Cottage vacation rentals in Manzanita

This was our second stay. The new fence makes the yard private and completely escape proof! The house has at-home vibes...hard to describe how cozy and welcoming it feels. The holiday weekend created a lot of traffic and it was busy outside, so it was nice to have a comfy refuge to retreat to. The upstairs bedroom is absolutely adorable. Nice touches throughout- beautiful bedding, good-smelling soap, fully stocked kitchen. Kelli is so friendly, approachable and helpful- a pleasure to interact with. We're already thinking about when we'll get to go again!

We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving week! The home was beautiful and private and it was nice listening to the waves at night from the back porch. We really enjoyed our stay!

This place is fantastic! We stayed here for a friend’s 50th birthday and we had an absolutely incredible time. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were plenty of blankets, towels, and overall every little thing we needed and could have wanted for a cozy stay. The fireplace was incredible after cold days walking on the beach! The hosts were incredible - super responsive and accommodating. Thank you!

Carol was a fantastic host, responsive and checked in to make sure everything was ok. Cute and cozy cabin with a big hot tub! She provides a book with helpful local resources such as beaches, restaurants, stores and shops, along with sharing the history of this sweet cabin built in 1971. It was a very short walk to the expansive beach, local pub and food market. We stayed in December which was quiet and not crowded, even had some sunny days! Lots to explore without a car but also not a far drive to many other beaches and small towns to explore as well. We had a most relaxing and lovely stay and would highly recommend Carol’s cabin for your next beach getaway!!

Home is exactly as described down to the gentle rocking. Hot tub offers privacy and stunning views. Home cooks may want to bring their own pots and pans. We only slept in the queen bed but the full and bunks looked cozy. We'll be back again!

Three of us were there for 6 days and one was able to join for 2 days. Everyone of us loved the place! It was so tastefully decorated and very well stocked. Every time we had a question about something we got a friendly and helpful response. The gardens and landscaping were so beautiful and pleasing. It was peaceful and we all agreed that it was our favorite beach place ever.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. Location was great and Jana was a great communicator. Everything was just as described. We brought our dogs and they loved the deck! Thanks for allowing us to stay at your great place!

Wonderful little place, but plenty of room for 4 and a dog. We even got visited by a family of deer (two fawns). I didn’t see the book of instructions for what we needed to do before we check out, so we ended up leaving a few pans that were to hot to clean (bacon grease).

What a fabulous place to relax! The view, the private beach, the comfortable bed, wonderful lounging furniture on the deck, comfortable recliner to watch TV… everything was great! The refrigerator is a little noisy when it runs, the linoleum in the kitchen could be replaced, and thankfully my husband doesn’t mind washing dishes, but those things didn’t affect our stay. I can’t wait to return!

We stayed here last year, had to come back for another awesome stay at the Scottage! Easy walk to the beach was able to catch a few sunsets/sunrises. Close to everything. Cozy when the fireplace is turned on.

Great peaceful place with a very helpful and responsive host perfect for our family of 4 and our dog. Over the top dog friendly! Our 4 year old daughter loved playing dress up. So close to the beach, but you have to walk further away from it before you can walk to it. Not a big deal and was clear about that in the description.

Very cozy and sweet home. Love being on the beach. Perfect location to places in the north and south of Rockaway Beach. No crowds in November!

This is a gem! We loved the view of the Ocean from the upstairs. You can sleep in the bedroom upstairs and see the stars when laying in bed at night. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were fully stocked. Fully equipped kitchen all you need is there. Loved how clean the house was. It has a fenced in yard for the dogs. It has no service in the area there but internet is top notch and WiFi calling is a breeze so it’s no big deal! We had no issues texting or calling out on WiFi. There is a landline too if you need it but our cell phones were all we needed. If you book here you won’t be disappointed. We booked for 6 people but it only ended up being me and my husband and my father in law 2 of the nights. It would be great for a big family. We were bummed that the others didn’t make it or stay there but their loss. I felt comfortable and enjoyed the house completely. House is short walking distance to Oceanside. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here!

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood at the very edge of the foothills, the periwinkle cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with laundry and outdoor grilling options. Beach access within easy walking distance. In addition, dog owners will feel very welcome with many thoughtful items including bowls, bags and towels. We really appreciated the vegan dining options available, also within easy walking distance!

Great spot near the center of town and the beach. Loved the location. Beautiful backyard hangout area. The house worked great for our family.

We had a great time at this Rockaway Beach house. We really enjoyed being able to have our dogs with us. The house was clean and was well stocked for activities at the house and the beach. We will definitely look to rent this house again when we return to Rockaway Beach.

Porcupine Cottage is delightful! A little bit of a drive, but really not bad, especially because you get away from all the hubbub in town and kick off your shoes on the deck, surrounded by gardens, forests and serenity. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! Would definitely go back.

This place was amazing. We were greeted immediately and provided all the amenities for our stay. The house itself is small and incredibly cozy! There were some food and beers in the fridge. Perfect for our 2 day fishing excursion. They also allowed us to keep our belongings in the house on the day of checkout so that we could fish throughout the day- incredibly nice! This place exceeded all expectations! Will come back!

Such a cute little get away!!! The hot tub was definitely the highlight feature for Us and there is a fabulous Thai restaurant about a 3 minute drive. Loved that we had some rainy weather to feel the coziness of the space. Hosts were fantastic with their communication

This was honestly a perfect experience for us and exactly what we wanted for a Thanksgiving trip to the beach. Cozy, amazing views, had everything we needed to make ourselves a little feast and just enjoy some holiday downtime as a family! We’d love to come back!
