Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Monona

A comfortable stay in a great neighborhood of charming older homes with an amazing view of the lake. Since we were there in the colder season, we were not able to enjoy the lake access and water activities. our host Douglas was very responsive and had detailed helpful instructions.

The house was very spacious for our family of 6. We loved the location, view, and short drive to everything we wanted to do.

The house has old world farm-house charm and good vibes. The layout provides a number of rooms to hang out in so that folks can have privacy. The back yard is like an Andrew Wheth painting, with a few weathered back buildings and a cornfield. While it is sandwiched between a few houses, some businesses, and on a busy road, it always felt private. Bring a small fan to provide white noise to override some of the traffic noise, which was mostly in the morning.

We travel a lot and this is one of the best Air BnB's we've ever stayed at. This house is equipped with literally everything. It is very clean and well kept. There are thoughtful touches like soft sheets, nice bath products, blackout shades, games, and local recommendations. On top of that (and much more) there are also surprise luxury touches like heated toilet seats and floors. This house is so comfortable and feel like home. It is very close to Main Street, where we enjoyed going to a few different bars and restaurants. This would be the perfect place for a large family, several couples, or a group of friends.

What a lovely place! It’s a quiet neighborhood, but right next to the commuter path. Nice vibe and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this to friends and colleagues.

Rachel's place as an amazing stay. She was extremely responsive from the get-go and was flexible with our check-in time as we wanted to get in a bit earlier to celebrate the long weekend. It's really hard to find a home that is pet friendly and accomadates two large dogs but Rachel was extremely flexible and we had zero issues with bringing our big boys. We have four younger children and layout of the house was perfect. Many times we've stayed places where we are further away from the kids room which makes it hard to sleep easy. Not here. Set up like a home so security was not an issue especially that close to the water. Great area, extremely clean, felt like home walking in. No worries about bringing anything gross home with us. Will be a perfect spot in the summer due to its location and the dock. We will be bringing our friends back for sure! Thank you Rachel for a wonderful experience!

Perfect for a weekend getaway to Madison! Located by the state capitol, there’s tons to do and lots of places to eat and drink. Everything, including the UW Madison campus, is pretty close and easily accessible. Julia was super responsive over text for any questions we had - which was much appreciated! The house was super cute and perfect for two, we really enjoyed our stay :)

Jordyn's hospitality was unmatched! She was always pleasant to communicate with prior to our stay, once we arrived she never skipped a beat showing us the property and checked in with a message the next morning to see if everything went well the first night and asking if we needed anything. She went above and beyond when I asked if she had a 9x13 pan for cooking breakfast, she didn't, but she went and bought one right away so i didn't have to bring it from home. The property was cute and cozy, we highly recommend Jordyn and her property. An amazing experience. Thank you so much.

The location was quiet with easy access. The pool table was a plus. the beds were fine. Temperature control is an issue but the hosts were responsive. They are right upstairs and are early risers - o problem for us as we are as well. The kitchen is really a wet bar with no stove ore stove top. i understand this but would have loved more cooking options.

Great place for my family and I while we were visiting during the holidays. Exactly as described and comfortable for us all. Fred was friendly and responsive. We'd recommend this place.

This was a beautiful and peaceful retreat My dog and I loved to sit outside and listen to all the different kinds of birds the lake view and forest was beautiful The cabin was furnished just right and we enjoyed the sitting by the fire Taking my dog for a walk was enjoyable Thanks for a peace of quit rest

We very much enjoyed our stay at Granny's cottage. We went skiing at Devil's Head for the weekend and this place was the perfect place to stay! (Especially after reading the online reviews about the Devil's Head hotel/lodging...yikes!!). This place has everything you could possibly need, and then some. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a simple, peaceful, country getaway! Gretchen was very clear and upfront with her communication, and always very responsive to any questions we had. She does have a lot of "rules" but none of them are hard to follow as long as you are a semi-decent human being.

Very nice place to stay. Has a lot of fun games. the hot tub was good. Kitchenette has a hot plate, electric skillet, toaster oven and blender so you can cook simple foods

We had a family of 7 stay for the weekend for a baby shower. Céline home was beautiful, peaceful, and had all of the amenities you could ever need or think of. I would definitely recommend staying here if traveling with family in the area.

Kristen’s home was warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. We were a group of 6 women friends and were impressed with Kristen & Jack’s quick responses to all of our questions. The abundance of cozy seating areas, paired with charming decor and lofty high ceilings, created a wonderful ambiance. The property itself was stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed daily walks along the picturesque trails. The outdoor amenities, including the hot tub, sauna, and fire pit, added an extra touch of relaxation and fun. Inside, the kitchen was impressively stocked with everything we needed, and the pool table and ping pong table offered endless entertainment. The house was full of unique touches that made our stay truly special. Highly recommend and we hope to be back in the fall.

We had a great weekend! So much fun in the hot tub and enjoying the lake. Have a baby and they had so many things so we did not have to bring much from home. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

We had a blast by the riverside cottage. Lots of indoor as well as outdoor activities. The house has top notch facilities with lots of options for indoor games. There were lot of options for coffee, hot chocolate and toffees. Kayaks are available for outdoors activities. Checkin In was very easy and Tyler is great on communication. You might get your queries answered even before you get the opportunity to ask them :) . Over all we had a blast and I will give 10 out of 5 rating i.e. not 100% but 200% guaranteed that you will enjoy your stay.
