Hayguard Hay Barn with Wood burning hot tub.

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely stay here. Phil and Alison’s place has so many different aspects to it that worked for us as: close to the beautiful costal walls, lovely house (v comfy beds and lovely ceramics around the house), a games room, a hot tub, the lovely pond and the ducks and chickens, a lovely log burner … all we needed for a long weekend and a lovely open plan living area that made for a very inclusive experience. Phil and Alison were very welcoming and responsive. I’d definitely recommend this place and hope to return one day.

We had Amazing stay at Lois cottage. Everything exceeded our expectations. Lois was very welcoming. She gave us unforgettable experience. She provided to us everything we need. Even she provided to our kids boxes full of toys. She also took us to Chickens and gave my kids a chance to collect eggs. I really recommend her place to everyone and will definitely come back in the future. Thanks Lois

The Barn/Beudy bach

JonRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had a lovely few days at the Barn, using is as a base to explore the valleys, and sights in Carmarthenshire. The Barn is lovely and cosy - and actually feels bigger than it looks on the pictures. We loved the wood burning stove, with fuel provided and fire made the first night, which was a real treat to use - and if you are visiting at the right time of year, be sure to look outside at the stars in the dead of night, because we were able to see so much. The place would be easy to miss if you didn’t know where you were going, but we had very clear instructions beforehand and found it no trouble. To anyone wondering about the internet - some reviews here mention WiFi, but as advertised, there is no WiFi - which we actually enjoyed. If you need internet, mobile data doesn’t really work inside the barn, but was available as soon as one stepped outside, which was fine for our satnav purposes. Ann also offered to help us access the internet if there was an issue, but this wasn’t needed.

Eco-Barn in Brecon Beacons

AliceRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful barn conversion. Everything was high spec and it was a cosy yet spacious living space. Lovely kitchen and we were able to cook all our meals. Log burner was gorgeous as were the comfy sofas and chairs (my 8 year old son said the arm chairs were the most comfortable he had ever sat in!). My mother in law loved the high quality pillows and I was really pleased about the lovely hand wash and shower gel. Luxury touches! The surrounding countryside is breathtaking. We walked to the top of the hill opposite for panoramic mountain views. Had lovely afternoons out in Brecon and Hay on Wye. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We loved our stay at Hannah's place. Lovely home, perfect for our family. The house is well set up with everything you'd need and really clean and tidy. Lots of things for our 2 year old daughter to do and play with and really safe for her too, stair gates, enclosed private yard etc. Hannah was very helpful with directions and providing things we asked for like a high chair and cot. The location is really peaceful and quiet and was perfectly situated to get to loads of great walks and other activities in the Beacons and surrounding areas. We would recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to the region.

We couldn’t have asked for more for our stay , would 100% recommend for your trip to wales.

We loved our stay here. Dudley and Janet were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We loved getting a sneak peak at the new shepherd’s hut and a highlight was being told where to leave some chicken wings to sit and watch the red kites dive for them. The accommodation was spotless and had everything you’d need for a great stay. Thank you!

Church Cottage, idyllic riverbank location

ShelleyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Really stunning cottage in small cluster of houses next to a peaceful church. Lovely secure garden with fenced off section at end leading to a riverside location. So quiet and great with our two dogs, lots of footpath walks and amazing countryside. We spent our days on long countryside walks, exploring towns nearby and then cooking easy dinners in the evenings (food delivered by Morrisons nearby, which I arranged to deliver the night we arrived) Plus lots of wine too! A really lovely gem of a place in gorgeous surroundings.

The Byre @ Nantygwreiddyn Barns

PatRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The stay at The Byre exceeded all expectations by a long way. The spectacular location coupled with the high spec detail of the property make this a truly memorable place. The hosts, Sam and Neil were communicative throughout, so welcoming and very happy to show us around the farm including feeding the lambs and taking the pet lambs for a walk! The Byre is the perfect escape from all the hustle and bustle of life, but not so remote as the top hiking walks in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains are only a short drive away as are some lovely local pubs/restaurants serving top notch, hearty food. I would highly recommend a stay here and I will definitely be back again - making it a third stay.

GemmaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Perfect cosy cottage, felt like we were in the middle of nowhere very secluded which we were looking for but it was 5-10 mins in the car to the supermarket, shops and marina very handy for supplies or eating out. Within 30-40 mins of many beautiful beaches. Perfect location. Hot tub was lovely after a long day out and the cottage is superb loved taking dogs with us on holiday. Handy to have the washing machine too for longer stays, everything there you need and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. Brilliant host we can’t wait to book again to go back.

Ohhh I can’t praise Rachel and Gary’s place enough! Stunning cottage! So peaceful! A real home from home, cosy and everything you could possibly need under one roof! Pristine and spotless! The kingsized bed is phenomenal!!!!!! We had the best sleep ever! Such a spacious place! Plenty of room to move around and read in! Garden is fabulous and the hot tub which we didn’t get to use this time as the weather was a bit drizzly our first night but we’ll definitely be back in warmer weather! Amazingly helpful and the information pack was brilliant! Easy, clear instructions. They thought of everything! Such attention to detail! Peaceful surroundings. We could hear owls at night and birds tweeting and sheep bleating in the daytime. The kitchen had everything you need, the shower is fantastic! The upper floor is so lovely and the sofa is super comfortable! What a place! We loved it! Our little Cavapoo Ted settled in right away too! We can’t wait to return! Fabulous place and fabulous hosts! :)

First of all a massive thank you to our host, Rhys and his brilliant assistant Dan, for a great stay! We had a great time staying at this AirB'nB. Your property was stunning, everything was clean and tidy and well laid out plus all the amenities we could ever need. If we are ever in the area this will be our first choice everytime. The whole experiance was a 11 out of 10, and really helped make our holiday special. It was a privillage to be able to stay here and would re-book in a heartbeat. Amazing all round!

We had a fantastic stay at Dawn’s place. Extremely clean and well equipped. Dawn was hugely helpful and very responsive to all our questions and requests. It was a perfect place to stay, lovely and quiet, secluded and yet very close to the shops and the motorway. Seeing the horses and lambs each day was lovely, with the added bonus of a woodpecker too.

Hen Beudy: rural retreat in the Afan Valley

KatRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Group of us had great time in Hen Beudy. The place is exactly what we needed for trail running race in the area over the weekend. Very spacious house with lots of room, its warm, practical and clean with downstairs hard flooring. Relaxing in hot tub while watching green surroundings was lush after running those hills. It is in very peaceful location with no other houses just the forest so very quiet. Plenty to do in the area, weekend is not long enough. Phil and Debbie are great hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed. Would love to go back to stay there again.

Cwmderi, a green valley.

GilesRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A really well appointed and thoughtfully designed place to stay. A historical building that has been designed with modernity in mind but utilising traditional building materials such as the pointed slate walls and tiled floors with under floor heating. It’s well insulated so should you experience cold weather etc you can get the fire on and feel cosy inside. The views are lovely, it’s peaceful and a great way to detox from our digital lives.
