyed the BBQ and mahjong. Very spacious and comfortable, everything is listed as expected. Well communication with Maiko. Highly recommended to everyone who would like to enjoy a night (or a few) to escape from city life!

Beautiful house on an (almost) private beach. The house was very spacious. The rooms were big. Lots of great recommendations from the host. Looking forward to going back someday. The weather was not great a few days while we were there yet the comfortable and spacious house made it still very enjoyable. Open kitchen made it a joy to cook. The hosts provided plenty of charcoal and BBQ utensils. They also provided us with a box of fresh local pastries.

We used it as a family of 7, including an infant.It was well cleaned, and the bedding was clean.There were bugs in the crib, but I think it can't be helped because there are many bugs outside the place. I was worried about being stung by insects, so I did not use the outside bath, but I used the dry sauna.The sauna room smelled like wood, and the inside was spacious, so it was so good that I wanted to use it many times.We would love to stay again in a different season.

Nori’s place was very clean, well laid out, well stocked and extremely organised! The views of Mount Fuji from Lake Yamanakako were to die for.. Nori was prompt, respectful and responsive. The complimentary fruits and pre-warmed accommodation were well received and appreciated by my family. It was a pleasure to stay here, so close to the lake, free from the throngs of tourists; a must stay! Watch Mount Fuji from the privacy of your own spa!

We were a group of three, and the space was perfect — with an amazing view and a cozy setup. A great weekend getaway for anyone looking to chill and relax!

The house is old Okinawan style, well maintained and nicely decorated. Rey is very environmentally concerned, which felt like a relief after almost a year spent in Tokyo. Finally Iriomote is wild and beautiful, a place where you can reconnect with Nature, its sounds and rhythm. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back! Ps: We were there with 2 kids of 10 and 8yo, who loved the house which felt like a cabin.

We liked it very much, we were received super warmly, could enter the house earlier, the breakfast is very delicious. We felt right at home. We had dinner cooked by Kaoru twice and enjoyed it very much! As an experience, this is highly recommended! Kaoru is a great cook and hostess and has a very nice family, whom we also got to know. What was great is that she gave us a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area, which we could benefit from. This will certainly not be our last time in this accommodation!

Very quiet location, which exactly matched my expectations. Beach right in front of the house (but should be cleaned a bit).

Perfect for families: plenty of space filled with toys and a bunk bed decorated as a boat. Large dining table, and kitchen with all the essentials to cook with. Two large bedrooms that were comfortable and clean. Large parking space. Located in a very quiet neighbourhood by the beach. Cute coffee shops just a few minutes away (89 Coffee and Margiche Coffee x Bagel), and a couple of restaurants. Also equipped with an umbrella, cooler, and toys for your trips to the beaches on the island. Owner responds within minutes. Would rent again for our next trip!

The owner was very kind and polite, and provided a proper amount of strawberries and beer for free, the room was neat and had a small stone bathtub, and it was very nice to come back after skiing, it was very nice, the room, restroom, sleeping room, etc. were warm, the room price was also fair, we would stay in this accommodation again, thank you Ittoku for the hospitality!

We stayed at Mori’s place for 8 nights and had the most amazing time. It is a lovely cabin in the forest, very peaceful, with only the sound of the birds. The cabin is cosy, with good hot and cold AC, and lots of blankets. There is a lovely bath. Mori made the cabin himself, it’s amazing! The cabin is right on the Shikoku pilgrimage trail, with lots of options of walks through the forest from the door. We walked to Temple 44 in just under an hour, and into Kumakogen to a cafe (Kuma Cafe, which was great). There is a good supermarket in Kumakogen where you can get all of your supplies. You can get to the cabin on the bus from Matsuyama JR station, it was really easy. Then Mori was kind enough to pick us up from Kumakogen. Mori was the most friendly and generous host. He invited us for coffee, and took us on some amazing trips to see the local area - Temple 45 + Omogo Gorge. You won’t find a kinder air bnb host! Thank you so much for your generosity and hospitality! We will be back!

The scenery is super beautiful, amazing

A true gem! I felt perfectly at home and comfortable in this serene, luxury cottage! Everything was exactly as shown and looked even better than the photos! The views from the balcony are breathtaking! I would 100% book again, but make sure you plan restaurants (or cook in, the kitchen is wonderful!!) ahead of time as this lodging is a 15 min drive from the town. The host was so kind and very responsive! I loved my entire experience and can’t wait to come back!!

It was a very quiet location surrounded by the nature of Yanbaru, and I was able to relax from the bottom of my heart. The inn was very clean, equipped with everything I needed, and the smell of wood in the room was very pleasant. Akio was very kind and taught me a lot of things. Unfortunately, the weather prevented us from seeing the stars and Okinawa rail, but we had the precious experience of waking up to the sound of the Okinawa rail in the morning! I was also grateful that check-out was at 12: 00. I highly recommend it for those who want to relax and enjoy nature in a private space with nothing around.

A lovely place to stay! I ended up extending my stay with two days because I liked it so much. My hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious!

Takuo's house is an old sea captain's cottage that has been beautifully restored to a very modern standard. It is very comfortable and cosy with a great view of the ocean through the large glass windows. Takuo is a great host with excellent English from having worked overseas for many years. He took time off one afternoon to show us around the local village that had been damaged in the 2024 earthquake and explained the restoration issues that owners faced. Highly recommended.
