House vacation rentals in Portland

Our family enjoyed our stay at Gregory's home. Home and amenities were as pictured and described. Space was tidy, smartly appointed, and clean. Home was close to Old Orchard Beach and we were able to walk there multiple times during our stay. The hot tub was much appreciated and we were able to relax after days filled with sight seeing and shopping. Gregory was communicative and had a response rate of approximately 12 hours. I would recommend bringing reusable bags for any shopping as it seems Maine has discontinued complimentary bags at stores.

Stayed for the weekend with my wife and inlaws had a wonderful time beautiful spacious home hot tub was amazing very clean and taken care of, Eric is an amazing host and will be definitely back here to stay again 10/10

Just about as perfect as it gets for an Air BnB. Host has thought of just about everything when it comes to accommodations. So much attention to details.

We booked the Beach Bliss House in OOB for our girls' weekend. There was more than enough room for the 8 of us to stay comfortably, and we especially loved the large kitchen/dining area. The dining table can easily seat 8-10 and it was put to good use for our meals and card games. Although we could only enjoy it for a couple of hours due to the weather, the roof top deck is amazing. The ocean view, ample seating, and hot tub are so inviting. At only 3/4 mile to the pier, you can easily walk to all the action in the center, and head back to the more peaceful location of the home when you're ready to relax. The beach is just steps away! This would be an ideal place to stay for a summer vacation. The host, Jason, was VERY responsive to any questions we had, replying to messages almost immediately. We would definitely consider staying here again and recommend to everyone.

We had a great stay at Julie’s beautiful home. Her home was even nicer than the pictures. Great kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Open layout so we can all converse no matter what we were doing. Beds were comfortable. But the outside stole the show. The upper deck was spacious and had great views. The hot tub was just what we needed. Then you walk down to the dock and there is enough space for everyone to lay out. Lots of kayaks and paddle boat. Had fun exploring and fishing the lake. Perfect home for families to come together and catch up!! Oh, and the lower level was perfect with ping pong, foosball and tv for late night fun!! Would recommend to anyone wanting to be in the lake region of NH.

What a beautiful place. Chris and Erica have done a great job. Everything we needed and more. There was a problem with the hot tub and they where able to fix the problem and had it hot and ready for us when we where ready to use it. Amazing weekend catching up with the ladies. We will definitely come again.

We rented the house for a Happy occasion, our daughter’s wedding. The space was bright, open, clean and able to accommodate the activities and relaxed, feel that we were trying to achieve. The breezes off the waterway, three blocks down and around us was easily achieved by just opening a few windows. No air conditioning needed whatsoever though each room was well appointed with same. The third floor is a magical space, though we were unable to fully utilize due to the circular staircase. Our upstairs guests measured too tall and too broad to navigate easily. Laundry room, extra pillows, and so many towels available made it easy to be comfortable We will long remember this happy home as ours during the most special time of our daughter’s wedding. We hail from New York but lived in Portland (in Rudy’s place) for those five days. Grateful. We would recommend the space to anyone who asked and would come back again. Thank you

Kevin's place worked really well for my two dogs and myself. There is a fenced in back yard. I liked the setup of the primary bedroom with the attached full bath and laundry. Comfortable bed! Very quiet neighborhood and very convenient to access other areas of Portland. I really appreciated the back deck setup. I need to find the comfy chair they have out back for my own home! Clean and usable kitchen. Nice stack of Maine materials and recommendations for local items to check out. Overall, a very pleasant stay, thank you!

This cozy yet spacious cottage by the sea was so well appointed and peaceful. We went with another couple and both of our rooms faced the sea so we all got to hear the waves when we retreated to our rooms at night. Lisa was easy to communicate with and very helpful! If we ever get back to Peaks Island….we would definitely stay here!! Thank you Lisa!

