Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Guanacaste Province

Beautiful space. We really appreciated the large open area and hammocks to relax and listen to the sounds of the forest, as well as swimming in the river. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the shared bathrooms were very clean

We LOVED our stay at Rinconcito Lodge! It was beautiful waking up to the birds every morning and a very short walk to the pool and restaurant on site. We also booked an excursion through the lodge and loved it! We were able to zip line, and ride horseback to a waterfall then a viewpoint over the surrounding area. Just be aware that there is a long gravel road to get to the lodge, at points we were concerned that we weren’t going the right way but it was well worth it! We will definitely be back!

Very nice accomodation, good and friendly restaurant and very interesting to see the ecological cacao plantation process, which is an example in its kind. Worth visiting!

This was my second stay at Johanna’s Living Forest, and I made a special trip to return because I loved it so much the first time. This time, I brought my adult son, and we were both enchanted by the beauty and serenity of this magical place. The space truly lives up to its name — we were surrounded by lush, vibrant jungle, with a beautiful stream running through the property (and a perfect little swimming spot!). We saw incredible wildlife, including colorful birds and even toucans. A highlight of our stay was the morning class led by Johanna — a beautiful blend of chi gong and yoga that left us feeling grounded and refreshed. Johanna’s warmth and wisdom shine through in everything she does, creating an atmosphere that is both peaceful and inspiring. I can’t wait to return again and would recommend Living Forest to anyone looking for a deeply restorative and nature-filled retreat.

We had so much fun staying on the farm! It was beautiful with all the paths and plants throughout the property. We really enjoyed the included cocoa farm tour and the food was delicious. So many great amenities and easy access to Rio Celeste for our hike. Staying here was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend and we will be staying again someday.

We were not expecting to find such a magical Place like this, Is One of the cases were reality Is way Better than any pictures or descriptions. The cacao plantations are beatiful, the food Is Amazing and the room Is clean and comfortable. If you pass by, you Need to spend at least One night here!

This place is an absolute gem! The views of the lake Arenal are fantastic and the house has a charm that the pictures don't do it justice. You have see it in person to appreciate the place. Patrick and his wife were excellent hosts, very helpful with anything we needed. The house is minutes to Nuevo Arenal, lake Arenal and lake Cote, one hour and a half from La Fortuna in one direction and from Tenorio Volcan with Rio Celeste in another direction. e Excellent location to have for a base and visit a large area. Thank you for hosting us and we will be back!

Awesome place! Absolutely gorgeous property with tons of flora - so beautiful to walk through. There are howler monkeys that live in the forest behind that are super cool. Definitely something to go for if you’re looking for off the beaten path. Airbnb gives the wrong location instead go to the Santa Maria Volcano Lodge. Cabin itself was pretty simple but all I needed, the restaurant on the property was super good and had great wifi. Everyone was super friendly

It felt like your own peaceful corner of the world. Stunning views. Casita Bali was lovely, clean, and inviting. This is a more off the beaten path type place and perfect for that exact reason. Great host and communication. Hope to return.

We absolutely loved our stay! It was a unique place with extremely beautiful views of the mountains. Just be mindful that it is true to “glamping” meaning you will feel a lot of wind at night, which depending on your sleeping patterns can be challenging. Also, the place is a little off the beaten path, but we loved our time and would recommend.

I went with my 2 daughters (age 16 & 20) and we had a great time! The villa was beautiful, comfortable, and very well appointed. The view was incredible and just sitting on the porch listening to and watching the wildlife was the perfect way to relax. The fresh, local, organic food cooked by the staff was amazing! We enjoyed the pool, and a cold plunge in the spa. The gym was nice for a workout too. It’s about 20 mins to the towns and beaches in and around Nosara from the remote location up on the mountain so you aren’t popping in and out, but we planned ahead when we were spending time off site so it wasn’t a problem. The remote location made it special. Oh and the staff were all super friendly and accommodating! We highly recommend staying here.

I’m not sure where to even start. This place is one of a kind and if you have the opportunity to stay- you must! The views were absolutely incredible. We’d wake up early on a morning and see toucans flying in the trees below. Yami was also an incredible host and very helpful when needed!

We had a wonderful stay! Adriana and her mother were extremely helpful in setting up the room on short notice. They even hauled a refrigerator/ freezer to the outdoor kitchen for our use, along with all of the kitchen amenities. It was very clean, and the A/C worked well. Adriana also provided us with recommendations on where to access the river, and where to eat and find groceries.

Great place, awesome for kids with pool and to explore around. Beach is 5 min by car and place is very clean and comfortable.

We were only here briefly, but would definitely stay again if we ever came back to this part of Costa Rica! The property is so peaceful; very quiet, surrounded by trees and wildlife, and even though it was almost fully booked, it felt like we were there alone. The pool was a godsend - we used it 4 times in less than 24 hours! A quick walk to the beach (playa pelada) or a quick drive into playa guiones. The hosts were very accommodating with our early arrival, and offered local suggestions for restaurants and events.

This bed and breakfast is in an amazingly beautiful location. Although we had rainy and cold weather, we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the area, and it’s quite close to Selvatura Park. The value for the room is incredible - we could only imagine the views if the weather had been good for us (see reviews about the view when the weather is clear). Lastly, ask for extra blankets if the weather is rainy/cold, as the rooms aren’t heated. As the reviews state, the banana pancakes and coffee are amazing. Beautiful place!!!

We had a fantastic stay at Finca Amidstad. The onsite cacao workshop was incredible. The fresh juice for breakfast was delicious. Julian and the staff were very friendly and we’ll absolutely stay here again in the future. Thanks for everything!!

The setup is very cute! The Rio Celeste is a super short walk from the Airbnb. It felt like a private sanctuary in nature. All to ourselves. Loved it!

Gary’s place has a great little vibe. Super chill and friendly. The accommodations are basic but have everything you need. The pool is lovely with lush landscaping around the pool and a couple of hammocks for relaxing and napping.

beautiful setting. lots of nature around the place. the food at the restaurant within the hotel was really good and the people were really friendly. there are a few nature trails on site. lots of birds to see. The place was quiet and quite clean and the pool was beautiful. great restaurant/bar on site while we were there, we hired a local guide to take us through the Rincon National Park. it was really great and quite affordable as well We would highly recommend this guide. Finca La Amistad was AMAZING! We were there with my three young kids and they absolutely loved it. From the breakfast with fresh juice, fruit grown on the farm, and eggs, to the cacao tour and chocolate making (the tour is included in the price, the chocolate making is extra but very much worth it), everything was so delightful. Waking up to the sounds of the birds chirping was so peaceful, and the lush fauna surrounding our bungalow was so beautiful. I would definitely stay there again.
