Hi! We are a family of five! Lucy, Geoff, Layla (5), Orson (3) and Arto (4 months). Sometimes we go away for a week or so and give others the opportunity to rent out our home. The house has the most amazing, calming energy. The kitchen/ dining room is open plan. There's a hot tub and sauna in the garden, with views over a woodland and a lake. This would be a great space for trialing out living in the beautiful town of Forest Row, within walking distance to the Ashdown Forest.

Have fun with the whole family at this stylish home. Recently completely renovated and new to the market, our 5 bedroom holiday home is a perfect place to get away with friends or family. Can sleep up to 14 - 8 adults and 6 kids. (with our 2 secret kids beds, which our kids love) over 5 bedrooms. Ideally situated within a 2 minute walk to the Camber beach, opposite the bus stop to historic Rye as well as many other activities such as golf, cycling and watersports.

You have access to 3 floors – two lovely bedrooms, comfy king beds, cotton linen, towels, big window and high ceilings; 1 bathroom, with bath & strong shower & natural toiletries; living /dining room, with big TV and fireplace; bright kitchen and patio & garden. Free parking on the road; 10-minute walk to beach, 5 to the train! The Old Town and St Leonard's are all walkable.

Our family had a wonderful few days at the gorgeous Oast House property. Stunning setting with views across the fields. Local walks were great and maps available, along with local attractions all close by. Heather prepared an amazing meal for us which was well worth the money and the property had everything we needed for a peaceful and enjoyable few days away from the big smoke. The guest book in the property says it all about what a fantastic place this is. Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Clear instructions from Clare led to an easy check in and there began a very relaxing short stay for our extended family. The house was well equipped and spacious with everything in working order. The highlights were walks across the beautiful sands with the kids and our dog. Would revisit.

We stayed for a night at Louisa’s place- only regret we had was not booking the place for another night. It was very homey and comfy and almost perfect- the stove wasn’t working properly, but thankfully we had a lighter on hand. Another thing was that we thought there would be shower gel prepared- unfortunately there wasn’t any, but there’s a co-op down the road so it wasn’t a big deal. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay! Would definitely recommend, and would come back.

What an amazing find! We booked relatively late, and managed to squeeze in a few days at this wonderful cottage. The location was perfect for us (a family of three, with a 5 year old who literally never tires). We did daily visits to the beach (literally a few minutes away), a cycle ride into Rye, a trip to Bodiam castle, and a day trip to the Rare Breeds Centre, which has so much to offer for young children. We also had dinner in Rye one evening, and another at The Owl, just a few minutes walk down the road from the cottage. The house was superb, offering everything we needed for our long weekend (definitely one of the best we have stayed at), with so many thoughtful touches and offerings. The small but perfectly formed garden was wonderful to catch the sunshine in the afternoon, and we appreciated relaxing on the very comfy sofas once the little one was finally tucked up in bed. The house has been incredibly well thought out, and we would return in a heartbeat.

Flor and Niall's house was exactly as described. It was extremely clean on arrival. We all slept well as the beds were very comfy. The proximity to the beach was brilliant! One minute walk away means you can go to and from the beach several times a day, to swim, play or go for a walk. We found a nearby playground and also football goals, a basketball court and skate ramps at Johnson's Field. We really appreciated the Welcome Information sent by the hosts before our trip and enjoyed the loop walks highlighted. Also, round the corner, was one of the host's recommendations, Rye Bay Bar & Grill, which was really relaxing and friendly with great food.

Perfect house - we were a group of 8 old friends reuniting with a weekend away and it couldn’t have been a better place. Clean spacious house, super comfortable beds and great kitchen area with lovely garden for BBQs and ping pong table was great. Walking distance to the beach and Rye just a bit further. Will be back!!

Ideal location for us as we were having our kitchen done and needed somewhere to stay for a couple of weeks. It was out of season, but the whole site was friendly and quiet and the bar was open on the weekends. Place was warm and comfortable with everything we needed for a short stay. Communication was good with clear instructions on booking in and out.

I loved this spot. If I come to Brighton again I would love to stay at Meghan’s. Accurate listing, very walkable, and very clean. She went above and beyond with champagne waiting for us. Hate to rate this one as it is a hidden gem, but she deserves it.