This was the best experience we’ve ever had with Airbnb. From start to finish, Christian’s communication was excellent. I honestly wish everyone were as communicative and proactive as he is. This place truly left a mark on us. Our experience was so amazing that we genuinely want to recommend it to everyone. It was impeccable full of thoughtful details. We reconnected deeply. Everything was just perfect. I didn’t want to leave. The details won me over, and the intentionality behind this place is something truly special. I’m genuinely in love with this place. 💛

If you’re looking for a place in Freeport, look no further! I cannot say enough nice things about this experience. 1. The location is literally just minutes from the outlets, restaurants, etc…BUT away from the main road so you feel a neighborhood vibe vs the down town vibe which is SO relaxing. 2. The home was immaculate. Sheets, dishes, floors, bathrooms…you name it, it was clean! We felt so comfortable letting our children play and be kids. 3. The hosts were incredibly responsive, even in the middle of the night! You can just tell they’re good people◡̈ 4. Everything was thought of, from baby shampoo, to paper towels, trash bags, kids books, even ice in the ice trays! Everything we didn’t know we needed was provided. 5. The furniture was super comfortable. Every person that stayed said their bed was amazing, even the couches felt like you could just melt into. I could keep going, but bottom line, this whole experience was 10 stars and I’d book again in a heartbeat. ♡︎

This was our fourth stay at Ralda's house. It is easily one of my favorite places to stay. The house is pristine and comfortable, and the proximity to Higgins Beach can't be beat. We're already looking forward to our next stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Ned’s house. Plenty of space, great location, and overall excellent Airbnb. We recommend Ned’s place highly!

Our son, his girlfriend, my husband and I enjoyed staying at the cottage in late October 2024. The location was quite scenic as it overlooked Casco Bay, near Portland, ME. The host made suggestions that we followed (bringing firewood & blankets). The kitchen was equipped with utensils & coffeemakers. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed walking in the local preserve along the water and took advantage of visiting the Portland Museum of Art and eating at The Honey Paw, an Asian fusion restaurant.

Stayed at Bethany's place for a long weekend at the end of the season. The location is unbeatable, the house is situated on its own little peninsula in a stunning cove; it feels very private and has amazing views of the water. There's tons of outdoor space and seating, along with several kayaks. The house itself is clean, quiet, and peaceful, although it's definitely small--probably best for one or two people, or a couple with a small child. Access is down an unpaved road but Bethany's very clear instructions made it easy to find, and she was responsive to any questions we had. Harpswell abounds with areas to hike and explore, lots of good places to eat (though you will definitely need a car) and is less than an hour from Portland and only half an hour from Freeport.

This was our second year staying at Don’s and it was great as always! Beautiful space, clean, updated, and well stocked kitchen/linens. Location to the beach can’t be beat and all the beach things you’d need are available for use. Don and Sue are both wonderful and we look forward to future stays.

Can’t say enough about how great our stay was! Andrew was incredibly responsive, let us check in early and check out late without even asking. It was a great location on the island, very walkable, even for my mother with a bad knee (she was exhausted after the first day though). Would absolutely stay again!! 10/10

House and location worked for our family who was in Portland for a graduation. Parking for 3 cars was handy. Beach super close as was Scratch Bakery (yum).

My family of four (two adults, 8 &6yo) stayed at Carol’s for a fall break visit to Portland. Carol was responsive ahead of the trip and flexible with our check-in time. She stayed in another guest house on the property. She checked on us at arrival and was friendly and respectful with every interaction. The location was perfect. Walking distance to the Eastern Prom park and other neighborhood spots. 5 mins to all other places in the East End and Old Port. Plus easy to get to places north and south. The house was just the right space for us.

We stayed at Rob and Nate's place while we visited Portland and the surrounding area over the long weekend. It was the perfect choice! They were great hosts. Their home was in a beautiful setting. From the back deck, we could look out onto beautiful gardens and a small pond. The home itself was lovely and cozy, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities we needed. It was an easy drive to Portland and Sebago Lake. We would definitely recommend staying here!

A very nice, clean and convient apartment (house) near active area of Brunswick. Peter was quick to welcome us in person after we checked in. The house was well-appinted, relatively quiet and had all the amenities we could ask for. My only (small) negative might be about the mattress. I found it very firm, like a futon. Some may find this therapeutic, but I found it difficult to sleep well on. It's only a small issue; he cannot cater to all guests' sleep habits. The location is right on a busy thoroughfare and there is a lot of traffic during the day, but at night things got pretty quiet. The house is well insulated and very little road noise is heard. Overall, this is one of the best properties in which we have stayed over the years with Air BnB. I'd return. It's a very nice place, convenient location and good value. Enjoy!
