Stable Barn, Lake District, Dog Friendly

RachelRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The most serene location and beautiful barn to spend a family holiday. The barn is located at a hilltop farm with a few other barn conversions around but felt remarkably private and very quiet. Plenty of room for our family of six and dog. A super boiler room for storage and drying of walking gear and a well equipped kitchen. We will most definitely return.

Camping pod in western lakes

Second time visiting- have been with kids and with a friend and would definitely come again. Clean toilet facilities (a must for me), the pod had just what we needed and we loved the honesty box set-up for the fire pit logs and marshmallows to toast.

The Cheese House Self Catering Cottage

AyseRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very kind and welcoming hosts. It’s a lovely peaceful experience to stay on their working farm. The sunset from the kitchen looking out at the horse and sheep in the field was beautiful. The stars at night are so clear too and the chickens outside in the morning was very cute my children loved seeing the animals each morning. Short 20 min drive for most shops and kids activities/farm parks but great amenities in kitchen for cooking there too.

DavidRating, 5 stars2 months ago
So grateful to Susan for hosting us at very short notice. Spent 3 nights here and would have loved to have stayed longer. The house was warm and cosy, the kitchen was well appointed with plenty of utensils etc to cook family meals. The lounge was very comfortable and the bedrooms also comfortable. Hot tub a definite bonus and spent every evening watching the stars. Lovely pub approx a mile away. Could have walked it but weather not ideal, served delicious food. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Cozy Cabin in peaceful Kirkcudbright!

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a fantastic place to stay! The Cozy Cabin was just right for the two of us. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and powerful, the wifi worked well and it was very well-equipped for making light meals. There was a lovely spot to sit outside for breakfast and watch the Highland cows in the adjacent field and the birds on the bird feeders in the garden. Natalie was a great host who had thought of everything we needed. Her recommendations for places to eat and drink in Kirkcudbright were spot on. Highly recommended all round. Thank you Natalie. We will be returning.

Charming 3 bedroom cottage on picturesque farm

LaurenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
What can I say, the best Airbnb we have stayed at to date! This place is perfect, you are in the middle of fields, with lambs everywhere, your own private loch that has kayaks available to use (great fun!), a secure garden to let the dogs roam freely. The house itself is bigger than the images seem, we had plenty of space for four adults, a toddler and three dogs. They provided a cot and high chair which is a great help. There’s a huge boot room which is great to throw off your coat and walking boots, and give the dogs a towel dry after a walk. Beds were perfectly comfortable, a cosy log fire, plenty of hot water in the showers, what more could you ask for! The house felt more like a home than a rental and we are already planning our next trip. The hosts were friendly and available for any questions you may have. My daughter didn’t want to come inside, she was obsessed with the sheep and being in the garden! only issue was signal for the firestick/ phones was poor but not an issue.

Self contained cottage private garden and hot tub

AshleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

suri luxury eco pod @ little peru alpaca farm

AmbhiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had such a wonderful time during our stay at Little Peru. Robin was incredibly thoughtful and had taken care of every little detail, which made our experience even more special. The highlight of our holiday was, without a doubt, the alpaca trekking. Spending time with Javier, Diego, and Santiago was truly unforgettable—they were so gentle and full of personality. We absolutely fell in love with them! Our children had a fantastic time and enjoyed every moment of the experience. It was not only fun but also surprisingly calming and therapeutic—something we’ll all remember for a long time. The pod itself was perfect for our family of four—spacious, cozy, and very well equipped. We felt right at home. We’d love to return again in the future and would highly recommend Little Peru to anyone looking for a unique and heartwarming getaway.

We had a wonderful week staying at 5 Austin Lodge. We loved the lodge, it was comfortable, modern, spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you’ll need and the under floor heating kept our toes toasty. Everyone loved the hot tub which was all set up and ready for us to use on arrival. The outside area felt private with a wonderful view of the fields and hills. We loved watching the sheep who would stroll by the garden as well as the cows in the distance. Communication with the hosts was excellent. We would highly recommend and would love to come back.

The Steading at Nabny, a peaceful country escape

SimonRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We’ve had a wonderful time here. It’s an absolutely perfect place. Instantly we felt at home. A loaf of homemade bread was awaiting us along with a warm welcome from Prit. The pictures really don’t do the place justice. It’s spotlessly clean, perfectly equipped and so peaceful. We had forgotten our bike rain cover and Prit generously allowed us to store them in his shed as the weather forecast turned wet🙏. We did have mixed experiences with the shower temperature. Sometimes they were hot and sometimes not. We used only one shower at a time in case the boiler couldn’t keep up but with mixed results. Apart from that small thing it’s a wonderful place and we loved it. We would love to return.
