Beautiful cottage sitting literally on the water's edge makes you feel like you're staying on a boat (minus the rocking!). On top of the world in this second level unit of a multi-unit house. Lovely views from the scenic deck over looking a working wharf on Garrison Cove and Casco Bay. The unit has 2 bedrooms (additional accommodations to sleep up to 6), one bath, and a full kitchen and breath taking sunsets Dogs allowed upon approval. Must not be big barkers and well behaved pets. We want to be courteous of all renters and their pets. Weekly rentals preferred in July and August months (Saturday - Saturday)

Irena's place was absolutely perfect for a restful getaway on the water. It was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the nature, views, and wildlife, as well as head down to the beach during low tide and rest and explore. The house had everything you could need and more. The beds were comfortable, the heating worked very well, and views were spectacular.

This Lakeside Retreat was a perfect weekend escape for two couples. In late September, we seemed to have the pond to ourselves and enjoyed sharing time around the firepit overlooking the lake. The Bathroom was spacious and one level up from the bedrooms downstairs. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare an excellent meal. I would highly recommend this cabin to a a small group of friends or family looking for a great location near Portland and Lake area attractions.Our host Bobbi was very responsive.

This was a great get away. Right on the lake with the convenience of using their kayaks, row boat, and peddleboat. Also had an array of life jackets for everyone to be safe. Scenery is beautiful, location is peaceful! We read, kayaked, played pinpong in their basement, sat around the firepit and listened to nature! The house is exactly how you see it in the pics, plus better! The home is spotless and has everything you need! Host Heidi is very responsive! They even have many board games and puzzles to play. I would highly recommend this property and plan to rent again. Thank you Heidi for sharing your home and for a lovely weekend. Jamie Hale

This is a sweet house located right at the edge of the water, and the exquisite sight of the lake in the misty sunrise met us in the morning. It felt like a piece of paradise. We hung out in the comfortable living room the first night, then slept well in the queen bed and the next day sat on the couch on the porch and watched the geese swimming by and the leaves falling and in the evening cooked a meal in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoyed it and the view. During the day our puppy gamboled happily in the large backyard. This was a beautiful, restoring weekend.

This house was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos. It was a quiet calm neighborhood overlooking the frozen pond and was very cozy. I will say our only issues with it were the fact that they stated the house would be “fully stocked” with kitchen necessities and we were pretty far from everything good to do. We weren’t expecting to have full groceries in the house or anything but the fridge and cabinets were almost completely empty except for almost finished condiments and some popcorn. Also the roads are no fault of the owners but the streets in the neighborhood have almost no street lights which made it terrifying to drive through at night. Despite those things our overall trip was great. The food in the area was great and the house was comfy and modern. I would recommend if you are comfortable driving quite a bit.

Martha’s place was AMAZING. It exceeded expectations and Martha was very helpful even from before we made reservations. This was a mother daughter weekend and the space and layout of the house was ideal. There was space for the children to have fun while the adults were catching up. Even though the snow kept us inside, there were so many games and puzzles to keep us all laughing and having fun. The location is conveniently walkable to the town. Everyone in our group of 8 (4 pre-teens and 4 adults) loved the trip and want to do it again! Thanks, Martha!

Dockside Cottage at Lookout Point

My wife Paula and I found this to be a perfect place to spend our visit to coastal Maine. We loved this was rustic and cozy cottage that was furnished with antiques and filled with perfect local decor. The view of the bay from both the inside and outside was gorgeous. Drinking coffee on the porch we were treated with the enjoyment of watching boats, and abundant wildlife. We lacked nothing as there was plenty of cups, dishes, cookware, utensils, linens, etc. We took advantage of the access to live lobsters sold from the dock down below that was an easy walk. And enjoyed watching the lobstermen work their trade. We drove across to Orr and Baileys Islands for additional shops and restaurants, but the Dolphin Marina restaurant was our favorite. All in all, this cottage exceeded our expectations, and the bar was already set high. We certainly wish to return. Many thanks to our host. Keith and Paula
