Join us for a 3hr historical stumble down the "street of shame". Starting in the shadow of the iconic St.Paul's cathedral, we explore the tiny backstreets and rambling courtyards the ancient City of London is famous for. We follow in the drunken footsteps of literary greats including Dickens, Shakespeare, Pepys & Johnson whilst pausing for a drink in at least 4 of the most historic pubs dating as far back as the 1500's. From discovering art nouveau gems to glamorous Victorian gin palaces we enjoy a variety of pub styles and breweries along the way. It's not a prescriptive tour, so you choose & pay for your drinks along the way. We're here to offer recommendations, and you can often "sip before you sup" with a few tasters on request from the bars along the way. This allows you to indulge as much or as little as you desire! Non-drinkers can soak up the history, and wine & gin-lovers are also well catered for. We usually finish up on the edge of Covent Garden perfect for theatre-land, restaurants and of course more pubs! Other note: - Guests are recommended to be over 18 years of age to enjoy the walk at its best. Retired Royal Guard Iconic London Walk

I invite you to join me to see Royal palaces and other iconic royal sites, hear personal stories of my experiences with members of the Royal Family and even get to see a piece of Prince William's and Kate's wedding cake! We will start at Trafalgar Square and hear about its history and then move on to see the pomp and pageantry of the Changing of the King's Life Guard. We then walk along The Mall to St James' Palace and Clarence House where I will tell you tales of Princes William and Harry the night before William's wedding. Next is a short walk to Buckingham Palace where you will have more opportunities to take photos and hear stories of the Royal household. We then walk into picturesque St James' Park where there is a chance to pause (kiosk available for drinks) and look at gifts presented to me by members of the Royal family. On the way to Parliament Square I will tell you all about the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben). The final part of the walk takes us along Whitehall, past Downing Street (home of the Prime Minister) and then to the spot where King Charles 1st was executed. We will finish back at Trafalgar Square. Other things to note: If on the 2pm walk we will see a shortened Guard change at 4pm. We will have an opportunity on the way for a short stop for you to buy drinks and visit a toilet.

Eliot, Virginia Woolf, Francis Bacon, and many other writers and artists. • Finally, we’ll end up at one of Keats’ old haunts: The Flask, a picturesque 1663 pub with a history full of highwaymen, strange initiation rites, and ghosts—in other words, the perfect setting for a poetry workshop. I’ll help you write a poem of your own, inspired by the beauty of the Heath. You’ll leave with your own poetry as well as a zine created to remember your time in Hampstead Heath.

We start by meeting in the historic Grassmarket, a central and easy to find location. Places we visit include Victoria Street, The Vennel, Greyfriars Bobby, Royal Mile, St Giles Cathedral plus more! During the shoot, we will explore the many hidden, cobbled streets and alleys of the beautifully preserved Gothic Old Town that to me are quintessntially Edinburgh. Along the way, I will give you posing tips to capture stunning photos of your time in this memorable city! Most my guests have never had photos taken before and it's normal to feel a bit nervous or shy at first. I promise that within 15 minutes, you will feel natural and confident! Within 2 to 3 days, I will send you 30 beautifully retouched photos to your email! I run this experience in all weather conditions, so please dress accordingly. Feel free to bring any extra accessories or garments to change up your look during the shoot if you wish. Babies under 2 are free.

Bays & Beaches of Ullswater by Kayak

Ullswater, quite rightly, is considered the most beautiful of the big lakes. It features bays & beaches, islands and lots of scenery. The ethos on the trips is always the same. Enjoy the scenery, have a chat, pass on a bit of knowledge to, and learn from, people looking for a similar venture. The first thing we'll do is sort out what's needed for the trip and introduce the boat. We use double ( tandem ) sea kayaks, unless there is an odd number of people on the trip, then the single is available. This is followed by a quick brief on what to do, then it's on to the water. There's no set route or furthest out point. I'll always take the group and the conditions into consideration. There is beautiful scenery all along the lake. For afternoon trips during the school holidays, please park in the village rather than the Sailing Centre itself. Be aware, on sunny days, the area will get busy. Be aware that if you have a BMI of 26 or over, weigh over 102 Kg ( 16 Stones ), or have very little upper body strength, this Experience is not for you. This is based on previous guests experiences.

