Oak Cottage, Llanthony.

RubiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Can’t say enough amazing words about this place. It’s such a cozy cabin in a most beautiful place. It wasn’t cold enough to light a fire, but we loved the views, visits from the chickens, an apple from the trees, and did I mention the views. Claire is a lovely host. We can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay - we planned to hike Pen Y Fan and this was a great distance from the mountain. The place was super cosy and stocked with the essentials. Amy and her family were super helpful and friendly with some recommendations on what to do in the area.

Cottage retreat in isolated Welsh hills - sleeps 4

JessieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Dear Trish, Ian, and of course Janie <3 we cannot thank you enough for the most beautiful stay in your mini rural retreat. Words really cannot describe how much we enjoyed our time here. We had been planning a trip away for a long time, as a family.. and also a holiday for our beloved doggy blue. Safe to say, he enjoyed his time just as much as we did. We had not seen him so happy in a long time :) Trish's beautiful home comes with everything - it's warm, cosy, with unmeasurable amounts of character.. from the stunning wooden beams - to the thought that has gone into the wonderful soft furnishings. It's also perfect if you have a dog, Blue was made to feel just as welcome as we were. Cannot even begin to put into words the breathtaking panoramic views that surround the property, countryside as far as the eye can see. Incredible view to wake up to. I truly felt this short time away really helped to blow the cobwebs away, a sigh of relief. Really did not want to come home X

Nant yr Onnen Barn with hot tub

KatieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I stayed here with my partner for his birthday as a surprise, we hoped for somewhere peaceful and relaxing and Fiona’s place exceeded our expectations massively! The beds were the comfiest beds I have ever witnessed, the whole aesthetic of the barn was more than I could’ve dreamt about (and I will be taking notes for my own future home). The Towy Bridge Inn pub was a perfect spot to chat with the locals, everybody was so welcoming! One slight thing I would say, there are no curtains on the doors or windows in the lounge area, which isn’t so much a problem however it can be quite daunting on a night - very much so for somebody scared of the dark. (Other than the lack of curtains) I could not fault the barn one bit and we both hope to visit again sometime in the future! Thank you so much to Fiona for such a wonderful experience :)

Bechan Retreats-Barn Owl Lodge

LauraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We have an absolutely fantastic weekend stay! The lodge was spacious, clean and modern. The kitchen was very well equipped, bathrooms spotless, beds so comfortable and the views were just perfect. Loved waking up to mother and foal just the other side of the fence. The hot tub was clean and at a perfect temperature. The decked veranda was enclosed and safe for dogs. We found some beautiful walks not far away and had a lovely Sunday roast at the Bull and Heifer, which was recommended by the hosts. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and would 100% stay again!

We have had a great weekend away in Matthew’s cottage. It’s built to the highest standards, was very clean and super comfortable. Although it’s very close to the main house, it wasn’t an issue for us. Kitchen is equipped perfectly, including great coffee machine and Ninja Air Fryer. Location wise, it was perfect for us, we enjoyed great hikes and views. Thanks a lot

Idyllic, refurbished character barn. Sleeps 2.

ChloeRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Vera and Ian were incredibly helpful and friendly. They allowed us to check in a little early and even provided some helpful advice when we had car trouble. The annex is exactly as described and is set in such beautiful surroundings. We went for dinner at the Usk & Railway Inn which is walkable or a short drive and we had a lovely meal. Could not fault anything about our stay.

Stylish barn + all the comforts

GeoffreyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is a wonderful getaway house, very new and extremely stylish and Domus modern. Nicely appointed with very comfortable furniture and decor. For a B&B rental, the kitchen is extremely well appointed! The kitchen cutlery, glass and china, tools and equipment far exceeding our expectations. A real home away from home. Nancy and Tim have thought of everything (well, as much as is possible) to cater for anyone's needs. The beds are huge and comfortable. The view from the living room is over a valley with a plenitude of trees, and a young pheasant family! Unfortunately it was very wet for a chunk of the time but we were there for only two nights. We all wished it could have been much more. I can't recommend this place strongly enough. We are now planning how we can get back there again. Finally, the hospitality comes on a personal scale too with fresh eggs and other extras to make you feel welcome. Bravo Nancy and Tim.

Abergavenny - Barn on the slopes of the Sugar Loaf

MartinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really enjoyed our stay at Caitlin's Barn. Check-in and directions were clear and simple. The Barn itself is very well appointed; lovely thoughtful touches from logs for the fire, cushioned outdoor seating, choice of two ensuite rooms, great kitchen, and modern yet classic and unfussy decor. This is a tastefully decorated place, and everything you might need is also provided; from dishwasher tablets to towels. Spotlessly clean. The location is tranquil and calming, surrounded by hills and views in every direction with a real sense of peace and relaxation. The only neighbour noise was the gentle baaing of the sheep in the neighbouring fields. Great for dogs: totally secure fencing all around, zero chance of escape. Although the immediate surroundings are steep (it's on a hillside), the property and gardens themselves are totally flat, and landscaped beautifully. A real home away from home and a very short drive to cute Y Fenni. Highly recommend. Diolch Catilin.

Old Salting Barn: Brecon Beacons Historic Cottage

LiamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely long weekend getaway to Neil & Jim’s Old Salting Barn in Llandetty. This is such a charming and cosy Airbnb, cannot recommend it enough. It also has a fun games room if you have an afternoon or evening indoors! The Barn is situated in a great location, especially if you want to use it as a base to then do some exploring around the Brecon Beacons. We tried the Tor y Foel, Pen y Fan, and the Four Falls trail. (Although if you have a particularly small or low to the ground car, make sure to drive slowly on the driveway out of the farm as it’s a little uneven in some places — we heard a scrape once or twice as our tyre dipped.) All in all, highly recommend the Old Salting Barn. Neil was so helpful with recommended walks and restaurants for us to try, and helped out with all our other ad hoc queries! Thank you both, we expect we’ll be back again at some point :)

Ty Gwilym; a beautiful Brecons barn conversion

SallyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Just back from a fabulous stay at Ty Gwilym. The barn is so characterful and spacious, with everything that you need. The lounge and bedrooms are particularly comfortable. Jamie is very responsive and provided plenty of information about the area. He is very thoughtful about guest enjoyment. Llangorse Lake is only a short stroll away, as are two lovely pubs. There is also a community run shop that is well stocked. Ty Gwilym is well placed for visiting places like Crickhowell, Brecon and Hay on Wye. We throughly recommend a stay here and we will be back to stay again soon.

Fishers’ Retreat, set in nature, Brecon Beacons

JohnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Katy’s place is located in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful setting, surrounded by spectacular mountains and rivers with plenty of excellent walks to enjoy. The house has a nice, cozy feel with two good-sized bedrooms and full bathrooms along with a well equipped kitchen and lounge. The location is beautiful with plenty of wildlife and yet not too far from interesting places to visit including Hereford, Hay-on-Wye and other towns. The roads and trails along the mountains provide exceptional views of this rural landscape. We were looked after extremely well during our visit with plenty of advice on places of interest in the area, including trails, pubs and shops for provisions. In addition, Katy kindly provided home made granola as well as a pot of local yogurt and blackcurrants for breakfasts. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely cottage in Brecon converted from a stable.

KatyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My partner and I had a wonderful few days staying at the cottage. The property is absolutely beautiful and looks even better than the photos. The location is ideal and we loved being able to curl up next to the log burner after a long day of exploring the beautiful local surroundings! Elaine was an excellent host throughout our stay and always responded quickly to messages (although we didn’t need to message her during our stay as everything was perfect). Would visit again in a heartbeat. Thank you Elaine!
