House vacation rentals in East Sussex

The accommodation is delightful, in a quiet location, well equipped, very comfortable and squeaky clean. It has everything that any visitor could possibly want as well as a couple of foxes who visit the garden. The location is very central with many attractions and National Trust properties close by. Corrina answered my enquiry, regarding an extra nights stay, within 10 minutes and left very clear and concise instructions regarding Wi-Fi, heating etc. I would thoroughly recommend the accommodation to family and friends and we hope to stay again next year.

We had a lovely time at Sophie’s place. It was warm and homely and perfect for what we needed. We were a family group with a mix of ages and it was just right for everyone. The pool was a great source of fun for the kids, while the adults enjoyed snooker. The garden is stunning and was full of autumnal colours. We were even greeted by deer one night! The rooms suited our group with enough space for everyone (and enough bathrooms!) The house is in walking distance of pubs and beautiful woodland walks yet still very private. We had a lovely week and would definitely come back again. Thank you!!

We had an amazing 6-day stay at Ross’s property, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views of the Camber sky and stars. My wife and I explored Camber Beach, Hastings, and Rye during our trip, and the stay exceeded our expectations in every way. Ross has done a fantastic job making the place feel warm and welcoming. From the moment we booked, we received clear and helpful instructions, map and location guide and a brief about the amenities, house rules, and recommendations for nearby places to visit. December might be a quieter time compared to the bustling summer months, but that worked perfectly for us. We truly enjoyed the privacy and calm, with fewer visitors and no crowds. The dark skies were a highlight, offering an incredible backdrop for stargazing. The resort felt wonderfully secluded, with few families around, giving us plenty of space to relax and unwind. Thank you, Ross, for making our stay so comfortable and memorable.

We spent a lovely week at Alison's farm. Beautiful location near charming Ticehurst and Wadhurst (both have good Pubs), incredible views across open countryside and hills from the heated outdoor pool, which our daughter loved. Slides, swings and a trampoline bonus points with kids. Alison was friendly and helpful. The Shed itself is warm and comfortable, kitchen is kitted out for basic meals, and the two ensuite bathrooms are super spacious and have good showers with hot water plus bathtubs. There is so much to do in the area from beautiful walks, tastings at vineyards, to cyclyng in Bedgbury, boating in Bewl Water and seaside beauties Rye and Camber in the vicinity.

Carrie is a fantastic host and we enjoyed our stay at her place. The cottage has everything you need for a long family stay. And families with young kids will enjoy extra stuff like high chairs and toys. There is also a nice private garden and the bbq area.

We had a fantastic stay at the barn this November. Michelle was a great communicator for any questions I had which made the whole process effortless. The owners are lovely and the barn exactly as described. Hoping to return in the Summer to be able to take advantage of the pool.

Amazing spot for a group weekend away, hot tub fit 10 adults and plenty of space for 6 younger children including high chairs provided which was great!

This house is absolutely fantastic. Our group of 9 including a teen and two 9-year-olds stayed very comfortably for a week with a typically English mix of weather and the house accommodated us amply. The spaces were all individual, relaxing and full of beautiful furniture and art, we loved the characterful high-ceilinged garden room and the sitting room big enough for all 9 of us to play games. All the first floor bedrooms were large with comfortable beds and generous storage, and the second floor attic with two bedrooms and a relaxing space between was a great little world away. The rambling garden and the tennis court, trampoline, warm pool and table tennis were a real hit with our group. Locally there was something for everyone, highlights including great walks from the house along the river and up onto the spine of the South Downs, and garden visits to High Beeches and Sussex Prairie Gardens. Enzo and Lucy are well deserved superhosts, we would return in a heartbeat.

Perfect accommodation for our needs. Well appointed with everything we needed. Easy walking reach of Harbour and Seafront. We also had to add an additional dog at the last minute and it was no problem. Will definitely use again. Thanks Sandra

We had a lovely weekend in Sharon’s house, a very short walk to the expanse of Camber Sands. The house was lovely and clean and Sharon was very helpful in terms of communication and in letting us check in earlier and check out later. Easily walkable into Rye, which we did to shop and eat. Sharon’s recommendations were spot on too - The Owl in Camber and the Whitehouse in Rye were both amazing. We had a great weekend and I can thoroughly recommend Sharon’s very clean and tidy house. we had a great time at Tim & Sue's place, easy to find, very central, and very helpful hosts. The beds were all comfy, including the sofa bed in the lounge, and the kitchen area was great for hosting our group. would recommend for a group trip!

