House vacation rentals in Portland

Stayed with my wife and 2 year old son for a full week. Wonderful location walking distance to many shops, bakeries, restaurants etc. Blackout curtains in the bedroom were helpful for our son with naps and early sunrise. Playground a 30 second walk down the street which we used often. Private parking space directly behind the home was also convenient. We thought it was great value for the location and a nice alternative to booking an apartment or larger home when we spent the majority of our trip out exploring. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience.

Christine was a wonderful host! She provided clear check-in instructions, great local recommendations, and was always quick to respond. Her place was cozy and comfortable for both of us and our two pups. It was well-equipped with everything you need to feel at home, close to everything, and included thoughtful touches like beer, water and snacks. Highly recommend!

Girlfriends week at Gwen’s was just what we needed. We had a comfortable and beautiful home to relax in and we were close to the sites and restaurants etc. We enjoyed exploring the Kennebunkport area. Gwen is quick to respond with questions. We would definitely stay there again.

Even though we only stay for one night it was amazing! Loved the spaces look and coziness, the beds where pretty comfortable we went during the winter so the bedrooms got a little chilly but nothing a Mainer isn’t used too :) we loved the couch and living room it was big enough for 8 of us to fit comfortably! The beach is walking distance we had so much fun walking the beach and then coming back and enjoying our night! Over all beautiful and comfortable satay!

The place was spacious, clean, and had ample parking. We could walk easily down town. Would highly recommend!

Booked Gregory’s place for my son’s, Ironworkers,l. They had to be in the area for a week to work on i295. The home was within perfect distance to where they were working and was super comfortable for them to come home to after a long day of construction. Area safe and conveniently located. The home was clean and exactly as Gregory listed.

Sean's place is a great place to relax and unwind, especially if you are hoping to be close to a lot of things to do but not be in a super busy part of the city. The location is ideal, and Sean kept the apartment well-stocked with cookware, clean linens, and anything else you might need. When we got some snow, Sean was very responsive and worked to help us with our needs. Definitely highly recommend!

This was one of our favorite places to stay. The house was exactly as expected and very clean, felt right at home. tmThe neighborhood was quiet. The location was centralized to all our favorite places to visit while in Maine, Freeport, Portland, and Ogunquit. The town was a quick 5 minute drive. Loved this spot.

This place was a small slice of peaceful serenity, exactly as described and pictured. It was immaculately kept, feeling brand new. The kitchen had a pleasant "pay it forward" vibe with items left by previous guests, which made it easy to contribute for future visitors. Although the house got cold on a snowy day (as others noted), one of the provided space heaters quickly warmed it to a comfortable temperature. I would definitely return for another peaceful weekend, and I imagine it would be even more amazing in the fall or summer.

This house has a beautiful location super close to the beach and a close walk to restaurants and activities. It has great views and plenty of room for a large group! Check in was super easy and they greeted us and went through everything so clearly that we knew where everything was and how to use it all - which was very helpful with such a big place with so many amenities. The hosts were communicative and helpful leading up to our stay and again with check out. The house itself is stunning with everything stocked for your stay. The only thing to be aware of is that there is a train that runs close by so definitely bring your sound machine. Would definitely rent this place again!

We had a girls weekend and this was the perfect location! We needed to disconnect from the world for a few days, this location was so peaceful and I was SO happy with the house. Absolutely gorgeous, clean, and outstanding.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are avid skiers like us. The house was perfect size for our 2 families of a total of 7 people. The fire place was easy to use and clean. The jacuzzi was big and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and plenty of towels, sheets, linens. The home is private with beautiful views of Mt Pleasant ski Area which is lit up at night. It is an hour to Mt Abram and Sunday River and Lost Valley Skiing. It is 20 minutes from Fryeburg which has a great snowmobiling rental place and 35 minutes to North Conway(more skiing and restaurants). The little town of Bridgeton has great options for dining and shopping too. We can’t wait to come back next year! Would love to make this our annual trip. The host was also very responsive and so courteous. Thank you for letting us stay at your place.

We had a wonderful stay at this home for a mother daughter weekend end of March. Great location for each of us coming from different states in New England. The home was very clean, each of us commented on how comfortable the beds were, also loved the good quality linens. The huge dining table was unique for a rental and was awesome for sharing meals and doing arts & crafts. Lots of space and seating in the living room as well. Highly recommend staying here!

My friends and I traveled to Portland, ME for a book club trip and we were so lucky to have found Marie’s house. We had an incredible stay at her peaceful home. The location was serene, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house was spotless, well-maintained and had all of the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Marie was a wonderful host, she was very attentive, left detailed instructions and recommendations. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing, worry-free getaway!

My family and I had a wonderful visit at Tall Pines. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know Tom and Judy. They were lovely people that cared about the comfort of their guests! We were greeted with fresh blueberry muffins and fruit, as well as tons of local restaurant advice. It was so fun learning the history of their special cottage and seeing the family memorabilia from several generations all over. The cottage was stocked with everything you could need (toys, beach gear, wagons, blow dryers, etc) to enjoy your stay. We loved having coffee on the screened-in porch facing the woods and enjoyed the beach (which was a short walk away)! Judy ended the stay with a special handmade surprise, which was lovely! We definitely plan to come back again in the future!

We had a wonderful girl's trip staying in Diana's house! We walked to the beach and to Scratch bakery (twice). The house was perfect for the five of us with a great sitting area to hang out and chat. The house was clean and the instructions for cleaning up were easy to follow.

Beautiful house that actually felt like a home! Randy was also very helpful and responsive. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything we needed. Great experience overall!

We had a wonderful stay at this Maine house--Barb, the property manager was incredibly responsive, helped with a heating issue while we were there and had the repairs done same day--The house was well equipped with everything you need for a family getaway at the beach! puzzles and games galore, kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for family meals (including lobster cooking essentials--bibs, crackers, steam pots) Great little fire pit out front which we enjoyed, and fenced in back yard area so pets or kids can be safely contained :) Linens, towels, all clean and provided--truly a wonderful home away from home, perfect for our family trip to the beach!

This home was more than we could have dreamed it would be! The grounds and location are wonderful! Everything was pristine, comfortable, exceptionally clean and welcoming! We would definitely go back in a heartbeat!!!

Peter is a most responsive host and puts a great effort on making his guests comfortable. This house is very clean, beautifully decorated and full of thoughtful supplies. The beds are especially comfortable with high quality linens. Peter provides detailed information about local shops, restaurants, and sightseeing opportunities. We look forward to staying at Peter's home again!
