Boat vacation rentals in Government of Amsterdam

This was a fun and unique stay! Check in was easy. Exploring away from downtown was great and the free ferry was fun to take! The boat was perfect for our large group. We have a couple of tall people and they slept fine in the beds. Loved getting to stay on a boat in Amsterdam!

All good. Extremely responsive and accommodative host. Not ideal that the boat cannot be locked if you leave it. But quiet and safe neighbourhood and overall very pleasant stay in a cozy special location. Thanks a lot!

We traveled through Europe for a month, and we ended at the boat house. This was our favorite place we stayed and we could have stayed forever! It’s very comfortable and spacious, in an awesome neighborhood, walkable to the center, has fabulous restaurants around, and you can swim off the boat if you feel like it! The cats were fun and they loved their cuddles, which the kids (10 & 18) were absolutely pleased with. Instructions were clear, recommendations were great, and the hosts were very friendly and communicative. We loved our time here and would definitely book again if we are ever back in Amsterdam!

Sandra is a high quality boat captain, pedagogue, anxious to share her passion for sailing, mobilizing the energy of the passengers. His tips for choosing the circuit and the harbor steps are wise and we were looking forward to following them. This historic boat (it is over 100 years old), in perfect condition is ideal to make its first weapons of sailors. The whole family was delighted to participate in the maneuvers. We had a great few days in this comfy boat in a great location. The access is described and quite steep but we managed fine with kids and bags. It was a highlight of our trip.

Harold's cozy houseboat is ideal for a few days' stay in Amsterdam. By public transport you are super fast in the city center! The houseboat is cozily furnished and it's a little adventure to stay in if you're not used to it. Harold is very friendly and even gave us a fruit basket and a bottle of wine to welcome us!

Our first time to Amsterdam and we wanted the full canal experience of staying on a houseboat. The Lucy Lou was a great experience. In such a quiet and peaceful part of Amsterdam but only a few minutes walk to get public transportation which was so easy to use and get to everywhere we wanted. Accommodation was everything we needed and Nadine an extremely responsive host.

Egbert’s place is an ABSOLUTE GEM, it was a unique experience staying on a boat and still having easy access to the city. Egbert is a very attentive and caring host even going the extra mile to leave some of his favorite beers for us to try. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back again!

We can really recommend staying on the boat. The location is something special, sitting in the wheelhouse watching the sun go down and the boats coming and going was so relaxing, you are surrounded by water birds and the gentle sounds of the harbour. Soooo easy to get into Amsterdam on the bus and tube. If you want to see more of the area get the bus to Edam, walk to Vollendam then ferry to Marken and a bus back home, great cafes in every town and all are fascinating to walk round. We feel very lucky to have spent time on Johanna.

A whole experience spending a few days in a houseboat. Everything was very clean and Miriam was always very attentive. Would come back

Nice host, nice space. Bedrooms are of course small. Beds are good. No dishwasher. We didn't mind but good to know. Beautiful berth.

Stay was OK. Location is not the best, yet we knew what we are going for. Place feels bigger than it is described, we had 5 people and had no trouble. Heater works great, although instructions how to turn it on could be more help:)) Facility is clean and quiet: perfect for families. One thing that there are not much light around the marine, so make sure to arrive during the light hours for check-in, since otherwise it is easy to get lost.

This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re considering staying here, just do it! The location was incredible. We were in the middle of everything and it was very convenient to the train and tram stations. The houseboat itself was perfect. It is small, but that didn’t bother us one bit. We loved watching all the boats go by from the comfort of the kitchen table. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Nice place from where the city center of Amsterdam is easily accessible. Great to be able to leave the hustle and bustle of the city in peace in the evening. Recommended!

A wonderful stay with a wonderful host. Staying in a boat was a true treat. A little further from the city centre than expected but it was still fairly easy to get to hotspots via trams / Uber.

Staying aboard the good ship Levantus for five days was an absolute joy. The photos truly capture its unique charm, luxurious feel, and cosy atmosphere. It’s a warm and inviting nest, making it the perfect base for exploring Amsterdam. Getting to and from the boat is easy, with a short tram or bus ride from Centraal Station and the city center. The surrounding neighborhood is peaceful and interesting, with plenty of excellent cafes and restaurants for those evenings when you want to stay local. Roy and Xander were exceptional hosts - their warm and friendly welcome made our stay unforgettable. Their thoughtful recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit were spot-on and greatly appreciated. Levantus was everything we could have hoped for and more. Special thanks to our amazing hosts for making our holiday truly perfect. Would highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Speranza. The space was perfect for our explorations of Amsterdam. It’s a short walk down West Dock to shops, restaurants and anything else you may need. It’s a magical walk at night. Staying on a boat was great. The bed was superb. The rooms impeccably clean. Joyce and Ernst were very helpful and always there if we needed anything. Wish we could have stayed longer

Had a lovely 2 night stay at Irene’s houseboat not far from Amsterdam (~35 mins by public transport)but very peaceful . Really nice and comfortable accommodation with everything you need. Irene was very helpful and gave good instruction to get to the house boat