Jonathan’s communication was great. The place was as described and lovely. The place was close enough to town but also quiet enough if you don’t want to be directly in town. His place was perfect to host my family for the weekend while visiting my brother in law. We will be requesting future stays when we visit.

Prior to going Faye was proactive with messaging details and helpful information, to the point where I had no questions before arrival. The place was exactly as described and perfect for a weekend getaway with our family. We found everything well kept and perfectly located to access Brighton for the weekend. We would recommend this place to all!

Fabulous house with lots of character. Comfortable beds and excellent facilities. Very helpful with check in. Husband is on oxygen which had to be delivered. They were extremely helpful and flexible with delivery and collection. This is not always the case with other air b&bs. Our dogs loved the secure garden! Thankyou!!

Barefoot was welcoming and very family and pet friendly, we stayed for the weekend and had an absolutely amazing time. The fire pit, African drums, comfortable outdoor chairs and dining table, clean towels for both the beach and showers. We had such a good weekend, the weather was amazing and so was the beach house more than i would expect the facility's really are amazing everything you could possible need including drinks fridge, coffee machine with pods provided, dishwasher tablets, washing machine literally you need to take nothing but food and drinks. The best Air B and B I have stayed in and would definitely go again. Thank you Mark for sharing your beautiful family beach house.

Stayed here for a long weekend during Pride and we had the best time. Property was immaculate, nice bedrooms and we loved sitting in the courtyard garden. Ben was super helpful and the best host - thank you. Will definitely cone back next year!

Nick's place was a delightful place to stay for our weekend in Brighton. The house is charming and homely and had everything we needed. The neighbourhood is quiet and only a short walk from nice cafes, the local shops and the beach. Brighton was busy and Nick's place felt like a welcome haven away from the busy centre of Brighton. Nick is a thoughtful, kind host and we would be delighted to come again.

Great place and location for a girlie weekend of shopping in nearby towns and really early flight departure as only 10 mins drive from airport. Would stay again.

Dominic's place is in a great location and has a nice parking space right next to the door. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our 10 day stay. The kitchen is compact but has everything you need for preparing meals at home. It also has a washer/dryer that works very well. Dominic was quick to respond to my messages and a very accommodating host. It was really easy to walk downtown from the house and there were two local grocery stores close by so we only needed to use the car for our trips outside Tunbridge Wells to see some of the local castles, historic homes and gardens. The beds and sofas were very comfortable and I really enjoyed the large bathtub. Both bedrooms had plenty of drawers and space to hang clothes. There was a nice patio but we didn't use it because the weather was cold and rainy. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect house for our family of 5 - just a gorgeous little place! Just a stones throw away from the beach, so it was a great location, comfortable beds and had everything needed for our short break. Cute little puzzle game with prizes and lots of board games, with so many extra things to make the stay more enjoyable and to make you feel at home. From the marshmallow bbq toasting kit, Ice poles, milk in the fridge and some welcome snacks - just really thoughtful touches. Mehtab was super helpful and responsive and was very accommodating when we asked for an earlier check in time. We loved our stay and will definitely visit again. 100% recommend Mehtab’s place!

We had a great stay in Sophie's beautiful home. The house was super clean and tidy and so well organised! It even inspired my very messy 9 year old to try to organise and tidy her room when we got home! It was lovely and cosy and had everything we could possibly want for our stay. The area was lovely and peaceful and my 2 girls loved the park round the corner. Sophie was always super speedy at responding to any messages and couldn't have been more helpful. We would highly recommend.

From start to finish Gabby was a great host. Lots of communication about the property, easy to follow directions, and the little extras like fruit, bread and milk make all the difference. A great little place that allowed us to relax whilst visiting our son.
