We stayed at the Hotel Peregrino for two nights and had a wonderful time. The historic center of Mérida is within walking distance, and the ADO bus terminal is, by car/taxi, just mere minutes away. The hotel manager was very welcoming, spoke impeccable English and supported us in anything we needed. We had booked a day trip which required us to leave before the official breakfast time, the staff was very supportive and prepared sandwiches, some fruit as well as tea for us to take on our way. We would definitely recommend Jim's place to anyone traveling to Mérida.

Simon's place was more Baptiste's place in my case as Baptiste was our main contact. Baptiste is very friendly and easy to communicate with. The place itself is a little magical. When you come from the busy street to the entrance hall, the world changes into a peaceful oasis, filled with sounds of birds and fountains, with never ending alleys that lead from one courtyard to another. The architecture is light and elegant and with a sense of time passed and standing still at the same time. You feel the presence of previous generations that lived here, with a sensation that the architecture beauty will outlive us. The room was stunning with high beamed ceilings. Loved the terrace under cover. Enchanting! Only downside the place is a bit far from decent coffee options,

This was my fifth stay at Villa Mérida and it most certainly won’t be my last. It is a tranquil oasis within the heart of a beautiful and dynamic city. There aren’t words sufficient to describe how welcoming and kind the staff are, including Batiste, the gracious concierge. We were so sad that we weren’t able to catch him before our departure to say goodbye. The Villa itself is pure magic. The pool was recently upgraded with a heating system that provides the perfect temperature for a relaxing dip. The landscaping is a tropical dream come true. The kitchen is the perfect place to meet other guests, grab coffee or espresso, and prepare a quick meal if you don’t feel like venturing out. If you are lucky enough to find rooms available, book them. You won’t be disappointed!

Staying in this room in Casa Perla, connected to the Palacito Secreto boutique hotel is as cozy and comfortable as staying in your own home. It is a delight to be able to enjoy your own terrace overlooking a peaceful garden and pool. Every detail in the room and the entire property is given proper attention by the welcoming staff. I was able to work remotely for two weeks, enjoying the convenience of my own kitchenette in my own terrace so it is ideal for long-term stays. I would definitively like to stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay! Batiste, the host, and other staff were so friendly and ran the place beautifully and professionally. It was private and peaceful but there were many opportunities to connect and visit with other guests. I also arrived to the surprise that my room was renovated and had a fantastic new and bigger layout which was perfect! The area felt very safe even at night, and it was very close and accessible to anywhere I wanted to visit. If not walkable, everything was a quick Uber ride away. I would absolutely recommend Villa Merida to anyone! Thanks to Batiste & co. For a lovely vacation.

This was a return trip for us, after six years away, and the property is even more wonderful now than before. You are staying in a historic mansion in downtown Merida and you feel like this sumptuous villa is yours. The ceilings must be almost 20 feet. The gardens and courtyards are iconic tropical Mexico. And the pool — now heated! Plus a large communal kitchen where you can make coffee and breakfast in the morning. The staff is welcoming and helpful. And your are within 20-25 minute walk to the Main Plaza and other centro attractions, restaurants and bars. Phenomenal.

An excellent place to relax, very quiet, super clean and very cozy. The center of Merida is 20 minutes away as well as Playa Progreso, very easy to get around from this point. Excellent place, I would definitely come back.

We loved it, I highly recommend the stay for couples, the place is clean, nice, with everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

the hotel seemed clean and safe and in a quite accessible area

The place is very nice and quiet. It is full of peace, almost no noise. It looks beautiful. It is in a central place however if you have to walk more than 10 min to get to the center.

It's a nice and nice place, it goes according to the photos and the price. We had a mishap with the bathroom, but the hosts resolved us immediately, in general there was good communication. It is located one block from a market and a few minutes from downtown, it was very good choice. The pool looked clean but we couldn't enjoy it anymore, yes we come back, thank you 🙂
