We have a lovely day at the Flip Flop Inn beach hut. It was just 2 adults but it was a lovely calming day. Would highly recommend for families as James literally has every beach amenity needed for a fun filled day at the beach. James was very contactable and responded very quickly. The location is perfect and has a lovely view of the sea when sitting outside the hut. Toilets, food and pier are so close. Would definitely use the Flip Flop Inn again. Thank you James. :-)

We well and truly banished the January blues with our stay at Sam’s lovely place. It had everything we needed, was beautifully designed and finished and the hot tub was amazing!!! With 2 dogs the location was perfect being right on the beach! We will be back!

Great house in a great location. Short walk to bakeries, restaurants and shops and a lovely stroll to the beach and pier. The house was spacious, comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed as a family of 5 with a dog. We hope to come back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage, it was so homely and great walking distance for some windy beach walks!

Wonderful place this was a pleasure to have stayed here. The Chalet inside Ruth has made, instantly makes you feel welcomed. Very homely feel - so cozy and all the space you need and more. My dog a Japanese Akita large breed was very comfortable. Big surprise was that he settled in so good and quick. In the past we struggled in a hotel rooms always and would never get settled in. Anxiety through the roof! I mean to say, if you have a dog with you, all will be well here. Warm welcome for them, dog beds in the living room and in bedrooms. Food bowls and snacks so on whatever you need it’s there. Ruth, thank you for everything. All the best to you all, and enjoy you will. Btw the beach is so close by walk up from behind the chalet couple min there’s an entrance straight to the sandy beach!

What a wonderful find! Quiet location, beach only a stones through away! Restaurants in heart of West Mersea are a 5 min drive away too! Comfortable, clean, lots of fab extras! (Milk, t-towel, sauces, tea/coffee & sugar, body wash, shampoo etc) and Jane was very friendly and proactive with any queries we had! Dog friendly too! Couldn’t fault our 3 night stay at all! Garden quite small, but very peaceful & lovely comfy furniture! Thanks Jane! Will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at the chalet and we had a great time. The chalet is extremely spacious so is great for a family get together. The facilities are great - with a projector, PS5 and Wii. Kitchen also had everything we needed to cater a full Christmas roast dinner. Host are very responsive and answer all questions quickly. Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent accommodation which was clean and nicely decorated. So useful to have an air fryer and dishwasher. Nice touch to have milk, bread and biscuits. Short walk to the beach. On site cafe served a fantastic breakfast. Looking forward to returning at Easter.

Debbie was a great host. We stayed over the holiday period and Debbie was proactive with any enquiries, and gave great details of all that was needed for checking in. The accommodation was in pristine condition, exactly like the photos and was very welcoming in a beautiful area. Highly recommend staying here.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Small Hideaway - perfect location for walks on the beach and accommodation was exactly as described and was very clean and had all the amenities you would need, and more. Highly recommend.

Amazing caravan. Had everything you could need and was very homely and comfortable. Bed was lovely. Shower was great. Can’t fault anything about our stay. We loved it and it’s literally 2 mins from the beach. Our favourite stay so far 🥰

Our stay at Amanda's place was brilliant! The chalet was very clean, especially with the bathroom and kitchen being spotless. The hosts Amanda and David kept us informed and we got all the required information in plenty of time. All the amenities worked and we were able to settle in very quickly. On arrival there was some tea, coffee and milk available to make a drink so that was a lovely touch. The only down side I would say is we found it a little chilly (even with the heaters on) but that is to do more with the season than anything that the hosts could do. I would definitely recommend for families as everything was there for all of our children (even our 3 month old) and the included amenities on the site are excellent.

We had a wonderful stay in the caravan. It was cozy and welcoming. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including games, tv, and all the dishes and appliances we could possibly need. Hazel went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed.

Natalie accommodation is so lovely, clean and comfortable. We also took our dog who loves the fact that we can just walk out of the door across to the dunes and onto the beach. A little bit of paradise in Felixstowe.

We spent 3 nights here. Accommodation was as described and had everything we needed for our stay. We cooked every evening and they had everything we needed. WiFi was a bit hit and miss but this didn't bother us as we were on holiday and enjoying a break from technology. Our daughter loved the children's room with bunkbeds, books and toys. The decor is fun and friendly. It was a great location for us, we had some brilliant days out and can highly recommend, Bewilderwood, Thrigby Hall, Horsey Gap and and a beach walk to Sea Palling. It was lovely to be so close to the beach and we loved watching the sunset whilst sat on the beach. We would highly recommend and would definitely think about coming back to stay again.

Fabulous caravan in a great location close to the sea and very quiet. Spotlessly clean, bed very comfy and absolutely everything you wanted was there. Great communication with Paul always answered very quickly. Will definitely book this caravan again when go back to Felixstowe. Close to shops and beach and lovely seeing the docks too all so close to walk too.

The chalet was really easy to find and comes with parking directly opposite the path. There is a gate that goes all the way around the chalet and locks, which meant that our dogs could be outside safely without escaping! Inside, the chalet was immaculate. It was so clean and tidy, and really beautifully decorated. The facilities are brilliant and they have everything you could possibly need. The shower was big enough to get more than one of us in which helped with having the small (and sandy) children! The bedrooms have plenty of storage space and the beds were nice and comfy. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook almost any meal! There's also a little information stand with lots of leaflets and tour guide books in as well to help you plan your stay. Kev and Karen were brilliant with communication both prior to and during our stay. We couldn't recommend the chalet enough and the hosts are so lovely. Book your stay, you won't be disappointed! We will be back :)

Beautiful spacious house; the decor is tasteful & contemporary. Lots of room for the children to run around and play, lots of games/toys for them & a piano. Space in the living room for our Christmas tree. A very well equipped kitchen, which was appreciated on Christmas Day. It was chilly upstairs at night because we couldn’t work out the heating but that’s probably us being dim. Beds are very comfy. The communal areas were cosy but there was lots of room for everyone. Lots of stairs; the basement level stairs, especially, were steep and tricky so this wouldn’t be great for people with mobility issues. Easy parking. The cleaning charge seems like a lot but it’s a massive house. We spent Christmas there and there’s no way we’d have been able to pack and be out by 10am the day after Boxing Day and leave it as clean as I usually like to. And it was pristine when we arrived. With dog walks on the beach as well, this was perfect for a big family Christmas. Great house, great host.

This hut was lovely, we felt right at home. It was 2 of us and our dog, it was the perfect size. The place was well decorated and cosy. Even though the toilet is outside, it's right behind the hut, literally a few feet away. We went during the colder months but the rooms heat up very quickly with the portable heaters. Would absolutely recommend.

The house is stunning, spacious, beautifully decorated, and with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and feel at home. The communal areas, including the kitchen, dining room, living room, games room, and snug, were perfect for everyone to relax and enjoy each other's company. We especially loved the games room with the pool table and the adjoining living room! The location is fantastic; just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the coastal views, and even enjoy a quick cold dip! The outdoor space was also a highlight, complete with a hot tub that we made use of. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and we were able to cook a delicious Christmas dinner for the group without any issues. The facilities were top-notch, and it really felt like the host thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a spacious, well-equipped home in a great location!
