Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Ulster County

We absolutely loved our stay at The Gables! It was a classic bed and breakfast experience and we would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Rhinebeck. The Inn keepers- Pamela and John were so friendly and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed a nice evening playing cards in the common area before heading out on the town (all walking distance) for dinner and drinks. We can't wait for our next visit!

What a hidden gem in the beautiful Hudson Valley wine country- I almost want to keep it a secret so it doesn’t become too popular! Everything about our trip was great from initial outreach and questions with Victor about booking, to day of check in, and all of the tips and hospitality from Victor the owner and all staff, especially Angelo. We lucked out with good weather for most of the trip as well. We sampled an array of amazing wines at Benmarl and also participated in the Fineries at the Wineries event and was able to hop around and try other wineries as well, and then end our night with a fire in the fireplace and a few glasses of wine back in the b&b. Victor prepared an amazing cheese plate and pizza Saturday night as well - highly recommend to try the food on the weekends. We would definitely come back whether for a day trip or to stay over in the b&b again.

My only regret is that it only stayed one night. Great place, gracious host and unbeatable location.

From start to finish, we so enjoyed the Gables Inn. It is quaint and cozy with impeccable furnishings, a comfortable bed and lovely room, great coffee and pastry for breakfast and an excellent location in Rhinebeck.

Tim was a very kind, easygoing, and communicative host. The home had a ton of character and the outside spaces were so beautiful--lots of little animals running around and beautiful foliage! Loved the chill vibe of the place, the views, and the activities around the space like badminton. Definitely plan to go back!

Wonderful stay at Carol’s historic home. I loved the vintage furniture and decor. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. A great retreat after skiing and delicious breakfast. Everyone was so friendly :)

Hard to capture the spirit of the Summinski in words, you really have to experience it. Truly one of the most unique places I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting and so wildly aligned with its place. Tim is gracious, friendly and very at ease. The breakfast spread is outstanding. The view of the Catskills across the Hudson is inescapable, especially at sunset during the summer. If you’re lucky, a hootenanny might materialize on a weekend evening. You’ll no doubt find a book or piece of art that piques your curiosity, likely another guest or two as well. If you’re heading to Tivoli and really want to get a feel for the place, stay here. If, on the other hand, you’re just passing through or don’t really care all that much, stay somewhere else and let others hold the space. You’ll get as much out of this spot as you put Innski.

This is a great place to be around nature and history. If your museum buff then the history will be right up your alley and if you like a good walk or run then the Vanderbilt area will satisfy that, too.

We love going to The Journey Inn. Val and Eric are wonderful hosts and the accommodations are fantastic. The morning breakfasts are another highlight! If you are reading this review, please do yourself a favor and book!

Heidi was so incredibly kind with her daily breakfast, featuring delicious muffins and homemade lox spread, and her eagerness to help. It was so easy to reach her via text or in person. She was very communicative and made our check in super easy after a long drive up. This was the perfect place to stay for a wedding at Spillian. Quiet, close, and comfy.

Doris and John are such wonderful hosts, really enjoyed my stay. Bed is very comfortable and breakfast was amazing!

We had a wonderful stay. Sheila makes a delicious breakfast and is extremely forthcoming with great recommendations and information about the area. The room was clean and very comfortable. The hot tub was also a huge plus! An absolutely beautiful backyard with lights, flowers and a koi pond. Will definitely be coming back.

This was a wonderful stay! Frank and Jackie were lovely and our room was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, and the surrounding area had plenty to do and explore. Highly recommend!

As two introverts who often travel with our small dog, my husband and I prefer stand-alone homes when we come up to Upstate NY. However, as this time we planned our ski getaway at the last minute, and the reasonably-priced, dog-friendly stand-alone home options were limited, we decided to try to stay in one of Heidi’s rooms in her BnB after reading the stellar reviews about her place. It turned out to be the highlight of our getaway. Heidi is polite, communicative, and thoughtful. Her place feels only more neat, homey, and spacious than what shows in the photos. While she left plenty space for us fo have our privacy, she added many little personal touches to make us feel welcome. The breakfast she offered was greatly appreciated before our long ski day, and the live music event she organized on the Saturday night for her friends in the community and her guests was one of the loveliest experience we had when traveling. We will definitely stay at her place again if we are in the area.

And I loved the fire pit night too. It was so quiet and peaceful. The location was great. The Catskills are so enchanting. Thank you. We will be back in the fall! ❤️

My stay was nothing short of amazing. I felt right at home. The hosts provided more amenities than I have ever experienced in my travels. The house itself is beautiful! It has such a warm and welcoming vibe. I wanted to check in an hour early and the host was more than happy to accept. Everything was clean and well kept. I couldn’t recommend this house/host more. They are many restaurants within a 10 minute drive with endless food and activities. We were able to have the privacy in the home and head to town and experience the social aspect of the town. You must stay here!!!
