Chalet vacation rentals in South West England

We chose Jo's place as it was close to Charmouth (11 mins) and Lyme Regis (14 mins by car). Our 6 year old son wanted to go fossil hunting. We arrived at Jo's cottage and she was there to greet us. She is very friendly and welcoming as well as her lovely dog Ruby. Jo also provided us with a travel cot and a changing mat for our 3 month old baby boy too, which was helpful. Jo provided us with a wheel barrow to carry our belongings to the Duck House as it was a little walk round the cottage. It's cosy and had all we needed. Our son liked the children's room he slept in and enjoyed the toys/games provided. My partner and my son did go in the swimming pool, however it was cold for our baby to go into. Jo did provide some bread, home made marmalade (that was lovely), butter, jam and milk. There was no hot water when we woke but when we contacted Jo she was straight on it and sorted it before we went out for the day. We enjoyed our stay - Thank you Jo.

I don't know where to start! The location was superb; it was right by the sea, in a tranquil place with breathtaking views. Fiona was incredible! Liked us up, dropped us off at the bus station, and even gave me a lift to the nearest town while I was late for dinner. She baked fresh homemade cheese scones, filling our hearts with love. It felt like Fiona, more than a host; she felt like a friend who was genuinely happy to see us. The care, the enthusiasm, and the hospitality were unmatched! I try to visit the Isle of Wight at least once a year, and now I've discovered my perfect place to stay! I genuinely recommend this place. It's a perfect place for a couple or two friends.

What a wonderful place to stay. The peace I sought was found, the relaxation that was so much needed was there and very much welcomed. Days spent walking in the New Forest were finished with a chilled glass of wine in the hot tub that was tended daily by a really lovely chap. The lodge was spacious, clean and comfortable with the basics of equipment there for your use, which is helpful. The whole experience is one I shall repeat and have already begun to tell others to check it out too

What a great place to spend a long weekend or week. It is pretty private you do not notice the neighbours and do not feel overlooked. The view is super and sleeping to the sound of the waves is fantastic. The place is comfortable, well equipped and warm. Loved the bath and just sitting on the deck. The car park worked well, we were prepared for the steps and it all felt like a real getaway. We never left the peninsular and did some great walks within a 10 min drive. Everywhere we ate was fantastic but the most enjoyable was eating on the huts deck. Ellie was great, the hut is wonderful and the area is a bit of a hidden and quirky gem.

We loved it so much the first time we visited back in 2020, that we came back. And just like then, it was fantastic. The cottage is absolutely lovely, the whole farm is amazing, and it is just so nice to walk around, see the cows, absorb the nature. Topping it all: Ailse and "Farmer Phillip", as our kids kept calling him. they just make you feel so welcomed, like you're part of the family. Our boys had a great time, and have to say their favourite part was undoubtedly playing with Effie. Thank you again for welcoming us to your place, and being so loving and accommodating.

A very comfortable and clean cabin with beautiful views across the valley. Contained all we needed. Local access to the coast path. There is a lovely coffee shop on the walk down to the beach. Great for events at Polhawn fort as it is walkable if needed.Lovely veranda when the sun shines.

Lovely stay at Tim's place with my hubby Lee and our pooch Huxley. The lodge was very peaceful, warm and comfortable. And the new railway sleeper bed is fab! Tim and his co-host Paulina were good hosts, we had one small issue with the wifi, which they worked to resolve very quickly. Lovely welcome items waiting for us, which was a great touch. I work in the area quite often and wouldn't hesitate to book Tim's space again in the future.

Great location! A cute airbnb with a lot of recent updates. Emma was a great host and we enjoyed our one night here!

This is our second time to book this cabin and it never disappoints! Very comfortable, peaceful surroundings and the private sauna was a bonus! Would love to book again with friends as a yearly cabin trip 🥰

Great host, really good communicator and very responsive to any questions. Easy to follow instructions for check in and they had left a lovely gift for my daughter as it was her 3rd Birthday, which was a very kind and personal touch. We made use of the private chef and hot tub which were both excellent. The house was immaculate and great for kids too, with plenty of toys and a large enclosed garden. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Olya’s beautiful Chalet for a hen party in February 2025. It was wonderful, we all had such a fabulous time and throughly enjoyed it at the chalet. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the whole premises. Olya is a fantastic host, very responsive and happy to help, also was very grateful with the flexibility with check in and out times.

Another great stay here with the family. The lodge is in a lovely position, spacious and well equipped. Steve communicated very efficiently and responded promptly. The cost has got rather expensive but you do get comfort and luxury. We would be happy to return again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Perfect for family holiday. We all felt very welcome and comfortable from day one, beds were comfy to sleep on with great smelling bedding. Luxurious hot tub kept clean and checked on everyday by site staff. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family

We stayed at Lodge 4 which was beautiful. It was immaculately clean and had everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus as well. Marge and Paul were very helpful and friendly on reception. Great location. A 10 minute walk through kiln park to get to the beach. A 20 minute walk into Tenby. A lovely little artisan bakery at the Paddock Inn in Penally literally 5 mins up the hill. Would thoroughly recommend and would return.

Joe was a great host and provided all information requested. Arrival was straightforward plenty of space. House was clean and welcoming. Photos need updating as property has been extended further. Shepherd hut in Garden was a great addition however it is cited at the bottom of a steep incline. The hot tub was a great addition and used well journey to the beach was about 15 minutes and parking was difficult but manageable. Shops et cetera were a short drive from the house. There were not many places to eat locally but plenty of takeaways if you needed them. A very enjoyable week in a lovely area about 30 minute drive to New Forest. Definitely worth considering.

Great place for a relaxing weekend. Everything needed was provided for, more than enough plates, cutlery, pans etc. beds were comfy, bathrooms large and showers lovely and hot. Our only issue was the sofas are a bit low to get out of so not really a complaint more of a comment for us middle aged ones. 😀 We will be coming back for another weekend. Thank you Tracy.

Fantastic stay at Tuftty Lodge. Such a lovely, large but cosy home and perfect for a Christmas getaway. Very responsive host and a beautiful area to explore. Thanks for everything Tracey, we will be back!

Lovely quiet little space away from the noise of a city and cars. Tucked away and peaceful. Chalet was cosy and relaxing, host was very clear with instructions and quick response time. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay. The views were beautiful. There was no phone signal, but the internet was good. Only thing to be aware of is not all the rooms are accessible from the communal space, though this didn't bother our group.

The accommodation was immaculate and had a homely feel with comfortable furniture and a large tv. The amenities were good with all of the kitchen accessories that we needed. The site is very well maintained and in a good location for Weymouth and exploring the Jurassic coast. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely and welcoming stay at the lodge. Myself and friends all joined with our children and was what we expected. We enjoyed using the kitchen / dining room for our New Year’s Eve / Day plans and was able to make full use of the kitchen as desired for our roast dinner. Beautiful scenery surrounding the lodge and especially a great view from the king size room looking out onto the lake. Only downfall was that there were a lot of hornets / flies inside the lodge during our stay Thank you for a lovely stay Gethin.

Jamie and Sarah were lovely hosts. Everything was as expected. Barney my dog loved to sit outside on the bank and watch the world go by. Then take a walk over the hills to the beach. Very quiet and peaceful.
