Hut vacation rentals in Oxfordshire

This is a very special location and the Shepherd’s Hut was extremely well appointed with everything we needed. Lovely for a back-to-basics getaway: no power sockets or internet just lovely nature. Very comfortable bed, just beware if you like your feet to hang over the end of the bed, there’s no room for that!

Beautiful surroundings, Katherine was a fantastic host and was very welcoming. Lots of extra touches in the hut such as breakfast and milk. A 30 minute walk to the heart of Oxford along a scenic canal, stunning views, wildlife all around and easy to walk. Katherine kindly allowed us to park before check in time. We visited the Perch pub which is a 10 minute walk and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this accommodation. We stayed two nights and loved it! Book now you won’t be disappointed! Johnathon and Jenny were both great hosts, communication was brilliant, the hut was cosy well looked after and inviting plus the bonus of the hot tub that was heaven. All in all I’d thoroughly recommended this place to anyone.

Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

Very close to, just 15 minutes, but out of the sprawl of Oxford; in beautiful farmland with fabulous walks and charming pubs, rivers for dipping into. Beautifully decorated space with everything one needs, quietly located in the corner of a field. Really comfortable bed with cushions, perfect place to read, with good light and a window. Recommend local-ish Mason Arms for relaxed coffee and papers. Good shower and thoughtful makeup mirrors in communal bathroom. Very quick response (booked hours before!) and kind and welcoming welcome.

Had such a lovely couple of nights at Sue’s. Lovely little place. Very cozy with the log burner. Nice green and peaceful surroundings with lots of wildlife to see. And an amazing breakfast provided in the morning. Would highly recommend.

Gorgeous peaceful location! Super cosy and warm and clean! Would just say the boiler was very powerful and noisy all night - just something to bear in mind if you’re a light sleeper! And for future renter’s the hot tub for us took 4 hours to reach the correct temperature / needs a lot of time and attention to work, but worked perfectly when it did just plan in advance when you think you’ll want it!

We had a wonderful, albeit short, weekend break at Rachel's Shepherds hut. It was perfect for our two small dogs with an enclosed garden area, and we absolutely loved the location. You can walk endlessly around the stunning local countryside. Will definitely be back!

Great place, great location, great host And also able to book for the one night as many others have a minimum of two nights. The views from the shepherds hut is outstanding and Mark was a fantastic host and we would definitely stay again

Beautiful shepherd’s hut and included everything we’d need for a couple days break. Great privacy but with the safety of not being in a field on our own! The wood fired hot tub and bbq/fire pit were a great additional and we made use of the games too.

We stayed for 1 night, and I cannot recommend enough. All of the little details make this hut feel really special and comfortable. It has every thing you need (and more!). Mandy was more than happy to help when we needed something during our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back!

A lovely stay in the shepherd's hut at Bruern Farm, stunning peaceful location making it a great place for some r&r, with everything you could need. The fire pit a real bonus to take advantage of the weather we luckily had, lots to do and see. A great breakfast at the Bruern farm shop cafe, lovely trips to Burford (the garden co. is a must if your a gardener), food at The Fox in Barrington (lovely setting by the river) and The Old Shed.

Honestly probably the best air bnb stay we have ever had and we will be back! The place is easy find and absolutely spotless. All the little extras Jennie puts out are so cute and make the stay feel even more special! The eggs were incredible! The hot tub is easy to use and a great addition, plus the little stove is great for cooking up small tapas style dishes. If you are looking for an escape to switch off and read a good book with a glass of wine then this is for you!

Our stay at Aimee’s shepherd hut was absolutely fabulous! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the brilliant directions that made our journey so smooth. Aimee went above and beyond to make our anniversary celebration special—there were thoughtful touches and personal details that made the experience even more memorable. The decorations were lovely, adding a romantic vibe that we loved. We also appreciated the delicious food treats that were waiting for us, along with all the extra little touches that showed how much care Aimee puts into making guests feel welcome. The shepherd hut itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, creating the perfect, cozy escape. The tranquil setting, combined with the private hot tub and fire pit, made for a truly relaxing and unforgettable getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary trip. We had the best weekend, such a gorgeous location. Close to everything and surrounded by fields. Lovely hosts and a beautiful home! Just a quick mention - the hut is very close to the house which we didn’t mind and not enclosed for the dogs so had to walk them to go toilet so if that is something you don’t like or need. It’s good to know. Overall we would 100% recommendation and return x

2nd time staying at the hut . This place delivers every time. From the super cosy log fire to the outdoor jacuzzi and my favourite the cold plunge! Highly recommended.

The hut was absolutely lovely, in a great field which was perfect for the dog to run around freely. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The BBQ was great with logs provided. The local pub was brilliant and there was some great walks nearby. Would highly recommend and will return at some point in the future!

We had an amazing time here! The site was even nicer than I expected from the photos and bigger too. We had 14 people there very comfortably, the bell tents were spacious and actually quite cool in the heat wave. Shower was good and hot, and we loved swimming in the lake. Pete was very helpful at check in and gave us an amazing dinner recommendation nearby. Would definitely stay again!
