We had an amazing stay, the property is well situated for Lancaster and the lakes. Also by the canal and the sea. We visited a local garden centre 2mins away with a fabulous restaurant. Our stay was comfortable in a spacious accommodation, plenty of room for the six of us and could easily do 8 people. Very clean and well laid out. Host left basic kitchen needs like coffee and tea and washing up liquid and tea towels. Lovely cosy and warm place to stay would definitely recommend

Really enjoyed our stay at the bungalow. Easy to find because David sent accurate instructions. The place was lovely and clean, with comfy beds. The garden was fully secure for dogs and lots of walks from the property, with easy access to the beach. Great accommodation, and I'm sure we will return.

Lovely stay at this cottage. Beautiful peaceful courtyard with relaxing fountains which catches the sun. Played cards outside in the evening. We went with our 2 pugs and 2 teens and everyone had a great time. Dogs could go out into the yard safely and there is a lovely park over the road. Lovely lounge with room for everyone to relax and well equipped kitchen. The location- a short walk to St Anne’s pier - is great but I would agree it’s tricky to find on a first visit. Watch the bollard when parking in the space. Highly recommended.

We've just returned from a wonderful, relaxing Christmas break at Woodholm, and it was simply perfect. Linda and Paul (and pooches Midge and Tess) are fabulous hosts, extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly, and a mine of information on the local area. The house itself is furnished to a very high standard; cozy, warm and comfortable, and the kitchen equipped with everything we needed (and more) to be able to cook a full Christmas dinner. We were also thankful for the lovely treats on our arrival! There are views to the sea from almost every window, and access to the beach is just a few steps away from the house and we were able to have a lovely walk along the coast in both directions, watching the birds and taking in the views.(The lighthouse is very photogenic!). It's not often you get to find a hidden gem as good as this, and we'll definitely be back. Thankyou both so much for your kindness and hospitality, and making our Christmas a little extra special. Happy New Year!

Great location to explore the area from - we barely had to use the car as there was plenty to explore on our doorstep. The house was roomy and had incredible views! It was very warm and had everything we needed. It could definitely do with a deep clean but was clean enough for a short stay. Other than that we had a great stay!

Fantastic bungalow with the best view. Spotlessly clean, very good information regarding the bungalow and places to visit/restaurants/pubs etc. Really enjoyed our 5 day break.

An excellent choice for our all too brief stay. Very comfortable and much bigger than we expected. The photos definitely don’t do it justice. Very spacious, clean, tidy and just what you need after a day out exploring this part of the country. Superb.

Set in a quiet neighbourhood, easily found our way in to town and lots of walks near by or short drive away. Dog friendly

Lovely Old Home 10mins drive from the center or Blackburn and a Great base for exploring the Countryside. Stayed here while vising family over Christmas. The House is an older property and has a few scars and dings here n there. But in some ways that only adds to the Charm and we immediately felt at home there. Feels 'Lived in' unlike some places that are very cold and clinical. Not this place. Great Kitchen with everything you could want. Washing machine / Dryer & a Great TV. Lovely furniture, Huge comfy sofa / chairs. Great internet and amazing views. 4 mins walk to a train station which will take you almost anywhere (We went to watch a show in Manchester City Centre). Walking distance to pubs and Grocery stores. The Lady next door stopped by to say hello and was very friendly. Host (Alexandra) very responsive and helped us with a little issue we had very quickly. So glad we found this place and had a great stay. 5 stars from me ! Thank you so much!

Lovely break in a great location. Little touches like the dog blankets and biscuits were really great . Clean , warm and spacious - would highly recommend!