Whisky and Tales

Let us start by saying the whisky is optional, drink alternatives are available and the cost of the whisky is not included in the £18.00. We do this to make the event as inclusive as possible for drinker, non drinker, whisky lovers and whisky sceptics alike. The whisky or drink alternatives can be added-on on the day. We meet just off the iconic Royal Mile inside a café/bar called Hot Toddy. We have the entire downstairs area reserved for us, ensuring lots of space for the group. During the course of two hours we will sample four outstanding Single Malt Scotch Whiskies from the four major whisky producing regions of Scotland. We will discus some of the history of Scotland and explore the reasons as to why whisky is now so ingrained as a staple of Scottish culture and we have some great tales from Scotland and the world of whisky to share with you. Other things to note This tour departs promptly and we can not wait for guests who are late. Feel free to turn up at Hot Toddy earlier to enjoy some food or drink before the event starts. Guests joining at 5pm or 7:30pm can also add a traditional Haggis dinner to their experience for an additional £14per person. This can be enjoyed in the venue upstairs, after the experience. People under the age of 18 are not permitted on this tour and exceptions can not be made I'm afraid.

Isle of Skye Smokehouse Tour & Tasting

Isle of Skye's only commercial smokehouse! A tour of the uniquely designed smokehouse is inspired to look like a traditional Scottish building called a cleit. A peat roof and stonewalled buildings from the bygone years. (Search on google St. Kilda and Cleit). Learn how the local alder wood is prepared by hand using an axe and used to fire the smokehouse and to create the smoke. I will talk about the various techniques of hot and cold smoking, wet and dry curing. Smell the secret 6 spice mix blend used in the current recipe to cure the salmon. Can you guess any of the spices? Finally the best bit tasting, Sample 5 different canapes. A twist on a Cullen Skink, Smoked salmon mousse on beetroot and blini, two additional tasting spoons. Small group Harry Potter walking tour

We'll discover the streets and secret alleyways of the Old Town area of Edinburgh, starting at Edinburgh Castle, then we'll wander down to "Diagon Alley" and find the gravestones of "Voldemort" and some other well known names in the Harry Potter series. We'll also spot "Hogwarts School" of Wizardry and find where the writer found her inspiration from. Learn about the famous and not so famous cafes where J.K. Rowling began her writing career and finished in the realms of luxury. The tour will last approximately 1 hour. However, please allow for an additional 20 minutes if tour runs over depending on group size, photo opportunities and question time. Other things to note The tour will be outdoors, whether rain or shine so come prepared to walk around for over an hour. If it is raining, I suggest to wear sturdy shoes - the graveyard can be muddy. Sights we'll see along the way include Downing Street, Westminster Abbey, Parliament Square, Horse Guard Parade, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. Our last stop in Westminster before heading underground on the tube is the start of Westminster Bridge where we will be able to see the Eye and other sights. Tour of Edinburgh Castle with Live Guide

This tour includes a little of The Royal Mile and a lot of The Castle. Set aside time after your tour to explore. The price advertised does not include the entrance price to the castle, this is because some people book their own tickets in advance. You can purchase castle tickets directly from us at the start of the tour for your convenience. We meet on the Royal Mile and start by giving a little background history to Edinburgh and the Castle to help put everything into context. Moving up to the castle esplanade where you will learn about the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and two of the most famous figures from Scottish history; Robert the Bruce and William Wallace. Entering the Castle we stop by the Argyle Battery where you will learn about the 1 o'clock gun. Moving on we head down to the Hospital Square where we get impressive views from the Western Panorama before heading up towards the castle barracks and prisoner of war camp, all these areas have enthralling stories that only a guide can bring to life. We then climb to the top of Castle Rock entering the medieval section of Edinburgh Castle. Here we see the oldest building in Edinburgh, St Margaret’s Chapel and Mons Meg, a monstrous canon! The standard tour will take place in the Old Town, for which we will meet in front of the St Giles Cathedral. If you already visited the old town and would like to try something different, I can also offer alternative locations. Here is a list of my favourite options, I will ask if you prefer these when you book: - Holyrood Park (for nature lovers): park in the centre of Edinburgh, just down the royal mile. We will head to St. Margaret's Loch and take pictures throughout the path on the way there. Perfect for nature lovers and for who wants a bit of calm in a busy day. - Calton Hill (great city view): hill with city views that hosts a number of monuments. It's one of the most popular postcard spots. You have an amazing choice of backgrounds (City Centre, Harbour, Arthur's seat and more) so we will never run out of pictures to take. - Dean Village (urban style): Bucolic village crossed by a tranquil stream, with gardens and 19th-century buildings. Suitable for people who are looking for a more urban style (the river allows for nature to also be included if desired) Every tour is very personal to me and I will do my best to make you feel at ease.
