Vacation rentals with lake access in California

The Bluebird Retreat was a really unique place to stay in Romona. It really felt like a getaway as it’s located in a really tucked away area so you don’t have to worry about neighbors or the sounds of traffic. It was truly just peace and quiet. Place was stocked up with everything we needed to bring some groceries and cook dinner. Everything was clean and spotless. The hose Lara was always responsive. Best part was waking up to all the sunshine and critters hanging around the place, squirrels and so many kinds of birds ( if you’re a birder you’ll really appreciate this place) plus the spectacular view of lake Sutherland 👌🏼 overall this place is one of a kind, if you ever find the need to be in Ramona, don’t hesitate to book ✅

We had a great stay at Alex's home. The view did not disappoint and the location for us was just perfect. We will be back next year...and Thank You Alex for being such a great host. We had all of the information we needed and Alex was very thorough in his communication. Thanks Again! Jim

Fantastic place and fantastic host! We have two little kids, Ken left a basket of things for each kid and a couple baby gates, really went the extra mile. The view was jaw dropping and the house itself was beautiful. Everything worked as advertised and Ken made sure we had everything we needed and was quick with some recommendations when we were looking for a way to get out on the water. 10/10 would come back!

This place is on another level of beauty and privacy. Showed up. Gate was open. The ac was already on. Place was spotless. Ice maker full with ice (huge win!!) Sit on the deck and just take in the best view around. I gotta to hang for a few min at club red. The kayak around the lake was amazing. This is a top notch compound. Incredible the paradise they have built in the middle of nowhere!! Only negative was I had to leave. Thanks Joyce and tony for your hospitality. I will be back!!!

Beautiful, clean, spacious home right on the lake. Excellent outdoor patio and seating area with a well maintained private dock. Plenty of parking. We will be staying here again next year.

We had an awesome experience during our stay and the host was very responsive. The lake house has all the amenities for a couple of families especially lots of fun activities with kids. I would highly recommend the lake house for a get away.

Such a beautiful home! Fully stocked with great amenities! The outside pool/jacuzzi were super relaxing with a serene view of the mountains and palm trees. Steve was also very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable get away at Villa Paradiso! The home was beautiful, had great views, was clean, nicely decorated, and had all the amenities for a great vacation on the lake, 10/10! The host was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. We would love to come back soon!

As a first time booker, Uwe and Frauke were very helpful with recommendations on things to do and places to see! They were very welcoming and Vargus is a private, well kept place to stay :) Had a lot of fun exploring Bombay and learning about its history

It was a wonderful stay! Exactly as described with all amenities! We utilized the bikes a lot to get around the beaches! It was lovely and I will certainly remember the spot if we’re in the area again and recommend to friends! Thank you again Rex!!!

Toni was an amazing host and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable! Their spot is such a home away from home. We had everything we needed! We traveled with our two year old son and their backyard was an amazing spot for him to get outside and get the wiggles out! The walkability was a huge draw for us and it was so nice to have so much nearby. Golden Gate Park was a quick walk and there was so much to explore! Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting San Francisco.

Heidi’s apartment was the perfect place for a stay in Oakland to visit family. It feels like a real home with lots of light and space. It has all its 1950s period features intact and is beautifully furnished. Highly recommended!

This property was an amazing space for my friends and I to enjoy the lake! I think it's the best spot in the entire area to relax and enjoy all that the lake has to offer. Deborah was extremely helpful and kind! We will definitely be coming back here soon.

Great place to stay, you walk out the back gate and just around the corner is the lake front area. You can also walk to a nearby market for groceries, sandwiches, and coffee. There is a nearby boat launch and a ski lift for winter use. Also, great area to catch transportation such as TART.

Great location and access to the lake. The place had plenty of lake equipment (kayaks, paddle, life vests, fishing gear, etc) everything you can ask for. Relaxing location in a quiet town, we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful - a little bit of a drive from most activities, but the drives are just as beautiful. Highly recommend.

Amazing location right by the lakeside and a beautiful well-equipped house. We could see ducks and swans coming out of the water onto the backyard right from the dining table! Would love to come here again. Thanks for being a great host, Barbara.

Loved our stay there! Not very many places allowed us to have all of our pups with us so we're very grateful that they were welcoming and accommodating. Their home was very clean and also included beds for the pups. Loved that there was a spacious yard for our pups to roam around in for potty breaks. Tom was very responsive and it was very easy to communicate with him. Would definitely love to come back one day for another pup trip

Cindy's cozy cottage was exactly as we expected and worked perfectly for two adults and our dog. It was very easy to find and access. The cottage looks exactly like the pictures and was a very short walk to the village and many restaurants. It was also a short drive to the trailhead of the hike we chose to do on the north side of the lake. Cindy graciously allowed us a late check out which we very much appreciated. We would stay again!

Beautiful home and surroundings. We couldn't have selected a better home for our weekend getaway. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed.

We loved staying here. While it's not the "newest" of places, it's exactly what we wanted. We were looking for something cozy with a cabin feel and we go that here. The jacuzzi was a nice place to relax at night. They had YouTube TV and we were able to watch movies with the kids at night and cuddle up in the living room. BONUS - Crazy fast internet. I work from home and I had a lot of work to do while during our stay. I have to upload videos to YouTube for clients and holy smokes batman, the internet was fast!!!
