TriciaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This was our third trip out to Jon and Christina’s farm. We have brought our grandchildren each time and we always make the best memories during our stay. Such a peaceful and private place. The animals are always the highlight of our trip. The house has everything you need for a perfect stay. The beds are all comfortable and the loft area is a big hit with the kids. This is definitely the spot to unwind and relax . Jon and Christina are wonderful host. Very responsive to our questions and always make us feel right at home . We can’t wait for our next stay.

Great little piece of pleasure and affordable! John and Abbey were more than accommodating for our needs and made every attempt possible to make us feel at home! Tiki Themed Waterfront Condo on Tampa Bay

AprilRating, 5 stars5 days ago
What a wonderful experience!! This condo is even nicer than the pictures! We absolutely loved the view, loved the onsite restaurant, and loved the live music. We hung out on the balcony and enjoyed a spectacular sunset paired with fun live music from the restaurant down below. Parking was a breeze. The security guard was super nice. Pro tip : don’t park in the front of the resort - you have a long walk to the condo with your luggage if you do. Also - there are elevators in the middle of the resort. Something else we didn’t know about bc we parked in front and never noticed them. The resort is quiet, and so lively at the same time. It was so relaxing and a very much needed reset! We will absolutely be back for our next Tampa staycation.

Casa Paraiso- Pool Home with Canal Access

SeanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Very clean and comfortable bungalow with a stellar backyard area with lots of seating and places to lounge. Multiple tvs and a very fun game room, and three spacious bedrooms. Located in a great area with just two miles to Publix and other retail locations. The kitchen was fully stocked - could use a little love, as the silverware and cutlery were well used - and clean. The hosts are truly the hidden asset of this unit. Upon arrival, we learned that the previous tenant had broke the coffee pot. We asked Lorena about this on arrival and had a new coffee pot delivered in 90 minutes! Never had faster responses to any requests, and it was all positive. Very impressed and would stay again.

Lakefront Farm Tiny Home

WendyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My friend and I both had lake homes in the past and both wanted to try staying in a tiny house. It was a fun two nights. Beautiful lake and very nice donkeys. My little dog Elli was timid and didn't know what to make of them. We had a few laughs over that because Elli kept checking to make sure they were not following us back to the nice safe screened porch. Area just opened a new organic Sprouts grocery store which is wonderful. Wish we had one in Palm Coast. A very cute little place .

Tiny House/Glamping/Camping Tent & Garden Retreat

ReneeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The glamping tent was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. Living in Florida the past few years, we were looking for something different to do but also fairly close to home ( about 2.5 hours a way). The location was beautiful, peaceful, and cozy. Dawn was great with prompt responses and recommendations. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed the catch and release pond and walking around the garden. Thank you Dawn for a great weekend away and for your hospitality!

This place was so cozy and beautiful! It was more than what I expected. It's a private location surrounded by nature, with EVERYTHING that you will need, trust me! Jairo's place was exactly as described/pictured. The space was super clean and conveniently close to Busch Gardens. It is located in a quiet community and we enjoyed the walks by the lake with our dogs. We would definitely recommend this rental to anyone visiting the parks, USF or just looking to stay in the area. The property was stocked with essentials (i.e. toiletries, coffee) which we really appreciated.

Tree House Treasure

HeatherRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This Treehouse oasis was an absolute delight tucked away from the hustle and bustle! Having a quiet home with a full kitchen as opposed to a hotel room sold us, but having a canal leading to Lake Tarpon, kayaks, super comfortable platform king bed, peaceful neighborhood full of native critters and foliage, and walking distance to Anderson Park were all icing on the cake! We hope to be able to return in the future. Thank you, Nancy❤️

Your guide to Tampa

Introduction

Tampa blends the bustle of a commercial hub with the subtropical charms of a winter resort. The city is the Tampa Bay Area’s cultural center as well, with a buzzy restaurant scene, art museums, and theaters. As you’d expect, given the winter and spring tourism, activities for visitors with relaxation on the brain are plentiful. But Tampa is a locals’ town, too, as you’ll discover by meandering around the hip neighborhoods of Seminole and Hyde Park or joining the joggers on the 2.6-mile Riverwalk, which cuts through the heart of town. Many visitors spend at least one day beach-hopping on the Gulf Coast, migrating from Clearwater Beach to Indian Rocks Beach and Treasure Island.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Tampa

Although locals may sense more subtle shifts in the weather, there are two major seasons in Tampa: a hot, rainy summer and a perfectly pleasant fall, winter, and spring. From June to October, the temperatures peak in the 90s Fahrenheit during the day and cool to the 70s at night, which isn’t very cool at all. Thunderstorms are frequent, tropical storms regularly pass through the area, and the humidity skyrockets.

From November through May, the heat settles down into more comfortable ranges — 60s and 70s Fahrenheit — and the rains come infrequently. You’ll want to pack a light jacket for the evenings, and perhaps a few sweaters in case December and January see one of their occasional cold snaps, but there’s a reason many people book vacation rentals for the winter here.

Top things to do in Tampa

Ybor City

A historic Cuban American enclave that is now the center of LGBTQ+ life in Tampa, Ybor City blends the old and the new in colorful and charming ways. You can take a cigar tour to learn more about the neighborhood’s best-known industry, eat at least one of the Cuban sandwiches that may have originated here (Miami begs to differ, naturally), and explore the area’s abundant nightlife.

Clearwater Beach

Just 35 minutes west of Tampa, you’ll find a chain of slender barrier islands and some of the Gulf of Mexico’s most stunning beaches. Clearwater Beach offers the white sands and warm waters you’d hope for, along with restaurants, bars, and tourist services. Just north of Clearwater is the undeveloped Caladesi Island State Park, where you can steer a kayak through the mangroves or wander along nature trails.

Florida Museum of the Photographic Arts

One of the state’s cultural capitals, Tampa does not lack for great museums, including the Tampa Museum of Art and the Tampa Contemporary Art Museum. The Florida Museum of the Photographic Arts occupies two floors of the building known as the Cube, a work of art in and of itself. Its permanent collection and temporary exhibits shine a light on photographers of the last five decades, from the internationally known to up-and-coming local artists.
