This apartment is located inside the famed Kemp House. The Kemp house, circa 1938, is a Tudor Revival home, built for T.J. Kemp an agent for the Sinclair Refining Company during the 1930s. This large residence is noteworthy for its brick detail and half-timbering. Originally a single-family residence, it eventually because a boarding house in the 50s and 60s-renting rooms weekly. Steve was a wonderful host and his place is just amazing! The area is so picturesque - gorgeous, peaceful horse farms everywhere. The apartment was immaculate and so well-appointed. Very spacious with room to unpack and truly feel right at home. I loved the double closets in the bedroom which allowed more than enough room to unpack everything and lovely spacious bathroom (double vanities) also with great closet and storage space. The kitchen was perfect, finished with everything you might need, and the living room area was comfortable, homey and nicely decorated. I really appreciated all the special touches, lighting, amenities that made it so easy to settle in. My dog and I loved walking the property and surrounding area every day. Steve was so helpful and accommodating as I extended my stay twice and he went out of his way to be helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - it's a dream spot!

We were lucky to have found William’s place for our vacation while visiting family. His rental was tastefully decorated, clean, and had all the amenities for our family of 6 (2 adults, 2 kids, 2 pups). The unit is located on the side of a home with its own fenced in yard space, picnic table, grill, and door. The rental is bigger than expected with enough space for two pull out couches in the open kitchen, living and dining area. We hosted some family here and had enough seating. The TV’s were big both in the bedroom and living room. The king size bed was comfortable. As you step out of your rental you face a beautiful park with a lake, amazing playground and tons of areas to walk or picnic. To the right is a community pool which you can pay to use. You are within walking distance from downtown Winter Garden with its restaurants, splash park, shops, farmers market, etc. William also saved our pup when I forgot to close the fence and she got out, without our knowledge.

Esteban Samuel’s home was perfect for our needs. Tidy kitchen with every appliance you needed. Even when one of the stove tops didn’t work he came the next day to fix it! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of towels and the balcony was perfect for us to enjoy breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately the community pool was not open due to a pipe burst other wise the property has a gym which we utilized.

Our stay at this delightful and extremely comfortable home was made even more pleasurable by the presence of Suzanne and Jan. They made sure we didn't just stay in 5 Star accomodation, but they made us feel like 5 Star guest. Their attention to details was impressive, nothing was overlooked, it could not feel more like a home if it were our own home. We highly recommend this Mt Dora gem, will certainly be returning. Wonderful place, amazing people. The apartment had everything we needed. My husband is a stroke surviver with a lot of mobility issues and Jo and Darrel were so accommodating for our special needs. We were here for 3 months, and I wish we didn't have to leave. This has become my new happy place. It is so peaceful and yet mere minutes away from anything you could need. Absolutely love the area and my evening walks around the neighborhood. My soul found much needed peace on the bench swing overlooking the lake. The only negative I could find (and a small one at that) is the lane is very rough to drive in, so be cautious. But honestly, it adds to the charm of the place. It became a joke for us as my hubby would overexagerate the bumps as we drove in and out. Our stay here was perfect in every way. Don't hesitate to book here. Whether it is just a week or several months. You'll love it!
