Vacation rentals with beach access in Southern California

John was proactive at giving local recommendations from the moment we booked. Jen, his daughter, met us at the unit to hand over the keys and give an overview of the unit, very responsive, and gave clear check-out instructions. Unit was perfect for 4 adults - spacious, clean, well-stocked kitchen (remember to bring your own oil) for baking/cooking/serving, warm & comfortable beds and bedding, stocked bathrooms (shampoo/conditioner/body soap) with quick hot water, 5 minute walk to Avila Beach, convenient W/D in unit, and even coffee for the coffee maker! Overall, two thumbs up and highly recommend! Many thanks to John & Jen!

Fantastic views- sunsets were amazing! Fantastic space- clean & comfortable. Fantastic location- walkable and safe. Oceanside is a hidden gem! We walked on the beach and then for morning coffee almost everyday. Favorite feature is the sliding glass door! It is clear, Lauren and her staff take great care of the property. Thanks again Lauren for a great stay!

The place was just beautiful with the views! Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Malibu. The AC was not working. Communicated with owners and he responded they would get it repaired. Didn’t happen during our stay and the afternoons were really warm inside. Overall I would stay there again!

Dan's place was adorable!! absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway for myself and my daughters. Everything was exactly as advertised with some unexpected pleasant surprises (beach amenities like boogie boards, chairs,toys and even a wagon!). every thing was spotlessly clean a day comfy. I see alot of mention regarding the noise. given you're literally right on mission blvd I feel that's to be expected and to be honest, with fans going and the windows closed at night I heard nothing and it had no impact on a most enjoyable stay. Dan is close by if needed but non intrusive and seems genuinely invested in you enjoying your stay. You cannot beat the location and I felt it was absolutely worth what i spent. We will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful and very well thought out and equipped place. I would say that the description did not adequately describe the level of comfort and luxury felt in this beautifully outfitted home. Every bedroom has all the amenities and creates a private world for each of the inhabitants in each bedroom. The kitchen had everything one might need with many, many extras, paper towels, paper plates, cleaning supplies galore. The area feels like California of the 70’s. The local food places are owned by the people who wait in you who are so grateful that we went there. There is a really fun vintage store with many treasures to look through. We went to a completely free USNavy Seabees Museum which was fascinating. We definitely want to return to the area which has the most beautiful sandy beaches and staying at this house certainly added to the fun. It was my son who is 40, my grandsons who are 8 and 10 and my daughter, the boy’s Mom. There were even thoughtful and entertaining games!

We stay in Mission Beach every year for a family vacation. This was by far our favorite house for the location. It had everything we needed for a wonderful time at the beach and exploring the area. The beds were a little firm for our liking, however, others may love that. Everything they described in the listing was accurate. I’d highly recommend this home for your next family vacation. As a helpful hint, getting delivery from the local grocery store was incredibly easy and beyond convenient!

This property was convenient, comfortable, and exactly as described in other positive reviews and pictures. Easy to find, park, and to check in; host was responsive and let us know we could check in early. The space was perfect for 2 adults and a 9-yr-old, with the added bonus of a front and back yard area. Super easy access to bike paths, restaurants/bars/coffee/breakfast spots, the beach, and surrounding San Diego attractions. We were very happy with our stay and would return!

Cute home in a great location. An easy walk to Riviera Village, with easy access to the Esplanade and the beach walking path. We rented a car but walked everywhere. The home itself was spotless with a nice sized living room and separate dining room. Beds were quite comfy and the bedrooms and living room had individually adjustable thermostats. We would stay here again.

I love Ocean beach and especially dog beach. This place was in the middle of it all one block from the beach one block from Dog Beach and two blocks from the middle of town if you want to park your car and hang out with your dog, this is the perfect place. Our host were extremely responsive to any question we had. The washer and dryer was great and we really enjoyed the back patio. Five stars. Highly recommended!!

Very nice & relaxing; we felt right at home. Perfect home for a nice family thanksgiving dinner. Enjoyed the beach and short walking distance to the water. The home was fully stocked with extra beach towels and toys for the kids. We had a great first time experience and would definitely rent again!

What a LOVELY place to stay, just 6-7 houses away from the sand. Perfect location. Very useful shopping center across the street (Pavillions grocery store, banks, restaurants, etc). The house is very spacious, stocked with everything you'd need. Will definitely be back soon!

We had the best time!! Everything was just as described. The view from the patio is lovely and the beach is right in front of you. We will definitely stay here again when we are in town.

We loved our stay here! This is a beautiful condo with an amazing view and great ambience. Bart and Debra have this decorated so well. It has such a comfy, beachy vibe. North Coast Village is fabulous! The landscaping feels like you are in an oasis! It is so clean and the security and tranquility is top notch! We will definitely be back! Thank you!!

All-in-all nice vacation spot. You can always find something to complain (i.e. musty odor mentioned in the previous review is a fact but everybody has a different tolerance level). Bikes are GREAT addition to the experience as you can almost drop using your car unless to stock up in Trader Joe's. Sandra is very welcoming host, instructions are clear and precise.

Unbelievable view and a perfect location. Perfect spot to be if you’re looking to be in within minutes with walking where you want and only a quick 10 min drive to downtown. 10/10 💪

What a special place with an ideal location for beach walks, sunsets, and access to downtown Carlsbad. Because of its coastal location next a public lot, it’s a bustling vibe, but we never had trouble parking, and there’s a lot for the condo unit in the back. Our particular unit had a small management office built on its patio, limiting the patio size and causing narrow access for my elderly mother. Going through the patio is the only access point to the unit. The unit was small but well designed to maximize the space and included beautiful blue glass tile and matching decor. Seating was plentiful too. What a treat to enjoy this special spot.

Beachfront property Normas place was clean and tidy had all the needed amenities. Did shopping in Oxnard and Camarillo.

Booked this place for my fiancé, it was his first time seeing and experiencing the ocean. We absolutely loved this place! Beach access 24/7, great restaurants at walking distance, peaceful surroundings, koi pond, and everything felt safe. There was initially a miscommunication with the cleaning service and we walked into a dirty place, but we let Paul know and had them there within the hour. We didn't mind as this can easily happen to anyone and Paul resolved it extremely fast with so much kindness. We will definitely be back, thank you Paul & Lisa! <3

Lovely place to stay in Carp! We love the patio. The home is very clean and a great location. All the essentials you could need for a few days at the beach.

We very much liked the location of North Coast Village at the end of the Oceanside strand and Abraham's unit from which you could hear the waves and catch a view of the beach from the balcony and master bedroom. The unit was as advertised in great shape. It was easy to feel comfortable and enjoy the space. Definately recommend.
