Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Princeville

This place was great for our little family of three. We stayed for a week with our 7 year old. A short walk to an amazing beach. With plenty of sand toys, boogie boards, coolers, and chairs at the house, we had a blast. Nice little stroll to town. An easy walk to grab a quick coffee, shaved ice, or juice. Or grab a bite. There’s plenty there. Or even pickup fish from the fresh market for dinner. We cooked a lot in their well-appointed kitchen. The house itself is cozy tucked away in the local fauna with a fantastic view of the mountains. Comfortable beds and plenty of places to chill after a day out hiking, swimming, kayaking. Hanalei is the place to be. Mahalo!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful home for my immediate and extended family. Beautiful settings easily walkable neighborhood and close drive to all the beauty of Princeville. Dicle provided great recommendations beforehand. The home itself was gorgeous and well supplied. We had an issue with one of the bedroom ACs and Dicle was as responsive as possible, getting the company to fix it as soon as she could.

Remember the early days of AirBnB when you would find a well stocked kitchen filled with everything you would need to cook, prepare, store and enjoy? You know the days when a welcome basket was common, filled with a couple of local treats that made you feel you know, welcomed? When checking out didn't mean stripping sheets off beds, and basically doing a lvl of cleaning that made you resent the steep cleaning charges. When you actually felt like a welcomed guest and had an owner that took pride in their home and in their hosting? Well at Laura's place-those days are alive and well! Yes this beautiful home is expensive-there is no getting around that. And yet it felt worth it-from a garage filled with EVERYTHING you need for an epic day at the beach-and enough for our party of 7. This is a home you remember. This is a home that becomes part of your family's memories. Laura was kind, responsive, helpful. She has all those stars for a well-deserved reason.

I had an amazing experience staying at Diana’s property. From start to finish, everything was top-tier. The house was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. Diana went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Communication was seamless, and they were always available to answer questions or recommend local spots. The attention to detail in both the property and the service was remarkable. I can’t recommend this place enough. This is the place to stay if you’re looking for a cozy, stylish, and well-cared-for home with a host who genuinely cares about their guests.

This is a beautiful house in a great location. Matt communicated with us right when we booked our stay about a year in advance, a week before we arrived with detailed instructions, the day of, and during our visit. We visited with our adult children, and the home was ideal. The bedrooms are large, and each has a bathroom. The living area was large enough for all of us to gather, but we also had plenty of privacy when we chose that. I cooked a number of meals, and the kitchen was stocked with what I needed. It was an ideal location for our vacation.

Island coffee and fresh pineapple for breakfast, sunrise in the cabana and a run aling the bike path on the first morning and it only got better from there. Thanks Ellen!

Great location and beautiful setting! Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Screened in porch was amazing and offered beautiful views of the backyard!

We loved our stay here! The area is so beautiful with amazing views just around the corner, while still being quiet and peaceful. The bed is very comfortable as well. We appreciated the extra amenities like boogie boards and beach chairs and beach towels. The washer and dryer were also essential to our stay as we were out getting dirty everyday at the beach or hiking. Would stay here again and again :•)

Chris was great! He was super responsive and accurate in his descriptions. Actually, there is a even a free laundry on site that we used that made clean up after water play so easy. The very comfy studio was more than even for what we needed. We'd stay here again for sure! Thanks so much for your help Chris!

This was the perfect little space for a peaceful retreat in Kauai! The apartment was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The hosts provided beach chairs, snorkels, and other equipment, which made our days exploring the local beaches and surrounding area even more enjoyable. The location was wonderfully quiet, accompanied by birdsong, and had breathtaking views of the mountains just steps from the road. The outdoor space was another highlight, with a lovely patio and grill available for guests to use. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and fully enjoy the beauty of Kauai!

As a full time Hawaiian resident, I can't say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and just book it- we hope to be back asap!

Great location, took us two days to realize that we were walking distance from some great attractions, but we were stoked to catch the sunset and visit a local hotel for cocktails. This space was clean and had everything we needed to cook, they were quick to get us some baking sheets when we realized we didn't have any, thank you!!

Our stay in the Coco A unit at Fern Grotto Inn was one of the highlights of our Kauai vacation. Why would I state that? Well, for starters, the grounds are amazing. Paul has gardeners that are constantly upkeeping his immaculate gardens. The facilities are top notch and include use of bikes and kayaks as well as all the beach necessities. We used the kayaks and were able to start paddling literally 10 ft from where they are stored. The location is centrally located with a 45-minute drive to the north side of the island and a bit longer drive to the west side. There are plenty of activities in the immediate location but Costco/Walmart, etc are not too far away. The bed was very comfortable affording us a good night's sleep after the day's activities. The A/C works great, but we did not have to put it to use much as there were ample windows to allow good air flow. Some reviews complained about road noise or roosters crowing. We were not bothered by either. Rating it a 10/10

We enjoyed our stay very much. Peaceful location by the shore. Location is good being about halfway between the south and north shores. We stayed one week and would gladly stay here in the future to relax from winter type weather on the mainland.

Had the best time here! Nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the waves!!!! Can not wait to come back to this place!!!!

Great place! We really enjoyed the place. We watched the sunrise every morning. The only drawback was the ocean was a little rough this time of year to swim in.

Pono Kai is a great place to stay. We had a beautiful ocean front room. One bedroom with a comfy bed. Plenty of room and full size kitchen. No pull out mattress. Pono Kai staff were extremely helpful Walking distance to many places to eat. Easy check in/out

One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. The pictures don’t do the view any justice and the grounds of the condos are so peaceful. The room itself is perfect for a couple and every kitchen need is supplied if you decide to cook in for a night. The bed is comfortable, as well as the couch. They also supply you with beach accessories if needed. This place is incredible and we’ll be basing our next Kauai trip on this place’s availability! Thank y’all so much!

This unit is beautifully renovated and extremely well maintained. The view can’t be beat anywhere on the island and the location is conveniently located between the north and south shores. The walking/biking path is directly o in front of the resort and is great way to start or end the day or to use to walk to the many shops and restaurants nearby. Shirley was extremely helpful in answering any questions that we had. The kitchen is outfitted with every dish and utensil and appliance that you could ever need. We highly recommend this unit!

Excellent location on the East shore, very easy access to Hanalei Bay, Waimea Canyon, and everything in between! Spacious rooms with everything you need for cooking. Made daily use of the beach equipment, including; snorkels, beach umbrella, and chairs. Quiet neighbors, within walking distance to the Coconut Market and beach. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. In the mornings, some delivery trucks pass by. We'll plan to stay here again.

Super modern condo in Lihue! You can tell the appliances and central AC are all new and the care that Sara and Keith put into decorating the place. Super fast trip to the airport (also helicopter tours), 30min to Poipu in the south and 1 hr to Princeville in the north. You can hear the chickens in the living room in the mornings, but not really in the bedrooms, and there's a sound machine that we didn't utilize which might have helped.

Amy’s condo is in a great location with shops and restaurants, as well as beach, accessibility close by. Amy is a wonderful hostess who provided a variety of suggestions on things to do while visiting Kauai. The condo is clean and as described. Mahalo Amy for your generous hospitality!
