Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nicoya Peninsula

We had a great stay at Casa Gisela. The house and the community are very charming and a little like stepping back in time. We appreciated the recommendations in the house book and found the location convenient to La Fortuna and Rio Celeste (about 75 mins each way) and only a few minutes from the small town of Nuevo Arenal. Would recommend!

Incredible home! The house is beautifully decorated with wonderful artwork The view from every room is delightful. Kitchen is very well supplied. Pool is perfect for swimming or hanging out. Manager Stevie is great - responding quickly to our every need and offering very helpful guidance for activities in the area. We enjoyed visits from the coatis and the monkeys. We had a very fun stay.

Absolutely beautiful. Loved the well thought out design of the house. Stunning views from every room! We saw tons of Toucan's and other birds, an anteater, and a few monkeys. Great hike to the waterfall...really appreciated the high water boots and walking sticks provided! We rafted and ziplined while staying in El Castillo---so fun! Have to have a 4 x 4.

It was a magical place with stunning views and beautiful finishes. It was not an easy road to drive, especially at night, nor was it super close to things. However it was a perfect start to our trip to feel pampered and immersed in the cloud forest. It was exactly as advertised and Jessy made us feel welcome and even had a thoughtful gift basket and wine available to buy. We all enjoyed the hot tub, net and multiple comfortable seating areas.

This house is amazing- a true gem. The location is pure magic, spectacular ocean view, infinity pool, great house, very confortable deck and the open kitchen is the cherry on top. The magic comes in so many layers: Sunrise - crispy clear air Daytime - sunny but not over the top hot. The house is located in a place where the breeze cools it down. Working on the deck took zoom calls to another level Sunset - pure magic from the deck. The colors are incredible and the crickets join in once the sun goes down. Night - enjoy the milky way from the roof. What a sight. Sleepy time - the house sits on top of a hill, but the valley echos the waves from the beach. Its like you're front row to the waves. This is such a great house and Gil is an incredible host! I'll be back

We had a lovely time at Casa Mariposa - the house is located in a very tranquil area just a short drive away from La Fortuna (if you have a car, very much worth it!). Everything was impeccable when we checked-in and the house was very well furnished with all kind of electrodomestics in case you are planning on cooking there: air fryer, blender, rice cooker, toaster... between others. The outdoor area was lovely to have and so peaceful. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to spot the Arenal volcano; we could not see it during our stay as too cloudy, but I guess this is the perfect excuse to come back ;)

This home is beautiful and the location on the beach is amazing. There was a learning curve to get the air conditioning working properly which was likely user error on our part. Bring a soft cooler to carry cold beverages down to the beach so you dont need to run up and down the stairs.. Despite the minor criticisms above i would highly recommend this place. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

The views from this apartment are beautiful! The apartment itself was very clean. We were only here one night but wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and walks around the property.

Teako House was a really great stay, incredible value for the money, and a truly local experience in a real tico neighborhood that is located in a lush peaceful valley. The apartment was simple but surprisingly spacious and upgrades have been made since these pictures so I found things a bit more spruced up than I expected! From the little terrace you can see the surrounding teak farm and watch the clouds roll by (literally, you're in a cloud forest sometimes!). And the host Juan Carlos is a super nice local surfer and business owner who is stoked to offer up recommendations, etc. if you want them. I had to get some work done during my stay so I particularly appreciated the fast wifi and gorgeous relaxing nature view from the dining table that I used as my desk.

This condo is in the most beautiful location, perfect view of the volcano from the balcony!! The space was clean and comfortable beds and furniture. Fully equipped kitchen, big bathroom with large jet tub, and in suite washer and dryer. The host had great communication. Responded quickly late in the evening to our booking request to let us stay in his beautiful place, saving us from the original nightmare Airbnb be booked for that night! I can’t thank the host enough for the responsiveness and the truly wonderful condo right on Lake Arenal!! P.S. Completely ignore the person that left the low rating review about this place. The person should be ashamed to leave a low review for such an incredible place!

We had an excellent stay here while in Monteverde. The views were unbeatable, and everything in the unit itself well maintained! Yami was an excellent host, very responsive and always ready to give recommendations. It was a very tranquil getaway, would certainly come back!

Sergio's place was magical, surrounded by nature, and wild life. Very peaceful and beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay.

Wow what a beautiful home! We worked from here for half a week with a view of the lake, visits from an array of bird species and within a few minutes from many restaurants. Danielle was super helpful, she sent us a great list of recommendations for the area, making our trip even better. The internet was speedy fast. The home has routers in different rooms so no delay at all. I loved all the sunshine of the place and the artistic architecture of the house. Comfortable beds, coffee maker, and stocked kitchen appliances. Nuevo Arenal is a local town with a lot of charm. We had great a meals, sunsets, walks and even saw some live music. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great home base to explore the lake!

We enjoy a lot to spend holidays in this place, is peaceful, beautiful and confortable, I really recommend Villa Corazon. Looking forward to come back soon.

We really enjoyed our stay. Having access to the beach club was a big bonus. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, paricularily Mario, Maria and Freddy.

Best place I have ever stayed and I travel a lot. I’ve never stayed somewhere that was so clean and clutter free it honestly looked like no one had ever stayed there and it was brand new. Esteban was able to answer any question that we threw his way, and I asked for a lot of recommendations. The second night there it was arranged for masseuse‘s to drive up and we had a couples massage on the balcony by Moonlight .To describe the location as peaceful, cannot be more true. The landscaping was exquisite with something that you’d find at the Ritz Carlton in Maui only all to yourself! I thoroughly enjoyed the freshly ground coffee every morning with a yoga mat that was provided out on the balcony. The birds were beautiful and you won’t believe what the shower and tub look like. I love that the majority of the place was glass feeling like you were outside all the time. I’ll be back many times over. I hope to visit several times a year!!! Pura Vida

To say that Casa de Roja was magical is an understatement. Truly a unique experience with beautiful surroundings and your own private paradise. It was not easy to find, and you will need a car that can handle bumpy roads, but they were in constant communication with me to make sure I found it okay and at the door to greet me when I arrived. I'm not exactly an outdoorsy girl - but I found the outdoor kitchen and bathroom really unique and fun and it was great to have the bedroom fully enclosed with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. There are a lot of bugs, grasshoppers etc, so just be in the mindset of that being a part of the outdoor experience. Great experience, great hosts and a must do if you are in Marbella!

This place is amazing. Both of the master suites are large and beautiful, with awesome showers and views. The house is so much more than the photos show. The view of the ocean is great, the pool was perfect. The maid came every three days and cleaned to perfection. Steven was incredibly responsive to anything we needed. We were very late getting there so he made sure there were snacks and drinks awaiting us when we arrived. We tried to get out of bed every morning at sunrise to listen to the chorus of birds and howler monkeys each morning. The pool was always exceptionally clean, and the temperature was perfect. There were loads of beach towels and a huge selection of chairs, couches, and lounges with places to sit and enjoy the pool and view any time of the day. The kitchen was stocked with every possible appliance and utensil. There were enough dishes and glassware for a large party. We would have stayed another week if it wasn't already booked.
