Cottage vacation rentals in Guanacaste Province

This beautiful modern home is situated in a secluded location about 30 minutes from Monteverde Reserve. The host was very flexible with check in and very responsive with questions. The kitchen is equipped with all types of cooking utensils and the host provided breakfast items like eggs, milk, cereal, and coffee, as well as some snacks, fruit, and a bottle of champagne. The place was very luxurious compared to most cabins and lodges located in town where the rooms are basic and A/C is not available. It was nice to return to a comfortable, clean place to take a shower/bath and wind down after a day full of outdoor activities.

We enjoyed this Airbnb very much so, one of my favorites as it was hidden in the hills, very secluded and amazing views. Plenty of room for our group of friends to be comfortable. Every room had its own bathroom and a king bed very uncommon when you’re traveling with a group of people. No need to fight over who got the better bedroom. Big kitchen table, big lounge areas, large kitchen, balconies, and most of the rooms. Lounge area areas outside down below and up above. There was a detached lounge area outdoor patio with a Jacuzzi on it . This was the hot spring brand Jacuzzi. It seemed to be brand new and it worked very good and the water was hot. They had an outdoor shower and an outdoor bathroom near the Jacuzzi This is a very beautiful home built with quality products. Our host was very friendly and responsive of the entire time It sits on 10 acres sometimes I like having an Airbnb’s that have plenty of space where it feels very private We do lots of Airbnb’s. -positive

Casa Luna was the perfect beach getaway in Costa Rica! Sophie provided us with a beautiful home that was clean and filled with everything we needed. The space was exactly as pictured. It was private, and we enjoyed having our own space tucked away in the trees with the monkeys. Sophie provided us with amazing recommendations, we loved going to the private beaches nearby that she told us about. Once we figured out that the hot tub takes a little longer than we expected to heat up, we enjoyed our nights in it! Casa Luna and Sophie were fantastic and we’d love to come back and stay again and again!

This place was absolutely amazing. We are so glad we decided to stay here for a night. The entire stay was such a beautiful experience. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The place was spotless and the deck and views were phenomenal. 11/10 recommend!

We had an incredible stay at Aram and Natalie’s place! They were fantastic hosts—super responsive and even came right to the house when we needed something. The property itself was stunning, with both an outdoor and indoor kitchen that we made great use of. The pool was absolutely perfect in the hot weather—we found ourselves in it multiple times a day! We also loved the little details that made the stay extra special, like the outdoor shower, which was such a nice way to cool off. Aram and Natalie gave us great recommendations for local spots to visit, which made our trip even more memorable. To top it all off, when our child accidentally left behind some stuffed animals, they kindly offered to mail them back to us—such a thoughtful gesture! The ocean view and sunsets were breathtaking, making every moment there feel magical. Overall, an amazing experience with wonderful hosts. We would absolutely stay here again!

This is a perfect little casita in the cutest of towns. It was quick and easy to walk into town and find groceries, watch local sports and even catch an annual fiesta! The house has everything you can possibly need and sits on a hill overlooking the area. Neal and Diane (along with sweet little Fanny and Albert) are amazing hosts. So kind and helpful with whatever you will need. Absolutely loved this space and would recommend to anyone!

House is on a dairy farm, cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking, thank you very much. You do need to buy your food before you go since it is a little remote. There is someone working in the middle of the night next to the house and that might bother you if you are a light sleeper. One of the bathroom does not have hot water at the time and it seems common that kitchen does not have hot water. We are ok since there is another bathroom has warm enough water for shower.

David is an experienced host. You could tell by his communication, clear instructions and accurate descriptions and details. I would recommend this place to any one staying in the playa Hermosa area of Costa Rica.

Very functional accommodation in the middle of nature. Located 1km from a small supermarket and on the main axis of the bus going to Santa Cruz. If you're lucky, you can even hear and see the monkeys who live nearby. Lauren was very responsive during our stay. I recommend this place!

