Townhouse in Hay-on-Wye

Hay on Wye townhouse, walled garden, sleeps 8

TracyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a lovely week here, it was great to be able to step out the door and be in the town centre, so much to do plus of course all the book shops! Great to be a short walk from the River Wye, plus we walked up onto the hills above Wye one day, beautiful views of Wye and the Brecons in the distance. The house is gorgeous, very old so lots of quirky character, plus the sun room was lovely as it was always warm even when it rained! Would highly recommend and would love to visit again sometime.

Beautiful- we loved it. 2nd visit- lovely, cozy, & warm- perfect central location for popping out and combing the bookshops for treasures, then nesting in with a stack of books for cosy evenings by the fire.

Room and breakfast in cosy house close to town

SamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The most hospitable couple you could ever meet. A wonderful location in walking distance of town that has a plethora of bars and restaurants to suit everyone's needs. Its stunning location means only short drive to the Black Moutains or Brecon Beacons perfect for ramblers who like to get out into nature. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Town Cottage

BobRating, 5 stars34 months ago
We were supposed to be staying at Town Cottage in Llanidloes but there was a problem with the boiler so Ruth very kindly let us stay at Lower Dolgenau instead. Therefore this review applies to Lower Dolgenau. It was a lovely cottage and although we were not in the town, the countryside was idyllic. We woke up every morning to the sounds of a babbling river, sheep and pheasants. The cottage is full of character and very cosy but plenty of space. The cottage is just off the road between the village of Trefeglwys and the hamlet of Llawr-y-Glyn. The nearest pub is about 2 miles away and it's only 7 miles to drive down the hill to the town which has some nice cafes, a bookshop and an organic food shop. It's a superb area for walking. Don't miss Llyn Clywedog or Hafren Forest and there are plenty more walks on the Llanidloes website.

2 Bed 2 Bath Apartment Abergavenny, Brecon Beacons

AllysonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely comfortable self contained flat with great views in beautiful estate setting, and easy to walk into the centre of Abergavenny. The one down side was lack of running water in the kitchen which wasn't ideal, with the host back and fore with clean utensils and fresh drinking water. This was not obvious from the listings.

"Ty Beti", grade II listed townhouse, Machynlleth

TimRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really nice place, worked perfectly for our party of 7. Plenty of space, handy Co Op just over the road and pubs, cafes etc really near by. We came to walk up Cadair Idris, just a 15 minute drive to the starting point car park. Loads of great walking and mountain biking near by. Beautiful area.

Finest Retreats | Hope House (Ty-Gobaith)

ColinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A really nice big property with lots of character. Dolgellau is a great location with lots to do. Hope House sits right in the centre of the town giving great access to all the different pubs, restaurants, cafes & shops. Plenty of walking out the door, up into the hills and woods. Cycling is great, with bigger walking challenges not far away at all. A perfect house to come back to after a good day out.

4 Bedroom House close to Abergavenny

FelicityRating, 5 stars4 days ago
A beautifully presented house felt right at home in a great location. Great instructions from the host who was lovely and friendly. Wonderful touches in the house like seasonal decor, our stay was near Halloween and the hosts had put out some small pumpkins that our family loved. The wine was a welcome extra after a long drive. Plenty of safe parking and easy access to the house. I would 100% come back to this house and would highly recommend staying. Thank you

Home from Home Family in Mid Wales

MargaretRating, 5 stars6 months ago
I ended up staying an extra night. It was also late when I did arrive (just after 23.00) but it was no issue whatsoever by either of my hosts (I made sure to discuss with them what was happening). They were very accommodating and hence I was happy to add an extra night to my stay

Kick off your boots & relax in historic Kington

MariannaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Kington is a very small & quite town. We stayed here just like at home. We had breakfast in a cosy garden & slept well also. Bradnor Hill walking path was wonderful. We played golf in the England's highest golf course in Kington. It was very beautiful & natural course. We want to come back again.
