Vacation rentals with a kayak in Virginia Beach

We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Canary Island! Pete & Kim are amazing hosts! The house was stunning, so beautifully decorated and the scenic view on the back deck is everything and more! We had everything we needed and more for our weekend stay, from complimentary coffee, soda, wine and water to all toiletries that we could possibly need. I loved all the personalized recommendations for restaurants and beaches. Pete & Kim went above and beyond to make my children's birthday extra special by welcoming us with balloons, snacks, birthday decorations & even added American flags for my son who is a Marine. It was so thoughtful and we truly felt welcomed. Thank you so much for helping us to feel at home!

The horses stopped by several times a day. It was magical. Just a short drive to the ocean where we conveniently parked our car on the beach. We had plenty of room on the beach. People were not on top of each other. It was a wonderful vacation! The house was spacious and nicely decorated. the kitchen was well stocked.

Great spot. Secluded back yard with plenty of seating. Amenities as described in the listing. Walkable to shops and dining. Donny was very responsive when I had a few questions. I would recommend checking out this home and Cape Charles.

Highly Recommend! My first time in Norfolk and I almost don’t want others to know about this place because it will be booked whenever I want to return. Peacefully neighbor and safe for women solo-traveler. The backyard is a dream and everything works great inside the home.

Lovely spot, well appointed with everything you need for a beach vacay. Super clean and organized. Comfy beds, awesome backyard, bikes and kayaks to borrow. We had a great stay!

Great place, great views !! This is probably the best Air Bnb that we have stayed. All our family members had great time in the house. Gina has planned the house so well, very clean and all household items you can imagine are available. Simply a great Host !!

Our family really enjoyed our stay in Cape Charles. Chris’s home was more than enough space for our family of 5. It rained one day and we were able to comfortably spread out and watch a movie, read, play board games, etc. The sizable yard was also lovely! It was nice to sit and have a coffee in the Adirondack chairs while our children played. Great spot for an evening cocktail too. The home is a quick golf cart or bike ride into town. We walked to dinner our first night and it was a leisurely 10-12 mins. There is mini golf across the street and the brewery is located down from mini golf. We ate breakfast at the pharmacy which is across the way as well. We enjoyed having access to the tennis courts at Bay Creek. If it was summer, I know we would have loved the pool. We can’t recommend Chris’s home enough!

Where to begin? Amanda & Matt were exceptional hosts! Their little slice of heaven was quaint and private with great water views. It’s tucked away on the inner banks and was the perfect quick getaway for our family. Their space is clean and comfortable equipped with everything that we needed for our trip. They even set up a pack n play and bouncer for our baby. Their space even has some toys and books for kids to enjoy! They also had fresh eggs for us to enjoy and were super accommodating with our check in and check out. Amanda and Matt were quick to respond with any questions we had. We couldn’t have asked for better hospitality during our stay and are sure to be back!! Thank you so much, Amanda and Matt!

My husband and I spent a week at the beach cottage. The location is unbeatable, just steps to the beach. If you are not fond of the sand, you can sit in the porch and enjoy the view. You will not want to leave! The house was clean and exactly as pictured. Cecilio and his wife answered promptly all of my questions about places to eat and things to do. If you enjoy fishing, the Ocean View pier (longest in the State of Virginia) is just a half a mile walk from the house, or a short drive. You can rent fishing poles, buy bait, and feel like a local. You can also get some crab traps and get blue crabs. The pier has a restaurant with a nice view and a full bar. The beach right outside the house feels private. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good book. If you like water activities, the cottage has plenty of beach gear, including paddle boarding, and kayaks. We wanted to relax and reconnect, and this place was the perfect spot for us. Highly recommended.

Loved the hardwood floors & outdoor space. The kayak was a bonus and the beach was steps from the cottage. I really appreciate that I could drop my bags and enjoy the Chesapeake Bay since I arrived so early. John is an excellent host. Will definitely stay here again!

Everything was wonderful, easy to get in, and our host John was very helpful and friendly. Hotub was clean no trash in the yards felt just like home. comfortable beds the walkway to the beach was very private enjoyed that as well. Overall our stay was amazing and would love to be able to stay there again. We had so much fun <3 provided us with some detergent to wash clothes I thought that was thoughtful.

Lovely time and great hosts. They made special arrangements for my wife's birthday and were gracious with our special requests. Thank you.

Great place for us to stay to visit family.

John was an amazing host. I didn't have to reach out to him during our stay because he proactively provided us with everything we needed. The house was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the beach and the comfortable sitting areas on the property. My fiancé and I were in town for a wedding and John's spot did not disappoint. We had a rental car and found great restaurants and attractions nearby. We also door dashed a couple times. John had great recommendations in the house manual. We will definitely be back.
