4 bed barn conversion - Countryside & River + pets

RachelRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We have had a fantastic stay at The Swallows. This was our first family holiday with our two daughters, their partners and our one year old Granddaughter. The location was perfect and the accommodation had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean. We loved being able to use the pizza oven for cooking and the location was perfect to visit all of our favourite haunts. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The Barn, Soussons Farm

CalvinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our accommodation in the barn - which was excellent - is situated in a working farm next to a very pretty and accessible area of woodland, where paths and bridleways converge and deer can be seen (by us twice) darting between trees and out over moorland. A walk on one of the bridleways up the valley wends to an old pub through beautiful scenery. The barn is cosy, stocked with everything you need; Steve and his family are on hand with advice and are immensely friendly when approached. The farm is situated close to Postbridge (which has a little local shop), so in central Dartmoor - a perfect spot for trips around the moor in whatever direction. But the atmosphere is one of peaceful isolation; the barn is restful, and walks can be taken in many directions from the farm at a guest's a leisure. We loved it, would thoroughly recommend it, wished we could have stayed longer, and hope to be back. Thank you Steve and family!

Cider Barn - Idyllic All-Seasons Holiday Cottage

KayeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The views from Cider Barn are so beautiful. We watched a barn owl hunting over the fields at dusk and dawn and the sound of a tawny owl whit wooing as I was going to sleep was magical! The living room / kitchen / dining is light and open plan and when I was there the sun was streaming in from sunrise to sunset. Loved watching the sunset with the owl hunting! Really enjoyed my stay here. It's an old barn - so the floor boards are a bit creaky but it is a special place.

The Cider Barn - a perfect place for two

SaliRating, 5 stars5 days ago
This is a wonderful place to stay! The accommodation was perfect and Sandra had thought of all the little extras including the best homemade biscuits! The little garden is just lovely and having the sheep, goats, pigs and chickens nearby to show to the children is such a bonus! The sense of peace and the beautiful views make this one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed :)

Beautiful Riverside Barn

Rachael LerrynRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The location is perfect and everything we needed was provided. The local pub, The Ship, was literally a 2 minute walk away, as was the local shop. The cottage was well equipped and cosy. We were lucky with the sunny warm weather, so could make use of the garden and sit outside watching the world go by. We would certainly stay there again.

The Barn

JasmineRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had such a lovely stay at the barn. The photos really don't do it justice, and I felt like we found a real steal. It was a great base for exploring Glastonbury and ham wall. The beds were comfortable and the house well equipped. We had a small issue with the WiFi and Michelle immediately responded to messages about it and sent someone over to look at it. We asked if we could check out half an hour later and Michelle kindly obliged. I really appreciated her flexibility and how seriously she takes hosting. We hope to stay again

Farm Cottage. Private Hot Tub and Garden

DavidRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely cottage and pretty country location. The garden was ideal for a dog as it was safely fenced around. My dog was incredibly happy sniffing around the area when we were outside sitting at the garden table. We didn't have time to use the Jacuzzi although it looked very inviting. Would recommend to other dog owners or walkers alike!

A peaceful rural retreat near North Devon beaches

JoshRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This is a lovely place that is exactly like the photos posted. A large space with a lovely enclosed garden that our dog loved and we didn’t worry that he could escape. The kitchen was beautiful, looked brand new and everything that we needed was there, including washing tablets for the washer/dryer. Bedroom space was very comfortable and there were even a few solid hangers available. You do need a car to get places but it is a short drive to the nearest towns and beaches where Ilfracombe and Woolacombe were our places of choice. Overall a beautiful place and if we decide to come back to the area we will most definitely look to book again!

Beautifully crafted barn conversion

BridgetRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sarah was just the best host. We had fresh baked sourdough our first morning which was so nice & a bottle of wine waiting on arrival. The place was amazing & so quiet. Truffles the family dog was a welcome visitor everyday & our 3 dogs adored him! he's very special. Location was great, we visited Bude, Tintagel, Port Isaac & Boscastle. Accommodation was fab, massive comfy beds, clean & very modern. We both loved how it had been decorated, really quirky. All in all we didn't want to leave & we miss Truffles already. Highly recommend & we'll be back x

We are very happy and pleased with our stay at Leanne’s place - 5/5. Everything was great except that some frying pans and saucepans were dirty. The house was extremely nice and cosy and we really liked it the whole family. Leanne was an excellent host and responded immediately when we had questions. She also gave us cakes and chocolate treats when we arrived, a very thoughtful gesture 🙏.

Gorgeous converted barn perfect for families

ChristineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Jacobs barn. We were Grandma with daughters and 5 grandchildren aged from 10months to 10 years. The village of nether stowey has a good grocers and a national trust property. It is a 6minute drive up into the quantocks for walks and great views. The minehead and Western super mare coast is about 45 mins drive. We visited Butlin’s on a day pass. Great fun for all ages. Jacobs barn has a good garden for children to play in. iPhone sat nav takes you directly to Jacobs barn but other sat navs seem to not recognise the post code x

We loved staying at Greenlands Barn. the cottage was beautifully laid out and was warm and comfortable, Sarah made sure we had everything we needed. We used it as a base to enjoy the local area and to go on the West Somerset Steam railway. We saw a kingfisher and enjoyed a beautiful paddle up the river in the canoe. Burleyhayes Barn - Secluded Devon Hideaway.

TimRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The place was exactly as described, very clean and the instructions were clear. We had a slight problem with the code to open the door, but Jenny immediately responded to aid us. The location is beautiful up a narrow lane, away from traffic, so very peaceful and there was enough room for our four cars. We enjoyed the outside space on the sunnier days. The facilities were perfect, all worked well, the open fire was a bonus as the weather was a little bit mixed. Note no logs are provided...so stop at local Spar to get some on your way to the house. Thanks Jenny for hosting us at your lovely barn.

Excellent host, really friendly and great communication. Would definitely stay again if we were to travel back to the area. We were staying for a wedding at treetop escapes - very close to the venue
