Cabin vacation rentals in Nicoya Peninsula

Well furnished, private, quiet, exactly what is described and pictured. Loved the outdoor tub. Extremely clean so we didn’t hesitate to enjoy each night we stayed. We would’ve liked to stay longer! There’s a patio, balcony, big windows, fans, AC, and double sliding doors upstairs. Only slight negative was location. It being past Monterrey town center, it was a bit farther away from La Fortuna than expected. But after each day of hiking in the rain it was sooo nice to come back to a quiet home for two. We didn’t visit the main clubhouse with the pool or heart however. We enjoyed our area too much to leave.

A beautiful, safe, spacious and cozy cabin on the outskirts of Fortuna (10 min by car) The environment is spectacular, many birds of all kinds, vegetation, peace... The quality - price ratio is excellent! I'll be back!

Host Tati has great communication and was very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. She recommended places to visit, which was very helpful. The casita was very clean and relaxing. This place is perfect if you're looking to unwind—it's very private yet close to downtown, shops, and restaurants. I would definitely book this place again! Do not forget to visit Cerro Azul restaurant for great food, friendly staff, and beautiful walk to the river.

Erick’s place was by far the best Airbnb my husband and I had ever stayed in. I cant recommend it enough. It’s somehow even more beautiful in person than in the photos, and so peaceful and serene. All you hear from the house is the sound of nature and the breeze. At night we could see the beautiful stars from our bed, and each morning we were greeted with an incredible rainbow right outside our deck. It was truly magical. I was worried about there being lots of bugs but it was remarkably bug-free! We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful location. Walking trail with lots of wildlife. secluded and private. Cottage was new with amenities as promised.

Really nice cabin with private hot tub. Joselyn prepared also some fresh fruits, so we felt really welcomed. If you want to stay close to La Fortuna but with more privacy and less touristic atmosphere, I would recommend here place.

We travel a lot and I have o say that Mauricio’s cabin the forest has been my favorite. It was cozy and relaxing with a beautiful hammock by the rushing water and a gorgeous pool that you could heat. The sounds of nature were everywhere and you were close to all of Lafortuna but felt like you were all alone. Mauricio was a wonderful host and even helped us pull our car out of the mud we got stuck in. He was responsive, his place has everything you need and is beautiful. I would 100% go back again and highly recommend it to everyone visiting Lafortuna!

This place is absolutely incredible! The natural surroundings make you feel like you’ve stepped into paradise. The food was fantastic (it’s not included, but you can order separately), and it was worth every bite. If you’re looking for a spot to disconnect, unwind, and escape the chaos of the modern world, this is the perfect retreat. Highly recommend for anyone in need of relaxation and serenity!

The place was peaceful, had lots of great walking trails with great birds, frogs and cool bugs. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook at home. The garden and pool area was very clean. The pool is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Jennifer's place is spectacular!!! Located in a very quiet and safe area, we were able to fully enjoy the beach, the garden and the terrace. We take a tour in the evening to experience bioluminescence just 5 minutes from the house with a local expert... Justin. These are the kind of totally enriching experiences that are off the beaten path. A place close to San Jose where we combine a short drive with the Tambor ferry. It's final... we loved it.

Unique treehouse stay nestled in the woods, but still very close to downtown La Fortuna; we were able to walk to shops and restaurants every night!

This is a beautiful space! The accommodations are clean and beautiful, the property is gorgeous! Achiles was onsite during our stay to ensure we had what we needed (not really necessary as the set up is great). You gotta see the blue-eyed goose :) I’ve stayed in a dozen airbnbs in CR and I highly recommend this place!

Incredible hidden gem! Walking around Costa Rica can be a challenge, but this gorgeous little sanctuary is perfectly located at the edge of town where you can walk both in and out of town to find food, amenities, sunsets, and local culture. Highly recommended.

We had an incredible stay! The cabin was so well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We thought it would be fully isolated but there are two other cabins around, however they are far enough that you get enough privacy! Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Our host, Sandra was so attentive and kind to us! Any time we had a question, all we had to do was text the chat and she would respond immediately and then walk over to help us with whatever we needed. It was worth it for us and we are thankful for the experience :)

Christina and Eric's place was the perfect way to start our two week vacation in Costa Rica! Christina has a vast knowledge of activities to do in Moneteverde and was able to book everything we wanted to do; we would just tell her what we wanted to do the next day and she would set it up and transportation would pick us up and drop us off after the activity! We didn't have a car so this was very convenient for us. The breakfast she cooked every day was unforgettable! She would cook and Eric would deliver it to the cottage as early at 630am. Their place was quiet and peaceful. Definitely off the beaten path. The road it's on is unpaved and very hilly but safe for walking with a beautiful view a little ways down the road. We felt very safe here and would walk just 10 minutes to a nearby hotel/restaurant that had great food and service (Selina) The cottage was very clean and we felt right at home. I would love to visit again.

Diego is a lovely person and a super host! He reached out to us in advance with very helpful info and the evening we arrived he went out of his way to help us book a bird watching tour for very early the next morning. He suggested great places to eat (we tried and enjoyed all of them), and was very responsive and kind to us when we had a minor issue which he came over to fix immediately. The space was comfortable and spotless and we had everything we could have needed. The outdoor shower was the best! We saw so much wildlife right from the back porch....toucans, hummingbirds, an iguana... very relaxing and just what we were hoping for. While not in town, it's an easy drive in and parking in town is not difficult. We thorougly enjoyed our stay and meeting Diego, and will come back if we are ever in La Fortuna again.

We stayed one night and was just perfect! The location is great!

Tonys place was a great start to our first trip to Costa Rica. We went to sleep to the sounds of the jungle and woke up to howler monkeys in the trees above. A real oasis and easily accessible off the main road. Tony was a friendly and welcoming host !

This was a fun place to stay, very close to town and all the activities monteverde has to offer. But David has also set up quite an impressive place to see the local birds by leaving fruit out for them. He is quite a knowledgeable guide to the different bird species and also very helpful with local recommendations.
