Overall, I recommend highly.

This is an outstanding, peaceful retreat with top of the line fixtures and fittings. Melanie is very welcoming and friendly and the type of host who thinks of all the small details to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. The bedding and mattress were truly comfortable. The barn is such a beautiful, light space. We were after a quiet retreat in nature, and this was it! Horses, sheep, nesting birds on the doorstep and within very close proximity (5 minute drive) to Haslemere. We spent one day exploring in Winchester, as I'd never been - a great place! Good restaurants, cafés etc and a rich history. We will definitely come back!

We stayed for 6 nights with my daughter and grandchildren. We were lucky with the sunny weather which meant we could get out and enjoy the play area and woods outside the barn. The barn had everything we needed for a great stay and was within easy distance of Beaulieu, Paultons Park and the New Forest National park where there was lots of walking and cycling opportunities. For a family it was an ideal place to stay and Bobbie made us feel very welcome, a real home from home.

Amazing location, just a short distance from Salisbury, very peaceful location. Enjoyed seeing all the animals around the farm. Lovely view of Salisbury Cathedral.

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

My partner, our dog, and I stayed here over the weekend for a short city break from London, and we had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. Sophie is a fantastic host, friendly and accommodating! The house is set in a peaceful location, perfect for walks, and just a 30-minute stroll from the charming little town. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it!

We all had a lovely weekend stay, so peaceful and a great location, the 3 bedrooms and en-suites offer good spacious accommodation and well equipped with everything you need, loved the woodland and wildlife, good proximity to Oxford

Beautiful converted barn with stunning scenery, especially on the very sunny weekend we visited. Great location for travelling into Bourton-on-the-Water. The barn had everything we needed and Sarah was really proactive in communicating with us about directions and accessing the barn.

An absolutely beautiful stay at Deer Barn! we had the dog with us and Paula and her team truly go the extra mile, not only was there a box of treats for us on arrival but also the dog! The walks in the surrounding area were fantastic (all recommended by Cocklebury Farm). Thos property is truly spectacular and you couldn't ask for me in a weekend away in Wiltshire! Perfect location for a quiet few days. The garden had plenty of room to chase the sun throughout the afternoon and early evening and the barn provided a lot of space. All exactly as described. Recommend a walk to the Landsdowne Arms for a pint and the Nepalese Restaurant for an excellent curry. Location was just what we were looking for.

We spent a wonderful weekend in this cozy and quiet house. Every detail of the interior reflects the care and love that Shelagh puts into her home and her guests' comfort. She provided fresh homemade eggs, jam, milk, croissants and more for breakfast. She even brought flowers from her garden, which was a delightful touch. In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace; the provided firewood lasted perfectly for our two-night stay. It's advisable to arrive by car to explore the many local attractions recommended by Shelagh. We, for instance, booked a walk with alpacas, which was a unique experience. We would gladly return and hope to have more time to chat with Shelagh on our next visit. Thank you so much for this wonderful weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our staycation/weekend getaway at Mel’s place with our dog. Everything was as described in the listing and we felt at home straight away. Mel was super helpful when providing information on local walks, pubs, restaurants, shops etc. I would highly recommend Mel’s place to family and friends for a cozy and peaceful getaway, likewise would stay again if in the area. My second stay here, a beautiful cottage in a quiet village. Pub shop and cafe, all within a 3 minute walk and all excellent. Lovely bed linens and shower, perfect retreat thank you.

Me and my boyfriend LOVED our stay with Clair. She was a fabulous host with a beautiful place to stay. I think the price we paid was very fair for what we got. The view is stunning especially from the hot tub at night under the stars. The bed was so incredibly comfy and the living room felt super homely. Clair really thought of everything from the Percy pigs and matching kitchen roll to the basket of essentials! More than anything, the thing that makes the stay really is the host! Clair was super responsive on messages, welcomed us on arrival and extended our checkout until the afternoon to have a comfortable exit. I really couldn’t have asked for anything more and I would absolutely reccomend booking with Clair!

Geraldine’s place was perfect. Lovely and cozy bed was super comfy and the village had everything you need. I was actually gutted that I arrived after eating as there seems to be a lot of choice for food with the three pubs in the village. Geraldine is very friendly and unapproachable, not that I needed it but I got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. I would happily book to stay here again. I would recommend it.

Had a lovely 3 night, warm and cosy winter stay in the loft. A great location to relax, read and explore nearby villages and jump the bus into Oxford. Anna and Jonathan were great hosts, who communicated well throughout.

we had a wonderful New Year stay at this gorgeous barn. We received a very warm welcome from Jack, Hayley and Meadow and soon settled in. The accommodation was great and the surrounding area is beautiful. The barn was warm and cosy and the views from the windows were stunning. Our dogs enjoyed the walks in the surrounding fields and copse, especially the stream. We had a lovely relaxing stay and would definitely like to return.
