Waterfront vacation rentals in Southern Maine Coast

My husband and I spent our 38th anniversary here in November. The view of Motif #1 and the harbor, from the little porch, was beautiful. We walked around the very quaint + charming Bearskin neck neighborhood. We Christmas shopped. It was very convenient to just keep going “home” to put our bags away + use the bathroom. This time of year, parking was free right across the street so that was very convenient. We could drive to dinner restaurants. There were 2 cute little breakfast restaurants a stone’s throw away on our block. The apartment had everything we needed and was the cleanest AirBnb we’ve ever visited. The double bed was small but it was comfortable. We didn’t cook but the kitchen had many useful tools in the drawers + cabinets. All in all, we loved the place and would return!

The location was fantastic! We could walk into the downtown area and to local restaurants. The view was amazing. It looks out on the bay and is across the road from the Promenade. The sunrises, while not for everyone, were beautiful. The unit had the room we needed for our son and his family to meet us in Portland for the weekend. The kitchen, while small, was quite adequate and has nice appliances. The bathrooms are spacious, with walk in showers, and were well lit. It's a great place for a stay in Portland.

Loved staying here! It's a very short walk to Kettle Cove State Park and Crescent Beach. Cape Elizabeth is a charming, quiet little town. If you're looking for a peaceful relaxing getaway spot, this is it. You'll feel right at home. Plus the hosts are very responsive and friendly. I'm already thinking about when I can return!

This was our second stay at the Cottrell House. The location can’t be beat. It’s nestled off the main street with access to the river while within easy walking to stores and restaurants. The apartment is quiet and clean. Lissette is a wonderful host.

Great clean place in Kennebunkport. Friendly, helpful and responsive host. Beautiful views of marshes with outdoor activities to enjoy! Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful studio, exactly as described. Location seemed very convenient to all. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short, so we didn't have much time to appreciate the perfect location of this place. The construction on the bridge wasn't bad at all, and actually made it feel like we were on a dead end street, no traffic to worry about, so that was nice too.

Our stay at Sabrina’s Airbnb was outstanding. The apartment was super clean, spacious, and the neighborhood was quiet. The linen was spotless, bathroom had all the essentials you could possibly need, and the kitchen was fully stocked. Our favorite part was the location. The entire weekend we stayed we didn’t use our car once. Every restaurant, coffee shop, or shops are walking distance. Only hundred of feet away.

Our stay at Hills Pond was wonderful. The weather was not on our side but we were able to make the best of it and had an incredible stay. The location couldn’t have been better and all of the amenities made it the perfect getaway spot. Highly recommend booking a stay at Shannon’s home!

Absolutely STUNNING Airbnb. Nothing was more beautiful than waking each morning and sipping my coffee to a gorgeous view of the water. The location was secluded enough that we had privacy, yet a short 5 min drive into gorgeous Freeport. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Beautiful, peaceful spot for two. Exactly as depicted. AMAZING restaurants in nearby Bridgton and Windham (understandably most of the spots in Naples were closed for the winter). Would love to return during the summer to enjoy the river and lake.

Beautiful views overlooking river and waterways, with all essential amenities on main level. Home has full set of utensils and pots/pans for cooking in modern and newly renovated kitchen. Beds and mattresses were comfortable. Responsive host. Highly recommend for a family vacation, especially if in the summer when weather is warmer. If I travel to Portsmouth area again, I would stay here again.

Absolutely lovely! A very unique space with the perfect balance of quirky retro cottage meets family lake house. We loved spending time outside whether it was on the dock and in the lake or relaxing on the screened in balcony upstairs! Would absolutely do it again!

Great spot, great host. Awesome fire pit pit on the river. Cook and dishware stocked kitchen, comfortable living and bedroom space, fun game room. Steve was responsive and cordial.

What an amazing spot! My family and I enjoyed mornings on the dock, watching spectacular sunrises and daily sightings of bald eagles. The walk down to the dock was lined nicely with stone steps and once on the dock it was hard to leave. The three kayaks allowed us to explore the coastline and although the shoreline was rocky, we enjoyed a dip in the cool September waters. The house was perfectly decorated and equipped with everything and anything needed. Lisa was great to work with, quick to answer any questions and accommodating with requests. The beds were extremely comfortable and the view of the sunrise each morning, priceless. The location was perfect, within minutes from a venue where we were attending a wedding and a few restaurants, although we hated to leave the house. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home that slept seven of us comfortably. If you're looking for a peaceful spot with stunning views, this place is perfect. We would love to visit again.

We felt completely at home in Debbi’s place in fact we both said at one point or another we could live there. House is immaculate, well appointed and cared for, amazing water front views and convenient to Bath. I expect we will be staying there again. Great response from Debbi on questions a perfect host.

The room had beautiful views of the lake as mentioned in the listing. The space was clean and nicely decorated and provided everything we needed for our short stay. The property also had other amenities for us to use such as a pool, hot tub, game room and community balcony. The location was also very good as is close to the beautiful lake and picturesque towns. Would recommend their place overall as was an enjoyable weekend stay.

The condo was cozy, clean and easy to find. Christopher was very responsive and gave very clear directions about everything! We stayed in December, so the area was quiet and easy to get around. Perfect for a weekend away!

Christina's property was a wonderful place to escape to for a few days! It is the perfect size for 1-2 people, has everything you need, and the view is unbeatable. The parking space is incredibly convenient and the location of the property provides easy access to the rest of Bearskin Neck and Rockport proper. I hope to stay here again in the future!

As a return guest we know we are able to make the most of the unique space, it's rooftop water views, and comfy amenities. If you're looking for a great location with access to all Portland has to offer than this is it. We plan to come back again and have encouraged others headed to Portland to do the same.

The property was stunning! It was so clean and homely, with everything you need and more. At this time of year it’s quiet by the beach so we made the most of the fully kitted out kitchen and made some delicious meals. We watched the sunrise from the window, it’s a direct view I’ve never had such a stunning view to wake up to!

This place is a hidden gem. The pictures don't do it justice, the views are amazing. It was clean and cozy. Diane was quick to respond to my questions. Great place for a much needed weekend away. Thank you Again
