Amazing place - everything you needed. Well out in the country but close enough to big towns. So quiet, warm and homely. A lovely weekend spent with family.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Barn. Steve & Tessa were very friendly and helpful. The Barn was super cute and had everything you need for a short stay. The beds were very comfy and it was lovely and clean. We loved being able to walk straight out on to the Moor & have a pub in walking distance! Beautiful family weekend. Thanks for having us!

Super cottage to stay in. Lovely and quiet with the occasional honk from the geese. Clean, tidy with an excellently appointed kitchen.

We had such a lovely time staying at Sandra's! We were a couple with a 1 year old and thought the space was perfect for the three of us. We really appreciated the travel cot provided, and our daughter loved the baby swing in the garden. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful views, and the space with the fireplace was so cosy for a cold winter's stay! Sandra was a great host, very welcoming and helpful, and the recommendations for places to eat were spot on. We'd very happily come back, as it was the perfect location for visiting Exeter, Totnes, and Buckfastleigh!

Unique cottage! So interesting to be on a tidal river and lovely views - but be sure to pay close attention to Kate's instructions/details on how to manage the tides! Don't recommend arriving at night if you can avoid it - was a bit tricky to navigate in the dark! But the home was lovely - clean, cozy and located near lots of great attractions.

A lovely stay, had everything you could possibly need - we had two infants with us and loved the amount of space. Felt like we where out in the countryside but only 5mins from a big food shop. Lots of lovely walks nearby

A lovely quiet cottage in the country with everything I needed. It even had a little field to walk my dog. Very peaceful and easy to get to the beaches and town for a bit more action. Mary was very helpful and respectful. An all round great stay thank you.

Just stayed here and it was absolutely beautiful. Such a peaceful area, with beautiful walks near by. The house was really clean and spacious, with everything we needed to cook and enjoy a relaxing weekend. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hot tub was lovely and it’s in a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Immediate response by the hosts with any questions we had. Overall we had such a lovely time and it’s the perfect getaway to unwind from every day life. Big superstores are a close drive away and lovely local shops too. Would really recommend to anyone who’s looking to go away!

Liz was a wonderful host: we checked ourselves in (there’s a keybox but the key had been left in the door for us) and Liz knocked on the door to say hi! She was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We were so impressed with the space: it is spacious and open, very clean and has everything we needed (including a couple of games to keep us entertained). The bed is really comfy, and it was perfect to go to sleep/wake up to the skylight window above us. Easy vicinity to get to all the sights we wanted to see by car. The instructions were helpful and clear so that we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived and we got exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend!

Sarah goes above and beyond to welcome you (which included freshly baked sourdough delivered on our first morning!) and her barn is beautifully restored in a very peaceful spot - the pictures don’t do it justice! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We loved our long weekend in Apple Barn. It was absolutely what we needed after a tough year. The barn was very well equipped and there was nothing else we could wish for. We visited at the same time as storm Darragh so trips out were limited but it didn’t ruin the whole weekend. We had a lovely, warm welcome from Alan and Davinas lemon drizzle cake was a very tasty treat. Hopefully we will be back as there are lots of locations we’d still like to explore.

We had a wonderful family Christmas for 8 adults at Jacobs Barn, it is really well equipped with comfy beds and good showers. The rooms are much bigger than they look on the photos, it is really spacious accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including a double fridge freezer and double sinks. There is an en-suite bathroom, a separate family bathroom and a downstairs WC. The village is walkable and has a good shop and a couple of friendly pubs. The local area is beautiful for walking and the views are glorious. I imagine the garden would be lovely to sit in over the summer months. We were able to buy sacks of logs through Sue in advance so they were there ready for us when we arrived and the wood stove was a great addition. The barn was warm and the heating was on when we arrived. There was also a lovely Christmas tree in the lounge. We would definitely recommend Jacob’s Barn for family groups it’s superb and we would love to go back.

The house was beautiful, very peaceful location, a little off the beaten track but that is what we wanted. We love that part of Cornwall and where the house is located makes it’s very easy to visit our favourite places by car such as Padstow, Rock and Bude. We would defiantly recommend it and are looking to visit again in the spring.

We couldn't have wished for a nicer location to spend our weekend, it truly was the perfect setting to celebrate with friends. We had a gorgeous stay in Canworthy Water. Kieran's home is stunning, a wonderful space with absolutely everything you could possibly need, a real home away from home. We enjoyed preparing meals in the huge kitchen (with all the bits you could need), eating around the table and toasting to one another, lounging on the very comfortable sofas, dancing to our music through the speakers, feeling like we were in a whirlpool on a very windy evening in the hot tub, a trip out to Boscastle (the Cobweb Inn is just beautiful and cosy), and finally sleeping in the super comfortable beds. No complaints! Thank you Kieran for being so responsive before and throughout our stay, endlessly helpful and kind, it is really appreciated! We really hope to return again in the future.

5 adults and 4 children( 1x9yrs 2x 2.5 yrs and 1x 14months) enjoyed the spacious cottage for a week. Everything was as described. We loved viditing the sheep and horses. The games room was a bonuscparticularly gor the adults. A great place from which to explore the variety of things N Devon has to offer.

Me Kerry and our dog Sasha loved our couple of days at the cottage. The cottage was sparking clean very peaceful and I would definitely recommend to anyone who fancies a few quiet days away. We will both definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Sarah Adam Kerry and Sasha 🐶

Location was fantastic. Barn was clean. Really cool space, modern and great for friends gathering. Open plan space works brilliantly. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of hot water and good showers. Used as base to explore Dartmoor and Exmoor. Perfect spot. Private and quiet. Looking forward to returning with the rest of family.

A lovely little place to stay for a couple of nights - nothing really to do in the area so more for if you’re wanting to get away from it all. Very well equipped and clean. Excellent host, really friendly and great communication. Would definitely stay again if we were to travel back to the area. We were staying for a wedding at treetop escapes - very close to the venue

we had a gorgeous stay with Frances. the place is an absolute dream stay and really meant a lot to us. Perfect for exploring North Dartmoor. Very well stocked, clean, cared for and cosy. we hope to come back soon.

A wonderful retreat for those days between Christmas and the New Year. We loved our time here. The barn is wonderfully designed and thoughtfully decorated with little unexpected extras everywhere. We enjoyed the fire pit under the lean-to—what a great space! Great location too. Easy day trips to the Moor and to the south coast. Lydia was a great host!

Kylden has everything a dog lover requires. The little secure courtyard was perfect for our rescues and they loved running wild and free in the secure paddock. Such a well thought out idea. It's situated close to many amazing walks, which we have tried on previous trips- but with the weather at it's worst, we choose to tire our dogs out with some short walks nearby and good runs in the paddock before cosying up by the log burner. The perfect restful retreat.

Lovely property very spacious for our family. Very rural and quiet. The track to it has to be driven fairly slowly . Laurence was very helpful with a couple of queries we had. Would recommend for exploring the north coast of Devon.
