Fieldhouse: village quiet, central to everything

The Fieldhouse is our lovely little pet-friendly, self-contained, detached annex/guest house located on the grounds of the old Halvergate village school. It has the Norfolk broads and marshes on its door step with the stunning Norfolk beaches, Norwich and Great Yarmouth close by. It is truly a cozy home from home, with a lounge with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with king bed, and bathroom with bath/shower, with parking and outdoor sofa, BBQ and table and chairs in the large garden.

Arrived in the dark so had slight delay in finding the right house but Christine came out to help and showed me to my rental. Plenty of treats and more than adequate breakfast were there but I didn't need any local info as I was visiting family. Slept exceptionally well in the comfy bed. Garden was lovely even at this time of year.

Loved our stay at Hannah’s beautiful annex. So peaceful and relaxing. Immaculately clean and tidy. Loved the granola, yogurt, teas and coffee that were thoughtfully included. Booked to eat at The White Horse pub at the end of the road, which was delicious. Would highly recommend.

perfect accommodation, perfect location. greeted as we arrived by Neil who showed us around the accommodation and games room. accommodation has everything you need milk, chocolate and fresh flowers a nice touch. enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the wildlife in the garden total relaxation. would definitely stay again

After staying at Kathleen’s place for a couple of nights, I can heartily recommend it! There’s plenty of space and amenities and parking, too. Ely is a small, pretty and very walkable city. It’s a 20 minute easy walk into the centre, where there are plenty of shops and places to eat. The riverside area is lovely, and there are plenty of parks, too. Also, it’s a 20 minute train trip to Cambridge for a day out.
