Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Avalon

Lee and Nadia's house was perfect for our visit to Long Beach. We were the perfect distance from all of our activities, from the Belmont Christmas Parade less than a block away, to a short walk/drive to the beach and Marine Stadium for visiting friends and a race. The house was clean and well decorated, it was great to have off-street parking for a very crowded neighborhood, and Lee communicated regularly, was friendly, and had recs for the neighborhood. We were very comfortable in the home, and enjoyed our stay.

The place was just as described and I liked that it's close to Disneyland. They were very thoughtful by leaving free waters and snacks plus some women hygiene items if needed.

We were a group of 8 taller & clumsy men in town for the World Ultimate Championships. The house was the perfect size for our group and had comfy beds and linens waiting for us after each day of competition. The open concept shared area was great to allow for team bonding and the walkout deck was great for early morning coffees. The surrounding area was very quiet with excellent access to the ferry and the beach. Great walking loop around the island as well as biking routes and fishing areas allowed everyone the opportunity to explore and not have to deal with any vehicule traffic. The higher shower heads were definitely a hit with the guys above 6'4". We would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants to have a stress-free, comfortable experience. The hosts were excellent and very communicative. 5 stars all the way!!! Thank-you!

We have been to Susan’s place before and we will go back again! We were greeted with the most beautiful, fragrant bouquet of flowers, sitting on the table in a vase, just waiting for us. We walked to great restaurants daily and walked to the beach daily as well. The house is beautiful and was stocked with everything we needed to cook with - all the cookware and abundant spices. The shelves are loaded with books and games. I swam in the ocean almost every day - it was lovely. I had the whole Pacific to myself except for the distant kite boarders. I love Long Beach and we love Susan’s place! And I slept better there than I do at home! Still trying to figure out why the bed is so comfortable!

Jessica’s place was great. We’ve stayed there twice now. Our 3 kids slept in one room pretty comfortably. They are 5, 4, and 19 months old. I do have to say the full size bed in that room is not comfortable at all but we didn’t need it for our family to sleep in so it didn’t bother us. The other beds were very comfortable with the mattress toppers as some other reviews didn’t seem to like. The rooftop patio and the spa on the patio downstairs were great! We definitely hope to stay there again in the future!

We had a great stay and found things at the house to be as expected and very agreeable for our group. The shared spaces and kitchen are nice and open. Stephanie was very responsive and accommodating. It's incredibly convenient to the beach and food options. Overall very positive experience and stay. Thanks!

The home was exactly as listed with plenty of room and everything was very clean. The best part was the location, easy walk to the beach, Main Street, and great restaurants.

This place was everything it was promised to be. Clean, comfortable and everything we could possibly need was there. The location was great for us, so close to the beach, to restaurants and to the supermarket. Pam’s communication was always helpful. There was even a list of recommended restaurants and lots of beach toys so we never had to think long about where to go or what to do. We found a playground just a block away. Our family can only hope to come back someday!

The location was perfect for exploring the Newport Beach area. Close proximity to fabulous restaurants and shops. The unit itself was perfect for the 3 of us. Loved having multiple TV 's and sitting areas. The kitchen is well equipped , enabled us to make breakfast each day. The option to have a bathroom with a tub and one with a shower was perfect. The beds/ linens and pillows were very comfortable. Street parking was always available. We did utilize the space behind the garage on our last day to avoid the early morning Friday street sweeping.

Ron was easy to work with, super responsive and very friendly. We stay on the island regularly and we would definitely stay here again. It felt spacious for the area, updated and clean. The location is super convenient to all the island has to offer from Marine Ave to the ferry. The parking spot in the alley was wonderful to have on a busy holiday week. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and amenities in the bathrooms. Having a washer and dryer inside the home was also ideal! Thank you for a great stay!

This was our second time staying at Sharon’s place, and we hope to be back again! The location is perfect, super walkable to shops/restaurants on the main street and steps to the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this place for 4 nights and had a delightful stay. The place is in an apartment complex and looks new, spacious, and well-appointed. The host provided detailed instructions for check-in and responded promptly whenever we had needs. We did not use any community amenities like the gym and pool, but they looked well-maintained. The place is close to the The District, which has all the groceries and restaurants we needed. We recommed the place.

Enjoyed 3 nights here! The moment you walk in, there’s a nice view of the beach! Enough towels were provided for our stay (both beach and bath). Location is excellent! There are two separate showers with great water pressure. Comes with a dedicated parking spot in the garage and there is also a bigger paid parking lot close by. Unit comes with air conditioning as well. Highly recommend you stay here!

We were there to sail in a regatta at ABYC. Location looking out at Alamitos Bay was beautiful and the ability to walk to 2nd street was wonderful. Parking on the street in front was tight on the weekend days, but mostly open at night.

Great home in the heart of the Balboa Peninsula! Great access to taking a ferry over to Balboa Island for a day of fun. Great space for a family or a few friends with parking for two if needed.

My sister and I LOVED Beth’s Casita at Terranea Resort. Being able to celebrate my sister bday and relax poolside with amazing views and amenities was so worth it. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had a nice time with our family. The kitchen was nice and clean. The hot tub was great. Lots of space for parking was good. Great location, close to restaurants and coffee shops. The kids liked the playground across the street.

The Casita was beautiful and spacious with stunning views of the Pacific. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. We loved having tea and eating breakfast at the table on the veranda. The house is located in Terranea Resort which has amazing pools, restaurants and other activities. This is an exceptional place to stay and Beth made check-in easy and the whole stay flawless. 😀

We had a great time at Steven’s house in Newport Beach and spent a month there. We loved all the extras he provided, garage with door opener, hot tub, back yard, desk/chair office, great washer/dryer and AC! Felt like home for our extended vacation there. Would definitely rent here again. Everything worked great and was an easy check in/ out process. Also enjoyed all the beach equipment - made getting out to spend time on the beach a breeze!

I had an amazing experience here. The environment was peaceful, providing the perfect escape from daily life. Nice surroundings allowed for relaxation, making it an ideal getaway. The owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, went beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, providing helpful recommendations and being available whenever needed. Her hospitality truly made my stay special. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a wonderful host.