Authentic Costa Rican experience where we found our Pura Vida. Jessica was a very responsive host. Grounds were lovely and just steps away from the beach, the sunsets did not disappoint.

I cannot say enough about this experience, we lost our luggage and right from the get-go before we even landed Luis had found someone to pick it up the next day, he even went to the chemist for my medication. Waking up, listening to the howler monkeys, in what felt like a beautiful oasis in the middle of a jungle, set in a wildlife reserve, and being able to walk along the trails with my coffee and pyjamas early in the morning looking for the monkeys, was the most incredible experience. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous, with the most beautiful views, it felt luxurious, and cosy… so much so that we ate in two of the three nights, and Luis helped us get food delivered from the restaurants. He gave us advice.. helped us book trips… nothing was too much trouble…. The house was even nicer than I thought it was going to be. We had an incredible time.

Awesome location with no people. Very isolated which was awesome. You can hear the ocean from the bedroom and living area. We have already booked our return trip. It is an Eden experience. Love the place and will be back soon.

We have been traveling in Costa Rica for the last 2 months and Chechey’s place stood out in terms of value, location and host’s responsiveness. It has a very well-equipped kitchen and it has everything we would need. I really appreciate Chechey’s detailed recommendations on the activities to do nearby and we booked a 4-night stay because of that and we’re glad we did.

Beautiful little minimalistic house. It was perfect for us two ppl but we also felt it could be great for a couple with up to 2 kids. The induction stove was great and the beds comfortable. We were able to see lots of wildlife on the property monkeys, birds and lizards and loads of iguanas. We also saw a Central American Coral snake on the road outside the property on the road. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. It was around 35C degrees when we visited. The house has no AC but has powerful ceiling fans and the house gets a good breeze from the winds. It was hot during the day but the night cools down and we slept well. We stayed in Playa grande for the Surf and the house is located approximately 10min walk from the beach at a good walking pace (playa grande main peak). For the Low points: There is presently construction around the property so it gets a bit noisy during the day 7AM to 4PM. Overall 5 stars. Kai was also a great host.

My family and I had an amazing time at Esteban’s place. The house was clean, comfortable, and nice, plus the pool was a great bonus. We also loved the early check-in and late check-out. The location was perfect – away from the crowds, but still close to some great spots to eat, and Playa Avellanas was a beautiful beach to visit. Most importantly, the caretakers were very kind and friendly!

There is so much to say about Emanuel’s place! First of all it was in a gorgeous area. Please know 4x4 is highly recommended! The house had everything we needed. Emanuel’s mom was there to greet us and to show us the property and show some amazing hospitality! If you want the real experience stay here! We are already in the process of planning our next stay with Emanuel!

We arrived with our three young children, hoping to enjoy some pool and beach time and to relax as a family. The home and private and community pool was excellent and we all enjoyed both the pools and the beach, most especially San Juanillo. each, which was both close and family friendly. We explored a number of different beaches, but the extremely poor conditions of the local roads convinced us to stay closer to our property. We are glad we took the host's recommendation to rent a 4x4. Our family greatly enjoyed our week there!

A Home Away from Home! Tamarindo is a very bustling city, you can enjoy all of that... then walk a short distance to this little oasis . Reasons why I love this place (and one downside that is not within the owner's control): * Sparkling clean 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms, a well appointed kitchen and living room with EXCELLENT wifi and entertainment options on their TV (Netflix, Prime, etc). I was able to connect to my company's VPN with no issue and both of us worked happily with no lags. * The pool is amazing! Beach towels provided and floaty thingies to enjoy the water. Pictures do not do it justice and it was such a welcome activity to have a beverage and float on! There is a shade over the pool, too so you can have a slice of shade. * Washer/Dryer - We packed light knowing we could use this amenity. Downside? 1/2 kilometer to walk to shops/restaurants one must walk on the road along with the cars. Don't fret, other folks are walking here, too! Locals know to go around.
