Beachfront vacation rentals in Japan

Very comfortable. Good ventilation with windows with screens. Excellent bath. Good cooking facilities. Short walk from train station and to beach. A delightful apartment with a lofted sleeping room. Clean and cozy. Would return without hesitation.

We used it as a group of nine, including children.Unfortunately, it was raining and I was having trouble getting to the accommodation, but I was very grateful for the early check-in!! It was really spacious and my 3-year-old was also very happy.We looked around a lot of rooms and played hide and seek, and had a great time!! The living room has plenty of chairs, so even if you visit with a large group, there is no problem finding a place to sit.The sea was right there and we enjoyed fishing!(I caught about 8 fish, including small ones◎) It was also equipped with a dishwasher and dryer, so washing the dishes in the house rules was easy.There is no wrap or aluminum foil, so it may be useful to bring it.The rain stopped in the evening, and the next day, until check-out, the kids were able to play on the playground in the garden, and I think it's a great place for kids.Also, it was very helpful that I noticed I had left something behind right away and was able to go back and get it!! Thank you so much for letting me stay in such a lovely place!! I definitely want to stay again.

It was a very pleasant stay for the whole family.Everything was really exactly as pictured.It was nice to have a lot of dogs and children running around.

It was spacious enough for 10 people to stay.The kids seemed to enjoy running around.The beach was right in front of me, and I felt luxurious spending time watching the waves in the evening. The nearby restaurant had quite a lot of customers, so I was right to book in advance.

This place was awesome and even though I was a solo traveller I used all the rooms. The kitchen had everything I needed to make simple meals (even proper knives) and the bathroom/ shower was spacious and clean. Ryoko was a terrific host. She was able to answer all my questions and was so helpful in every way. This was the best value place I think I have ever stayed in, across 3 countries. If you do not cope well with steep stairs (about 10, I think) then you won't like this place. My legs got a good workout using them. Great views from the top floor. Many thanks.

The atmosphere of the surroundings and the dormitory was very good.Also, there were plenty of facilities, including a BBQ grill, and we enjoyed ourselves until the time we left.In addition, the bath and toilet were solidly new and clean, despite the retro atmosphere of the accommodation.I would definitely use it again in the future.

We truly enjoyed our stay here! The home is spacious and located near a stunning stretch of coastline, watching the locals surf was such a treat. Even with some rain, the weekend was still beautiful and incredibly relaxing. We especially loved the large, secure yard—it was perfect for our dogs, who had just as much fun as we did!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hide’s place. You cannot beat a convenient and spacious place to stay that also has essentially short walk distance to a private beach. We were the only ones out there enjoying ocean swim and sand. An amazing place to get away from it all and unwind quietly. Lots of amenities also with boat rides and surfing sessions available with Hide-san. I hope to have a chance to return here again.

The room is tidy and clean, and there is a kitchen for the guests to cook their own meals.

We loved our time here! The kids really enjoyed playing on the beach and we could watch them. Hopefully we will be back in the future!

Had the pleasure of staying for two wonderful nights as a couple. The place was breathtakingly beautiful, full of Amenities of all kinds and you will have the best time. Thank you so much also for the helpful staff on-site!

My friend and I had an incredibly lovely stay here. The pictures do not do it justice. It was even more beautiful in person. It has everything we needed. We were able to enjoy a bath, do our laundry and even managed to squeeze some BBQ in with the grill they provided. The host was super kind as we had forgotten our water bottle. They contacted us right away and we were able to retrieve it before our next destination. We highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a private get away in this cozy and welcoming space.

Sammy is a great host and his house is awesome! He picked us up at the airport brought us drinks and was so kind to offer to drive us places. We had a great stay swimming and using the hot tub while touring around Okinawa! Also enjoyed walking down to the beach! Would recommend and stay again!

