Creekside Yurt - Close to State Park & Town

Romantic, Spacious, Creekside yurt with deck and parking. Close to Shops, Cafes and hiking trails. Update for Topanga and the Palisades Fire: luckily the fire did not burn Topanga and our home was not affected. Everything in the canyon is open and damage free. There are some burn scars on the mountain, but it makes for quite a view. Topanga Canyon Boulevard from Topanga Lumber Yard going down to the beach / pacific coast highway is closed. Google Maps knows its way around the road closures.

Enchanting Getaway Yurt

Instructions to arrive were perfect and clear. We loved staying in this beautiful yurt. It was clean, super spacious, and cozy. It also has a really nice area outside to eat and hang out (bring bug spray). It has a full kitchen, with everything you will need to prepare a meal. We liked the rustic outdoors shower, but it needs some fixing. Our favorite part was the lake. It was beautiful, and you can use their kayaks and paddle boards. To access the lake by car, you will need a 4x4 as is clearly instructed in the house manual. My husband decided to ignore this, and drove our van down the lake, well we got super stuck. Thanks to Ben who had to push us up hill and we finally made it, but please don’t be us, believe me it may seem easy but you will need a 4x4. Thank you Chazlynn and Ben for sharing your piece of paradise with us, hope to come back again.

The hosts were so thoughtful in making us feel at home (but more so like we were on vacation) by supplying everything we could need!! We stayed here for our “mini-moon” after getting married, and wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This place is absolutely stunning. They have nice beaches right on the property. So many amenities. They have shared bathroom & showers even a place to wash dishes. The view was spectacular. Lots of restaurants near by and close to the old mining town. Love watching the rafters drift by. Mike and Bonnie are amazing hosts. They even have ice on site for purchase. We will be back!

Really enjoyable little stay at this yurt. It was cozy and perfect for a solo getaway. The kitchen is very basic, but I managed to cook breakfast and dinner in the space. Word to the wise, if it's any hotter than about 80, the temperature in the yurt is intolerable, but not an issue if you plan to spend the day at the river. Thanks, David!

Tranquil surroundings, safe street, clean and added amenities like coffee and tea. Bed was big & comfortable and super cozy in the yurt. Very friendly pups and hosts. I did yoga on the deck - it was all perfect for what I needed. I will stay again anytime I need to go to the Bay Area.

This place is absolutely stunning. The view is breathtaking. Amanda and her family were so kind and I felt so welcome. It’s a whole farm btw! Make sure you know the upcoming weather cuz you will be outside a lot and you are on the top of a mountain. The yurt is absolutely beautiful and impeccably decorated, it felt like staying in an anthropology. It smelled amazing like wood and canvas and the bed and linens were incredible. Be prepared to not be near your car. Basically treat it like tent camping and you will be prepared. This was the absolute perfect solitary getaway. The drive up is so so stunning but non-confident drivers should be prepared, the second half it’s a single lane road on the side of mountains with switch backs. I wouldn’t plan on driving it at night if you don’t need to. I was there during some pretty intense wind and I wish I had brought earplugs for sleeping. There is a windmill on the property that was loud during the wind storm but otherwise didn’t make noise.
