Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Kailua-Kona

We will rent this home again if we are back to the Big Island! We really enjoyed the different spaces. The interior was open concept and a great gathering space. The lanai porch was peaceful and very pleasant mornings and evenings. The outdoor shower and hot tub was a great space for small groups to gather.

I enjoyed staying here. The airbnb itself was very nice, spacious bedrooms, very cute decor, modern, and nicely stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed. The area was fine. It was always a 20-30 min drive to most things and you can't walk the airbnb too much. Also note that since this is in the mountains, it's cooler and rains a bit more.

We had a wonderful stay in this very private secluded location with great views and sunsets. It was peaceful yet within 15 min of town and activities. We spent a good amount of our time on the covered porch-such a delight to hear the birds, frogs and feel the cool breeze- it was always about 10 degrees cooler than town. Only caution is to make sure stove fan is on before cooking, the smoke alarm is very sensitive. Overall a great place and would definitely stay again.

This was our third time back and Laura’s place is beginning to feel like our home away from home! It is cooler than downtown making it feel perfect outside and in. The view is lovely as well. There was plenty of room for my 4 adult sons to spread out and stay content. I would definitely come back!

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at Barry’s Airbnb! Barry was super kind and friendly, and very supportive. The house was exactly as described, beautiful! No regrets, we’d 100% do it again.

We had a wonderful stay at Nicki’s Airbnb in Kona! The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and do, yet peaceful enough to truly relax. The views were absolutely stunning, making it a great spot to unwind in the mornings and evenings. The home was spotless upon arrival, and it was clear that cleanliness is a priority. Nicki was a very responsive and helpful host, making check-in and communication smooth and easy. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely book again!

This place with Ragnhild as a super host was beyond exceptional! The place was in a beautiful spot, the view was amazing, the place was very clean and a of things that were needed were there, like for example bathroom spray, laundry pods, snorkeling equipment, coolers, shampoo, etc. That is a superhost for you in Ragnhild! She was very responsive to my questions too in a prompt manner! This place was well worth the money, they say you get what you pay for, and we sure got a great deal on this beautiful place! I loved the Lania, the jet tub, the views, the coziness of the place, the convenience of how close to the shops and beach it was! I loved watching the sunsets and cruise ships, the outriggers and other boats out there! The view was amazing! We loved cooking on the bbq outside on the lania also! Every little touch of home was here, it was the best place for my family, we all enjoyed it very much! I was very impressed with this place! Thank you so much Ragnhild and Airbnb!

Lynn's Airbnb is a private, quiet space in a semi-rural family neighborhood. It's beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable, and has a kitchen fully stocked with utensils, towels, gadgets, and everything you'll need to feel comfortable. Lynn provided lovely beach chairs, a fabulous beach umbrella, a cooler, and cheerful beach towels for us to use. I really enjoyed this space, along with the beautiful patio. Views from Lynn's property are unbeatable! The neighborhood is quiet, lush, and green. It's a welcome space away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona, but amazingly close if you want to go anywhere downtown. I also appreciated the fast, reliable WIFI. Lynn is also a very professional host who is proactive, responsive, welcoming, and very gracious. I highly recommend Lynn and this Airbnb, and would stay here again if I have the opportunity. Megan’s space was beautiful! She was super helpful and responsive. We had a great time with our toddler and the additional toys, books, high chair, and pack n play made it much easier with her in tow. The shopping plaza within walking distance was convenient to buy a few groceries and we grabbed coffee in the morning there several days. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to make a few meals during our stay too. If having AC is crucial for your stay, this might not be for you but we hardly noticed and sleeping at night was comfortable.

We had an amazing time at Vlad and Maile’s place! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Big Island who will be spending time in Kona or Captain Cook. The house itself was beautiful and incredibly peaceful, even better than we had expected from the pictures, and the view from the deck was incredible. We loved spending time out there at any time of day but especially admiring the sunsets over the bay. There’s plenty of great food, coffee, and beaches close by that we enjoyed discovering, and we really enjoyed the snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay especially. We couldn’t have been happier with the location. The family was also super sweet. They made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived and remained friendly, communicative, and helpful for our entire stay, going out of their way to help if we needed anything, and being very gracious with us when we made mistakes. Looking forward to staying here again next time we’re on the Kona side!

