House vacation rentals in Volcano

My family and I greatly enjoyed our time at the house. It had ample space and beautiful surroundings outside. We felt right at home here with everything we needed to cook together each day and even fun pool toys for our days outside. We would definitely return!

Michael was an amazing host! We loved staying in his home. It was spacious, and had just wonderful vibes from the moment we arrived. Great location between Hilo and Volcano. Limited late night food options but a local restaurant with nice and welcoming locals. A nice walk to a beautiful cliff walk area. We were bummed the the pool was unavailable but Michael was great about it and credited us for the inconvenience, which we greatly appreciated. Will definitely stay again when we come back. Highly recommend staying here!

What an experience!! Amazingly beautiful location and well equipped spot! From the sound of the waves hitting the cliffs to the frogs at night. This was by far the most memorable Thanksgiving in my book. Beyond worth the stay… it’s a special spot.

This is a lovely quiet location close to Hilo and Volcano NP. We loved having the pool and the amenities of a well thought out home.

Jessica's place is located across from the ocean in a quiet neighborhood. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. We stayed for 11 days and this central location was perfect for our day trips, visiting the National Volcano Park, South Point and working our way around to Kona and across the saddle road to Mauna Kea summit and back down through Hilo. The pool was a huge plus after our days events and morning/afternoon walks in the neighborhood were very pleasant. We would definitely come back here to stay again. Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

We had a delightful stay and really savored the peaceful location. The stars were so bright every night and the sunrises were dreamy. I highly recommend walking to the viewpoint nearby it was breathtaking.

Susan’s home is simple yet comfortable. We were a party of 6, 2 couples and 2 individuals. There was plenty of space for us to gather and still have individual bedrooms and bathrooms. The views from the property were majestic!! The pool was pristine! I truly have to say we were VERY pleased!! If I were to comment about individual preferences (mine & our party’s) some of the beds/bedding were not as comfortable as others, the coffee pots were small, there isn’t a microwave or blender in the main home. We felt the kitchen was minimally equipped but has the necessities…We purchased floor fans which definitely helped to circulate the air and cool the house at night. We were also a little surprised that there were not any beach supplies for use. We purchased bag chairs and a cooler from Walmart and donated to a local friend on the island. That being said, there is no beach access but the view from the cliff is unbeatable! Would I stay again? ABSOLUTELY!!! MAHALO, Susan!!!

Completely unique home with beautiful Balinese artifacts everywhere, gorgeous wooden carved chairs, tables, oriental rugs. Incredible wall maps, prints, artwork. All in open breezy surroundings, modern fully stocked kitchen and beautiful huge swank baths (loved the Polynesian drums!). Many to omy places to stretch out or eat. Was really hard to leave it each day to visit the island’s many attractions, including a volcano eruption that happened just as we arrived! Thanks for this lovely experience.

This is a very roomy, contemporary, simple and elegant home, with very spacious lanai, walking distance to forest, bluff and beach trails, shopping and restaurants within half an hour. Aside from the occasional garden maintenance on neighbouring properties, so quiet… birds and chirping frog songs galore. We are a family of six including a baby, so the three bedrooms two bathrooms was perfect. I wanted a place to chill and to walk from to be close to beach (the surf is strong, so not a calm swim/snorkel spot, but great for splashing in the waves and hanging in a hammock) and forest, and this was perfect.

This is a beautiful property - almost a botanical garden -that is well maintained and well designed. The house is equally beautiful with floors made from rare woods. The flowers are impressive and the bird life is excellent. However, the property is a long way from the activities that we wanted to do.

We came to Big Island to enjoy calm and recharge. Eliot's place offers just like that as his house is spacious and plenty of space between properties with peaceful surroundings. because the home sits in a large ground in suburb of Hilo. Downtown Pahoa is close so you can dine out and get shopping done easily if you want. Eliot is kind and smart owner to take care of home and our needs. He was always responsive and come back with a solution for our questions.

We loved our stay at Suzy's home. It was so clean, quiet, and comfortable. There were even fresh cut flowers and orchid plants in the house. Having no AC just felt right. Also, exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the waterfalls near Hilo was easy from this location, only about 45 minutes from the park and half an hour from Hilo. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a cute gecko that resided there. We would certainly stay at Suzy's again!

Possibly the best Airbnb in the world. The pictures look great but it is even better in person. The whole place is serene. There are citrus fruits and coconuts in the garden. The birds and frogs sing to you all night long. The sunrise is incredible and can be seen so well from the balcony. Even better from the top deck. The place is extremely well stocked, great kitchen, great pantry. Overall we echo everything that has been said in previous comments. We feel so relaxed having left. We will sell everything we own to buy this place and live here forever. 10/10.

10/10 recommend. This Airbnb was dreamy and perfect for our group of four friends. Surrounded by lush rainforest. I already miss falling asleep to the sound of frogs singing! We loved the screened in kitchen and hang out space outdoors, the screened gazebo outside, and big comfortable beds. Plenty of space for a group to stretch out. There was plenty of beach and snorkel gear to borrow and Denise and Brian had the best recommendation for us to go to the hot ponds at Isaac Hale beach after spending time at Kehena black sand beach. Local and a highlight of the trip. Denise even did a couple loads of laundry for us. You'll have an amazing time, don't hesitate to book if you found this gem :)

Gabriel’s rental was spacious and clean; ocean breeze and great ventilation kept it comfortable during the entire stay. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We also very much appreciate Gabriel’s proactive communication- from sharing travel tips before the stay, to answering our questions about the rental, to coordinating an electrician to fix a minor issue while we were out exploring the island. It felt like home away from home, and we would definitely stay again the next time we visit the Big Island.

This place was perfect for us. Especially the proximity to the National Park. It was relaxing and peaceful. Jeff told us in advance we were 30 minutes away from shopping and groceries so we prepared for that. We really enjoyed our stay. Great place for the Hilo side of the island. And finally it was a real treat to see our very first lava tube. Very thorough with explanations for everything. When we return to the Big Island, we would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

What a sanctuary! We really enjoyed our stay, The place is very spacious in all rooms, but the food prep area is quite small. While it is not a full kitchen, they had everything we needed to make our delicious meals. Having the grill was a huge help. The bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend it.

Harlan & Sarah were great hosts! We had a little hiccup due to the weather, but they were very accommodating and made sure my family and I felt comfortable during the stay. House is clean and cozy and just what we needed. They were extremely easy to communicate with.

Very private cozy place to stay if you are visiting Hilo and national park Kitchen has everything you need and 2 separate beds in the bedroom makes it wonderful for a couple or families Little distant away from downtown area but it is very private

A Tropical Paradise! Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of awesome! The soothing sound of the ocean, combined with the enchanting serenade of coqui frogs at night, created a blissed atmosphere that we absolutely loved. We enjoyed delightful meals on the lanai, grilling fresh mahi mahi and marlin, which made for unforgettable dining experiences. The beds were comfy, and the house was beautifully appointed, even featuring a Scrabble game for fun evenings. Perfect place to indulge in long, relaxing baths in the deep tub and the pristine sauna was a detaching retreat. All the furniture was cozy, making us feel right at home. The location is fantastic, with a general store just 10 minutes away in Orchiland. The yard was impeccably manicured, and we enjoyed cooking and grilling in this wonderful space. Our point of contact for the property was incredibly helpful, responsive, and professional, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, this is one of our best Airbnb experiences!
