Hut vacation rentals in North Devon District

I have so many great things to say, so to keep it short I'll bullet point. - Great location/community - Private - Friendly and responsive hosts - Clear instructions and tour - Clean and comfortable - Felt very welcomed - Also a bonus of a cat that sounds like a sheep :) Planning to go again, later this year. Would highly recommend

Fabulous hut in a glorious location. It has everything we needed and was beautifully clean. The host was extremely helpful and answered so quickly any questions. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Absolutely incredible place. Very peaceful and scenic and provided with everything we could have needed. Wonderful hosts, would love to stay again.

Last minute Valentine get away with our two dogs. Despite pretty grim weather, you couldn't have wished to be anywhere cosier. Surprisingly spacious and everything you could think of, provided for a weekend away. Basic breakfast foods provided and of course Juliet's famous delicious short bread and doggie welcome treats.Private garden space adjoining a wood and secure field. Dogs roamed and played freely and safety. Bring lots of dog towels if you expect rain. Lovely shower in the cabin. Very well designed compost in a separate cabin. We kept close for dog exercise but there seems plenty of options for walking.. especially to pub...It's between 40 to 50 minute walk away. So many birds. We had such a lovely stay in the Shepherd's hut! so peaceful! The outside bath was a real treat as well as the yummy fruitcake waiting for us when we arrived. Bed was super comfy. We were sad to leave. Thank you Be and Richard.

Beautiful hut! It was my partner’s birthday and Lucy kindly stuck up a banner without me even asking. Attention to detail in the hut is evident. Very clean and an amazing amount of goodies on arrival. Would stay again!

We had a fantastic stay at Tracy’s hut. It was super clean and tidy and the hamper was a great touch. It was great added bonus that you could feed the goats who were super cute. Tracy was a great host and super friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will hopefully be back to visit soon!

We stayed in Owl hut 2 with our dog Suki. The place was absolutely beautiful, the decor and little touches had been thought out so well; complimentary breakfast goods, any warm beverage you could wish for, pillow spray, luxury shower products and toiletries, even little shower caps if needed. The towels were also very soft and luxurious. There were dog treats, poo bags, feeding bowl and a cozy soft little towel for her muddy paws. The natural surroundings are just perfect for an escape back to nature. The outdoor chairs were dressed with soft cozy blankets and cushions, that looked so welcoming. We enjoyed a fire looking at the stars and relaxed with some wine chatting in comfort. The hut was warm and cozy, I’d brought extra blankets, but they weren’t needed as it retained heat really well. I would absolutely recommend this place as a place for sanctuary and relaxation. It’s worth every penny and provides what I would consider, a luxury retreat.

Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable! Kate has thought of so many details to ensure we had everything we needed. The hut was warm and cozy, equipped with a mini fridge, oven, and kitchen utensils. The hot tub takes about three hours to heat up in February, but it is definitely worth it once you're inside! 🫧🛀🏻 The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful, and calm. We could see plenty of stars and hear birds in the distance. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back!

Jenny was a great host! The Cabin was spotless on arrival! Very cosy and well equipped... As previous guests had noted the bed is super comfy!! The outside area for dogs is brilliant. Definitely recommend the Culm Valley Inn! Fantastic atmosphere - delicious home cooked food - 15 min walk. Strand Stores serve an incredible breakfast and sell high quality local produce! We also enjoyed a nice day out at Sidmouth beach..

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The shepherds hut was great, especially with all the added extras of the hot tub and pizza oven (highly recommend getting the pizza hamper). The attention to detail throughout the place is so lovely and made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend to everyone and will stay again!

Stunning views with a beautiful and very clean Shepard’s hut with everything you’d need, lovely hot tub which came with good instructions, Nicola was also very helpful and responded quickly if we asked something. It’s in a great area, close enough to walk to places but also private and out the way, we loved our weekend here and will be returning in the future , thank you!

Diddylake shepherd huts are totally idyllic. We went for a mid winter minimoon and Jackson left us a congratulatory bottle of fizz and a lovely card to welcome us. His mum dropped by with more wood for the burner and it was generally a wonderful stay. Very cosy even with a storm raging outside. Bring earplugs as rain on the tin roof can be noisy but otherwise picture perfect. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely few days away over NYE, the accommodation is lovely and has everything you need, the grounds are kept very well, with lovely views over nearby farm land.

A very nice clean and tidy hut in Chris' sunny garden. Great location with easy access to town and to the walk around the top of Cheddar Gorge. Enjoyed falling asleep with the warmth and glow from the lovely little woodburner, and waking to a blackbird singing on the garden wall. Excellent fish and chip shop a short walk away (Tuckers, Chris's helpful recommendation).

We loved our stay at the Shepherds Hut, the surroundings were so peaceful, tranquil and beautiful. Feeding the fish was so fun! Highly recommend for a getaway.

Had an amazing time at Rosa and Marks Shepherds hut. They were amazing hosts and so welcoming and lovely and their dog Daisy was very friendly and got on well with ours. The Shepherds hut is fully kitted out and was everything we wanted. We couldnt have asked for a more magical stay and one we wont forget ! Cant wait to come back and stay again!

very lovely space was great to get away with only the birds and very occasional farm animal to listen to. the roads are slightly testing but the locals are used to it. as for the accommodation it's cosy and has everything you need. we would choose this again next time definitely.
