Vacation rentals with a fireplace in California

Warm and quiet big house. Good place. House is very warm when it is cold outside. Lots of space in the kitchen, in the hall. Very comfortable mattresses. Clean linen. Lots of channels on TV. Good hosts. They work very quickly and are our saviors. We had to leave the previous house, it was very cold there and the heaters did not work. We booked this house at 8 pm. And the owners quickly contacted us. At 9 o'clock we were already in a new warm house. The owners even turned on the heater for us. This is a super job and super hosts!!! Good price, service, 5-7 minutes from the center. Everything is nearby. Very quiet and good energy!!! I would like to come back!!! THANK YOU!

The host is wonderful and very responsive. The location can’t be beat! Right on the creek with floor to ceiling windows. With a short walk we were at the brewery and were near the shops, pharmacy, galleries, and great restaurants. The property has many bird feeders that are visited by colorful birds and squirrels. The home is pet-friendly with a fantastic fenced yard and large bolstered dog bed. Our dog had so much to sniff, and she rested comfortably while inside. What isn’t noted in the description is that although there are 2 bathrooms, there is only 1 shower and no tub. The bathroom without a shower or tub is carpeted and doesn’t have a heating source. Although the home is a bit dated, it is totally worth staying in. It’s bright, comfy, well located, the furnishings are cute, the fireplace is lovely, the aromatherapy humidifier is awesome, and the host is fantastic!

Our host was extremely flexible on check-in and checkout. We greatly appreciated it. Lovely home lovely surroundings.. the spring flowers were out the dog trees were in bloom and maple trees were vibrant red. Loved being out in nature, enjoying my family for our special time. We loved our stay. The master bedroom had an incredible view of the ocean and we loved walking our dog around the property down to the cliffs every morning.

We visit Kernville one to two times a a year. This was my favorite place so far out of the places my family and I have stayed. We have a family of 5 (3 kids) and they absolutely had a blast, plenty of games and activities for them to do at the house including swimming. We also had some friends and family visit us and the place was great for entertaining guests. I highly recommend staying here the host is very responsive and friendly. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

Paula is quite wonderful as a hostess!! We have stayed at this wonderful ranch house twice now as a group of older women quilters. She always gets right back to us if we have a small issue or question. The rules for the house are normal “take care with our house “! All amenities in the description are real and the beds are really comfortable!! It’s always immaculately clean! It’s a beautiful setting with fields and horses to enjoy watching! We totally recommend this house!

We have stayed in many Airbnb's and this is one of the best. Great location, large and comfy, spotless--and our hosts were so welcoming and informative. They made us feel very special and shared a lot of great information on the area. You will love this house.

We had a great stay at this property! It's fully remodeled, very clean and comfortable. Everything was provided, including nice bath towels (mini shampoo/conditioner/lotion, too), soft comfortable linen, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The property is steps away from Marine Avenue, the main street on Balboa Island, with great shops and restaurants. That being said, you are in a more vibrant and happening part of the island, which comes with a little more noise and traffic. We enjoyed being close to everything, walking around, etc. The host is responsive and super easy to work with.

Mike & Eula’s loft is a perfect getaway. The views a location are spectacular. We stayed there with our daughter for Spring Break to rest and relax. The loft has all the conveniences you would ever want. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We recommend bringing your own shampoo and soap, since only one set of small hotel soaps were provided. Being right on Main Street made it easy to explore and shop. The balcony was a great place to eat our home cooked meals Al Fresca . We will definitely be back to enjoy Mendocino and the loft.

This was a great private, quiet place to stay on the lake away from all the chaos! The hosts were awesome and went above and beyond to help us out even with a last minute reservation. We loved the beautiful dock to sit and have a drink at during sunset or coffee at dawn. As others have mentioned, it was also nice to have Netflix logged in without having to enter our own passwords all the time. The kitchenette was cute with vintage style appliances, and the bed was very clean and comfortable. They provided snacks and coffee to get us started and rolling out of bed! It was a great time.

John’s place was definitely as he described. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time here and would stay here again. It was a perfect weekend getaway when you need some much needed time off. John was extremely detailed and responsive and make the check in and out easy.

Great home in a good location. Before arriving, we were provided with clear directions to make our arrival smooth. It was perfect for a weekend trip to San Diego with two little ones. We had everything we needed and then some. Appreciated the parking available at the home because it made it easier to load and unload everything with the kids as we came and went. everything was super nice, only thing was the charger didnt work which was very bummed out, but overall house is super spacious and nice, plenty of room for family and friends! mason was helpful & communicative!

We stayed here for my bachelorette/birthday trip and it exceeded our expectations! It’s such a peaceful, gorgeous, and clean property. Julie was so kind and responsive to helping us settle in. We already cannot wait to come back!

You enter the house, a little uncertain. From the outside, a little underwhelming. You pass through the cosy living room, still a little underwhelming. And THEN, WOW. The pool area, the tennis court, the Vista to the west, the mountains...spectacular, breathtaking, everything as advertised and more. Back in the house, you find a very well stocked kitchen, extremely comfortable bedrooms, a unique "guesthouse" for the Seniors (in our case), and above all...everything in working order. Absolutely no issues! Bravo to our great landlord, who was a super communicator. Overall: our family of 12, across 3 generations, found wonderful places to be together as well as to disperse. A great time was had by all in this Vista Villa wonder!
