Vacation rentals with breakfast in Kailua-Kona

It was so wonderful to stay at Megan’s home! We had great Airbnb experiences throughout our stay on the big island, but Megan’s place felt like home! Such a beautiful home, welcoming family, and peaceful neighborhood. Megan made amazing breakfasts every morning, and we loved doing yoga with her! Great stay, highly recommend!

We had a most pleasant and unforgettable stay. It can be difficult to traverse the bumpy path from the belt road to the house, but once inside, we are surrounded by the calmness of nature, the hospitality of the hosts, and their cuddly pets. Breakfast is amazing, freshly cooked daily and served with local coffee and multiple types of home grown fruit. The host is very knowledgeable about local businesses and attractions and frequently gave advice on our trip planning. Overall a great place to stay and we can’t recommend it enough.

Jasmine & Kevin were wonderful. As my husband said this is the first Airbnb that actually did the breakfast part! Jasmine makes the most delicious breakfast and coffee. It was truly a beautiful way to start the morning before heading out to some local spots Kevin recommended. We had zero plans so we ran with a few places he suggested. One of the beaches he said to go to did not disappoint on the views, although I don’t think any beach here could. We were able to watch sea turtles sun bathing and frolicking in the water at the one he said to pop by. Their home is comfy, relaxing, and they make you feel very welcome.

The location is very great, quiet and the view to the beach and ocean is visible from the balcony. Hosts are super friendly and we got the best breakfast we’ve ever had since our trip, made by the hosts as described! I would definitely recommend for whoever come visit Kona and big islands!

Megan and her husband were warm, welcoming, and great hosts. This is definitely a family business and feels like being invited to stay over at a family or friend’s house. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and well stocked with amenities. I highly recommend staying with them if you’re looking to feel right at home.

Megan and her family were so fun and inviting. Healthy breakfasts with roomy accommodations. Her kids are adorable and her guide to the Big Island was helpful for dining and finding good beaches and activities. Her home is in a nice gated neighborhood and we felt safe at all times of day and night. The yoga and crafts were a fun bonus. It felt like staying at a fun relative’s house. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place just minutes from the main highway. It was 15 minutes from the national park Hōnaunau. Celeste’s home is very quiet, clean and with beautiful views of the ocean. She has alkaline water which tastes amazing. Awaken to the lovely sounds of the neighborhood roosters and chickens. Celeste is a very kind and thoughtful hostess.

I travel to this area most years for conferences and holiday. Always choose this accommodation if available because of its location, amenities and most helpful guests. It is my number one place to stay for ease of access also. Very quiet and lovely neighbourhood and very safe walking any time day or night. It is up a hill which gives a great view and I like it for the exercise walking to restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and other shops. Could ask for better hosts! A favourite of many B&Bs I have stayed at around the world.

It was pretty basic, but what we expected. A lovely view from the swimming pool...and a great location to explore Captain Cook!

Caryl’s place was lovely!! Super-duper comfortable bed, nice table (we are board gamers so it was nice to have a surface to play on), fully-equipped kitchenette (no stove/oven but everything else), and a grill if we needed to cook. So many lovely touches — a travel mug for me to use, lots of tea (and an electric kettle so my tea wouldn’t taste of coffee!), coolers for our day trips, spices available to use, a sheet so the beach towels wouldn’t get too sandy. The bathroom was fantastic too. Highly recommend Caryl’s place… thank you, Caryl and John!

Her place was wonderful! She was really kindness, friendly. I much appreciate her offer to outdoor activity, also would like to recommend. You can enjoy your space :)

We had an incredible time staying at Cc’s place! She is very hospitable, communicative and made sure we were ready for adventures around the island. Thank you for the delicious papaya, our boat tour enjoyed it so much!!

Come for the amazing views and stay for the delicious breakfast featuring locally grown fruits! Kurt and Kana were traveling but we were very well cared for by Jeff and Camille. We were only there for a short stay while visiting family in Captain Cook but loved our roomy accommodations with a private patio, large bath and sitting area. We had an adventure finding this spot at night. I’d suggest calling ahead to get better directions from one of the friendly hosts. One tip is to enter Government Main Rd from the end closes to Captain Cook (look for the McCoy Plantation sign) rather than the other end.

We (myself and my husband) had an enjoyable stay here. Splendid and admirable service. Resort-style stay at an affordable price and total privacy (no resort sort of crowd). Marvelous view, customized breakfast (I'm vegetarian, Indian). Clem is a sweetheart. He made Indian veg-pulav for us which was top-notch. His pancakes are the best ones we have had so far. He also made early breakfast at 5 am for us since we had a flight to catch. They have an outdoor kitchen with a stove, grill BBQ, micro-oven, crockeries (which they will wash after use - love it. Probably my first trip without washing dishes ), and necessary spices. They have a clean pool (the water was so good), perfect jacuzzi. I had a sound sleep throughout my stay here. The king-size bed had a heater with independent control for both sides (OMG !!! heaven-sent). The room had a coffee maker, kettle, fridge, and more than enough cabinets for clothes, and more. The washer and dryer were very handy. And they have surplus bath towels, hand towels, beach towels, snorkeling goggles and flippers, floatation boards, noodles, swim belts, beach chairs, ice cooler boxes, and MORE. The location is perfect with a calm residence hilltop view, nearby cafes (must try), coffee tasting at Greenwell, nurseries, and beaches. On top of it, we got lucky by spending July 4th here with a relaxed private viewing of fireworks. Special thanks for replacing all towels, door mates and providing room service daily. I would rank no:1 (I have OCD for cleanliness and organizing). For me, it's my fantasy came true !!! I Will definitely stay here again (goes without saying).

I really enjoyed my 5 nights. My family had been with me for a couple weeks at a much higher nightly cost, so in my extra 10 days I wanted to ratchet down to a more reasonable nightly cost. And this natural paradise was a success for me. I loved getting know Honokaa area better - and the roads around this retreat are just remarkable with their huge eucalyptus trees! Kitchen was pristine, and they have a nice French press for my critical morning coffee. And enjoyed eating the farm’s bananas for breakfast. And space in the fridge & freezer for my extra foods left over. I was tempted to stay extra nights, but figured it better to keep exploring the awesome island. They had an extra blanket because it does get chilly in the middle of the night. Memorable and enjoyable airbnb!

Honestly one of the best B&B’s we’ve stayed in, ever. Where to start? The house and location are just so beautiful, sublime. Easy enough to drive to, but so private and peaceful and WHAT A VIEW! Everything is so well kept and decorated, what an eye for detail. Super cosy and clean. Our room was just as described. We enjoyed both the outside shower (like showering in the jungle) and the indoor bathroom. Everything you need is there. And more! The breakfast was delicious (and a lot, wake up hungry!) and Hannah was so warm and welcoming, as were Michael & Greg. They made sure and kept on checking that we had everything we needed. Lots to do (hikes, beaches, snorkling, boating,…). We were able to use some of the beach chairs from the B&B. Honestly, don’t look for anything else around Kona, you will not regret this.

I only stayed a night but it was well worth it. Close to manta ray activities and the captain cook trail. Wish I could have stayed longer. Hannah was a dream!