It was a space that was exactly the definition of "luxurious and rich".From the moment you step into the entrance, you feel like you are in a movie scene.The staff was polite and friendly, and they handled everything smoothly from check-in. The room is spacious and the interior is elegantly designed.I felt the attention to detail in the furniture, lighting, and amenities, and enjoyed the extraordinary luxury atmosphere.The large windows offered a great view, and I was able to enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the morning and the starry sky at night. It was also nice to be able to enjoy cooking with local ingredients and have a relaxing time because it was fully equipped with a kitchen and BBQ grill.There were no complaints about the facilities, and it was fully equipped with WiFi, a washing machine, a bathtub, and more. It was off season this time, but we asked to use the pool.Thank you for your prompt response. The kids were happy too. I am really satisfied that I was able to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend a luxurious and quiet time.It was a wonderful stay, and I would love to visit again for a special occasion.

5 Stars – A Peaceful Gem by the Sea Our stay at this beachside cottage in Hakodate was truly unforgettable. Tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and private, yet close enough to the heart of the historic downtown—it was the perfect place to unwind after full days of exploring. Each evening, we came back to the sound of waves and the gentle ocean breeze, which felt like nature’s lullaby. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. During cherry blossom season, we spent our mornings strolling nearby gardens, afternoons wandering through markets and museums, and our evenings resting by the fire, wrapped in gratitude and sea air. If you’re looking for a tranquil, restorative place to stay while enjoying all that Hakodate has to offer—this is it. Highly recommend, and would absolutely return!

This place is one of the best holiday rentals I’ve stayed in, not only in Japan but possibly the world! Stunning design, very well appointed and with lots of little touches to make your stay more convenient and comfortable. If you want a luxurious peaceful private get away in a gorgeous location, away from the bustle of daily life, then this is the perfect spot.

Visited in late May It was a wonderful location with the Seto Inland Sea right in front of you, and I was able to completely relax.We weren't blessed with good weather this time, but I think you can see a wonderful sunset when the weather is good. There is also a supermarket nearby, so I bought groceries and cooked, and I also visited the owners.

It was a clean, stylish, and very nice place to stay!They were very considerate of children and dogs, and I had a comfortable time.◎ There is a beach right in front, so I'd love to stay again when I can enjoy swimming in the sea!

We spent amazing five days in Yumikas great house along the beach, which provided a breath-taking ocean view. The rooms were extremely tidy and clean and everything was set up as described. During our stay Yumika was always responsive and provided information for things to do and restaurants in the surroundings even before our arrival. As Yumika indicates, we would also recommend to rent a car to be able to discover this beautiful island. If we should come back to Amami, Yumika´s house will be our first choice.

My family (10&11 year old daughters) and we had a wonderful stay at Minmi’s place. From the time we arrived she was a phenomenal host. She even arranged for dolphins to swim in the ocean right in front of the property as we arrived. Her place is beautifully designed with super high-end appliances and dishware. My daughters loved the loft-like design where they could see the stars through the skylight. Minmi’s restaurant next door was amazing and she was so nice to my daughter’s taking them on a walk with the neighbor’s dog. Nice beach 9mins away and cute old town 30mins further southh. Highly recommend.

Kenji and Saori’s was fabulous. My hubby & I came to Japan and definitely new we wanted to spend some time in a small town and this was amazing! Their warm hospitality was so inviting. As a couple, we appreciate great memories to look back on when we were together. Their home did that for us. To have them be your host, is an added bonus. Their food, fishing, hiking and views are stupendous. We hope to be back again in the future!

This is even better than I’ve expected. The location is literally 30s away from the beach. The house is meticulously clean and with all the amenities you could have imagined. It is very obvious that the owner of the house put a lot of thinking when they designed it, if you pay a bit attention you would easily notice how organized and easy to live the house is. I especially love the kitchen and bathroom, despite being a bit small, it has the complete list of functionality you would (and wouldn’t ) expect. They prepared salon-level dryer and shower spray, and the bathtub can reheat after the water gets cold….. honestly speaking the place is a bit far away from the station, but remember: it’s right next to the ocean, you can’t have it all. The host was probably the most responsive ones you’ll find on this app, they are always there to give you handy advices. Overall SUPER RECOMMEND!!!