Condo is older and a bit worn but clean. Condo is walking distance to everything, or just a very short drive. Location makes this place a great stay. People in condos are extremely friendly and helpful. The best part of this place was the pool. We didn't swim much but sat and watched sunsets with whales in eve and dolphins in the am. We loved our stay and recommend it anyone visiting Kona.

This place was great for our 3 day stop in Kona. Beautiful setting and just right for two people. The owners also offered and made us fresh homemade lei's that were beautiful. Would absolutely stay again.

We had an amazing stay! The apartment was so spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. We loved watching the horses from the lanai and having Buddy the dog greet us everyday when we arrived back. We felt like we had the best spot on the island to watch the sunset. The sounds of the coqui frogs at sunset was absolutely amazing and so relaxing to fall asleep to. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for self catering and it was really helpful having some things in the cupboards like spices, oil, syrup, etc. We were so sorry when it was time for us to leave!

Amazing Airbnb! First, the location is close to everything , whether you need to go to a store , grab food , or things to do. Anywhere is at least 5 minutes away so the location was perfect for our stay to tour Kona. As far as the place itself, it was just also amazing. Very clean, had all the things one would need for going to the beach and just a beautiful space. Parking was extremely easy. The host made binders of activities and their experiences which I thought was on point. Another thing is the host is very responsive. Read our messages in a minute or less and even let us return for our forgotten hair towel. For anyone looking to travel to Kona, look no further for a Airbnb to stay at. Thankyou Inna!

Terry’s condo was a perfect landing space for me while I was in Kona! It’s a safe, walkable and beautiful location! Parking is covered and easy and the facility is clean and comfortable. The backyard was a great spot to catch the sunrises and sunsets. The bed was comfy, the shower had great water pressure and it had all the amenities you would need to cook. I loved my time here and would recommend this space to anyone! Best suited for 2 people max. Thanks, Terry, for a wonderful stay! I had a blast!

Holly's place is up to date and lovely. The view from the lanai was stunning and peaceful. The sound of the waves and a comfortable made for restful nights. The location was great for the west side of the island. It was easy to get to restaurants and various beaches. Kahalu'u beach was nearby and the snorkeling was great there. We had our own masks and snorkels, but appreciated the selection of fin sizes. Neither of us needed to rent fins. We saw whales every day from the lanai and dolphins on several occasions. The kitchen was well equipped and the farm market next door was a great source of papayas and pineapples. We used the blender and fruit to make excellent frozen daiquiris. Holly was very responsive to questions and also one minor issue we had with a lamp not working. We would definitely stay here again.

This condo came highly recommended by friends and it did not disappoint! The condo is well equipped and very clean. It is completely updated and has a spa like master bathroom. The beds were so comfortable!! The unit has central air-conditioning which was greatly appreciated! Excellent location…an easy walk to a convenience store and several markets. Great snorkelling is also available close by. Brenda is lovely! She provided helpful information to ensure a comfortable stay and a great island experience. The private balcony with an ocean view was amazing. We were able to walk across the street to see the sunset every night! The ocean waves also allowed us to watch surfers throughout the day. We would stay at this specific condo again when we return to the island!

We had a great stay here. Absolutely beautiful view from the unit over the ocean with gorgeous sunsets. Easy, short drive to Kona for restaurants and other shopping needs. Well equipped kitchen and easy parking. Only minor issue was there were no shades to block the late afternoon sun in the unit. We'd happily stay here again.

Amazing place! Right on the ocean. A pro surf spot! Clean and comfortable, as described. Amazing poke place downstairs and a short drive to restaurants/cafes. The pool was a little chilly but clean and easily accessible. Highly recommend.

This paradise is an excellent spot for your Kailua-Kona-based vacation! It is right on Alii Drive, close to the ocean and town. Sherry had beach chairs and a surf board, anything you could want for the beach. The king bed is super nice, and having the windows unit AC helped when it got warm with no breeze in the evening. we also used the pullout couch/bed, and it was surprisingly comfortable! I would rent from Sherry again, and I would rent this location. Perfect jumping off spot for our Big Island adventure.

We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to rent again from Marco. The condo was well equipped for cooking and relaxing. There were only two of us so we couldn't comment on the sleeper sofa. The washer and dryer were convenient and worked well. Marco always responded quickly to our questions and concerns. The views out to the pool and shore were excellent.
