Boat vacation rentals in Government of Amsterdam

We had a great time on Egbert's houseboat! He is a very chill guy and the boat is ideal for bigger groups, located in a beautiful area.

Superb stay very close to the Amsterdam city center. Very spacious, high quality and convenient. In particular we enjoyed the fire place (which was pre-arranged for us before our arrival), the fully equipped kitchen and of course the two very friendly cats.

Sandra is a high quality boat captain, pedagogue, anxious to share her passion for sailing, mobilizing the energy of the passengers. His tips for choosing the circuit and the harbor steps are wise and we were looking forward to following them. This historic boat (it is over 100 years old), in perfect condition is ideal to make its first weapons of sailors. The whole family was delighted to participate in the maneuvers. Perfect location on the canal, yet somehow felt adequately private. Warm as you want it be, hot showers, and great atmosphere with the passing boats.

Harold's cozy houseboat is ideal for a few days' stay in Amsterdam. By public transport you are super fast in the city center! The houseboat is cozily furnished and it's a little adventure to stay in if you're not used to it. Harold is very friendly and even gave us a fruit basket and a bottle of wine to welcome us!

Nadine was a fantastic host who was kind and communicative. Their listing not only matched the description, but surpassed all expectations. It is as peaceful as it is beautiful and completely walkable to restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and parks. I cannot recommend staying here enough!

We can really recommend staying on the boat. The location is something special, sitting in the wheelhouse watching the sun go down and the boats coming and going was so relaxing, you are surrounded by water birds and the gentle sounds of the harbour. Soooo easy to get into Amsterdam on the bus and tube. If you want to see more of the area get the bus to Edam, walk to Vollendam then ferry to Marken and a bus back home, great cafes in every town and all are fascinating to walk round. We feel very lucky to have spent time on Johanna.

Amazing place to stay at, super warm and cozy, while at the same time being spacious as well. We went as a larger group of people and were very comfortable, the host is very kind and responsive as well. Will 100% be back and suggest everyone to stay at this ship :)

Nice host, nice space. Bedrooms are of course small. Beds are good. No dishwasher. We didn't mind but good to know. Beautiful berth.

Had a great stay on the houseboat. The location was wonderful, especially due to the proximity to the nearest train stop (about 5 minutes walk). The boat was even bigger than expected from the inside. As a group of 10, we had enough space. Messages were responded to quickly and always in a friendly manner. We were also warmly welcomed at check-in. For a short time the water went out, but we were helped within a few minutes (the water tank was empty). Kitchen and bathroom as well as beds were clean. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. Thanks very much Tim and co. for a great weekend in Amsterdam!

This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re considering staying here, just do it! The location was incredible. We were in the middle of everything and it was very convenient to the train and tram stations. The houseboat itself was perfect. It is small, but that didn’t bother us one bit. We loved watching all the boats go by from the comfort of the kitchen table. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Our hosts left adult and kid-friendly treats for us upon arrival- and the jesters of hospitality made me feel very welcomed! Family of 5- kids 13, 7 and 4. Apprehensive at first - but this was the best decision we made the whole trip. Unique experience for our girls, walking distance to great restaurants, ice cream, bakery. Uber was super easy for pickup at the end of the street. Hosts were responsive with our delayed arrival, and question on the heater. There’s a washer/dryer, hair dryer, k cup style coffee maker. It’s very quiet- my girls arguing over who could punch in the code was the loudest I heard the whole trip. If you are surfing for a location like I was for your family friendly Amsterdam trip- book this boat for 3+ nights- I’m telling you it’s worth it. Mom approved! :) 🏆🏆🏆

Gros was a lovely host for our weekend in Amsterdam, and was very proactive with communication. The yacht was a very charming base of operations, about a 10 minute walk from metro/tram/bus services. Would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and looked like on the pictures. Michiel was very helpful and showed us things to do. It was a really great experience!

We had 3 very peaceful and comfortable days on Amalia, great central location yet out of the crowds, charming boat, friendly host!

Had a fab stay on the boat- more interesting than an apartment! Joyce was super friendly and we had everything we needed including a simple breakfast, comfy beds and a clean bathroom. The steps in and down to the bathroom were a little precarious for my mum in her 70s but we would still come again!
