This place is actually beautiful really a home from home place. We stayed at Birch lodge which was so warm and welcoming. Your surrounded by the sounds of nature day and night, which is very peaceful and serene. The hot tub is an added touch, where you can gaze at the stars whilst the bubbles surround you. I really valued the privacy of each lodge, which backs onto a nice green area at the back. Ian was most accmodating, awnsering any questions we had, but they made sure they answered most questions through the instructions that was left for us. Thoughtful. Sad to be leaving but Upthorpe Lodges will deffo see us again, when we want to escape the hustle and bustle of London, and connect with nature.

A great "quirky" place, will definitely visit again. The host Caroline was very helpful and our 4 dogs also loved the enclosed gardens.

A lovely break with family, cosy cabin, quiet location and Roy was so helpful in getting the hot tub started for us, which we really appreciated. Thank you :)

The best place we have stayed at via Airbnb, Louise and Simon had thought of everything needed and myself and my partner were able to just relax at the romantic retreat without needing to go anywhere. We felt right at home, enjoyed the hot tub, the bed and sofa was comfy and the privacy of the place was just what we had hoped. Tasty welcome hamper provided too! The craftsmanship and finer details, even down to the slabs of the path leading up to the retreat, shows that this is a place that has been done properly. Returning in the Summer for a full week as a long weekend there wasn't quite enough. Nice to be away and relaxed in such a thoughtful environment. The photos on here are what initially drew us in, but they don't do it justice. The description is right too, not overlooked in any direction :)

Absolutely stunning lodge, was exactly what we wanted. Very spacious and was bigger than expected. The hot tub added a little extra something. Everything you would need for a weekend stay. Fantastic surroundings, including the friendly horses that would come to their gate for a stroke. Beautiful location with a country park not far for a great walk. Overall a brilliant stay and would highly recommend!

We had an amazingly relaxing week at Sea Glass Lodge. It was immaculately presented, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Instructions and directions were clear and the lodge itself was private and tranquil (although we were also able to speak with our neighbours for the week while they fished the lake). The living area is spacious and the lodge was pristine throughout. The welcome pack even had some doggie treats for our pooch. We will definitely be returning, and highly recommend this property to anyone wanting peace quiet and stunning scenery on the deck.

We absolutely adored our stay. Blissfully peaceful, clean and had all that we could have asked for. We loved the visiting ducks and having duck food provided was fantastic! So much to do locally that there's something for everyone. But so cosy and inviting that I could have easily relaxed at the lodge all week with a book series! I cannot thank the hosts enough for how friendly and helpful they were/are. I cannot recommend this place enough! Book it! And have a wonderful holiday!

Such a lovely place for us as a family. The kids adores the house and the hot tub, as well as the bunk beds. The woods are wonderful to walkthrough and the host is really quick to respond and help. Thanks so much

wayyy bigger than I thought it was going to be, we had grandad on the huge sofa which he loved my little girl on the smaller room with had 2 beds and a little cubby hole for her phone. really really great place looking forward to coming back and staying for longer than the night but really really was huge value for 💰 🤑 💸

Thank you to Sofia hosting her place and being a great host. I decided to take our 2 young children and dog on a trip to Norfolk and they loved it. The chalet was just what we needed and as described. We wanted a place close to the beach for dog walks and for days out. The chalet is on a peaceful site which has well kept gardens. We managed to try out the Ship Inn a couple of times, food was good and also atmosphere. We didn't manage to test the village cafe unfortunately. Thank you again and hopefully we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful lodge! Right from the start, our host was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring we had everything for a comfortable visit. The lodge was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like biscuits and frozen croissants to bake fresh for breakfast—a delightful treat! The hot tub was perfect for unwinding, and the host’s recommendations on nearby restaurants and local spots to explore around Norfolk were spot-on. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

It wasn’t the easiest to find. Too k a couple of attempts. Especially because it was dark.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay here with our family. It was cosy, warm and inviting. It was well equipped and everything we needed for our stay. Would love to come back in summer and make the most of the garden/BBQ area too. 😎☀️

We had a wonderful stay!! Claire’s property was warm, homely, spacious and very clean - equipped with everything you’d need for your stay. It is set on a great site in a stunning location - perfect for sunny walks along the coast. Claire was an excellent host, highly accommodating and easy to get in touch with! We will be returning!!!! Lovely space, attention to detail was great. A wonderful welcome pack, even for our little dog Chip. Bedding, towels immaculate. Easy walking distance to amenities a little further for beach but well worth it. Loving the outside decking & patio too. We hope to book again for next year/ Great Host !

Had a great stay, everything we needed for an end of January break away. The place was warm, the sun was out and we were certainly never cold indoors despite it being chilly outside. I got busy in the kitchen every night which had everything you need to cook and had the luxury of ordering an Indian takeout which just featured in the curry guide from The Lowestoft Tandoori. Beautiful beach to go for a Walkabout on and the local pub does a fantastic roast and entertainment on a Saturday. Wanted to stay longer, thank you ever so much Sally for being a great host. Had a fantastic time.

Stayed with our two young children. A lovely little place with generous hosts who had stocked up on some goodies for our arrival. They live on the site further up the drive and were very responsive when I had a query about the cooker which turned out to be my ineptitude more than anything else. Really lovely setting, great for children (I’d recommend bringing bikes) and walking around. Our two appreciated the climbing frame on site. There’s no central heating but the electric radiators placed around made up for it. The TV also was kitted out with loads of functioning apps. I imagine it would be wonderful there in the summer.

We enjoyed our short weekend break and would definitely like to return to explore the area further (and in better weather)! The place was lovely and clean and in a great location for using as a base for exploring surrounding areas. Some lovely recommendations in the folder. Tracey was easy to contact and on hand if needed. My boys loved the addition of the board games in the living room. A lovely weekend break.

A great place to stay- it's a beautifully renovated yet wonderfully original wagon, that's comfortable and well appointed for any retreat. We really enjoyed the garden space to be amongst the fruits and vegetables and Bertie the horse! Wish we could've stayed longer! Overall just the tranquility we wanted. Thanks to Julia for being great and accommodating host.

Great place perfect for what I needed

My partner and I love staying at the barn owl pod. It was in a beautiful location, and really good places to eat near by. The pod was very clean and a perfect getaway. Thank you!
