Vacation rentals with a beach view in Island of Hawai'i

We had an amazing stay at this truly unique home! Built in Bali and shipped to Hawaii, the house is a masterpiece of wood craftsmanship, blending traditional Balinese architecture with the natural beauty of its surroundings. The intricate open-air design, and thoughtfully curated details made it feel like a tropical retreat unlike any other. The atmosphere was both peaceful and inspiring, with plenty of space to relax and take in the stunning private environment. Everything was well-maintained, and the hosts were welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind experience with cultural charm, this is the place to be. We would absolutely love to return!

Maura was the most responsive host at all times to our questions before and during the stay. her place was pristine and neat. we spent most waking hours on the porch reading, watching the many birds, enjoying sunset. great location to tour the island with many ways to drive without having to go near kailua-kona and all its lights. 4 minutes to local Matsuyama Food market for essentials made it easy to get started on our stay we would stay again

We have stayed at a few airbnbs, but Chris’s place was the cleanest airbnb we have ever seen. Seriously. Even places that were far more expensive weren’t as clean as this place. Bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, even the carport- the entire place was spotless and clean. The driveway is steep but our rental car was a Mazda CX-30 and we had no problems going up or down. Rent an suv and follow Chris’s instructions and you’ll be fine. We loved how secluded and quiet Chris’s place is, while still being only 5-10 minutes away from stores, cafes, etc. Loved the location. Loved the views and the house even more. Also loved the playground in the backyard which was also clean. We especially want to thank Chris for providing various beach gear which was so so convenient. I have never written such a long review for anything in my life so hopefully this just shows how much we appreciated and enjoyed our stay at Chris’s house. Thank you so much!

Chris’s place was wonderful! The view from the great room is spectacular: full view of the ocean. So amazing to wake up to the view. We enjoyed the pool and dinners out on the deck. Lounged on the huge couch and watched movies at night. Used all the beach stuff available. The place was fully stocked. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. We couldn’t find a coffee maker or grinder( they had an espresso maker and keureg, but we were used to an old fashioned pot!) So they went out and bought them and delivered to our door within an hour. Quite the service! We would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Beautiful place, looked just like the pictures! Peaceful and quiet, all the furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. They provided nice touches throughout to make you feel at home.

Peaceful and relaxing stay! Mornings were especially lovely with the sound of birds chirping. The place was very clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need—even beach chairs, beach mats, beach umbrella and beach towels. We throughly loved the convenience of the in-unit washer and dryer. Chris was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely place. Very clean and island modern style. Facing the ocean with beautiful views. The host had put together a great list of things to do and restaurants nearby. Very courteous and friendly host. The property is located at the end of a small unpaved road and you wonder if it’s the right way. But once you get inside their gate, it’s just different and beautiful.

Nancy’s place is the ideal Airbnb rental. The condo has everything we needed to feel right at home. It is beautifully updated and maintained and the lanai was our favorite spot to hang out. In addition to being very responsive and welcoming, Nancy provided us with a great list of local restaurants at our request. Kona has everything you need for a relaxing vacation or as a jumping off place for other adventures on the island. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Heather’s Airbnb! It was great to be just south of Kona for a relaxing babymoon. We had everything we needed. The Airbnb itself was beautiful including the wrap around porches and views of the ocean. Heather was an amazing host and was quick to respond to any requests. She even happily agreed to taking some photos of my wife and I to remember our trip. We loved the fruit plate and daily visits from the cat, Tiger Lily. Hope we can come again some day!
