We had a wonderful stay at Trausti and Bjorg’s place. They were so lovely and greeted us upon arrival. They gave us lots of recommendations and even accommodated a late check out for us. The place was really spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. The location was wonderful, less than 10 minutes into Reykjavík and a really lovely area that felt safe and peaceful. I highly recommend staying here and we’ll be back the next time we come to Iceland!

Words can’t describe how beautiful this home is and how much at home we felt being there…. Views are stunning and it’s a perfect place to relax after a long day of driving, just want to get away or just unplug and reflect. Asta’s home is perfectly decorated, clean, welcoming and has everything you need. Bottom line, it’s magical especially for a couple but works perfectly for a family like us. I’m definitely going back to spend a week just unplug from everything. Thank you for being the perfect host.

We had the 3rd floor location Hrimland's place, and it had a nice view of the harbor and was very spacious. It was immaculately clean and well laid out. The location is fantastic; a quick 5 mins walk to Akureyri center, with restaurants and coffee shops. On our last day we walked to the botanical gardens from here, which we highly recommend - a botanical oasis at 66' N! All in all Akureyri was one of our favorite places from our week-long visit to Iceland, and we used it as a base to do the Diamond Circle (including Husavik). Very highly recommended! Barry and Jen

We ended up at Inga's after having to reconfigure our travel plans due to bad road conditions in North Iceland and were very happy with our decision to stay there. Everything matches the descriptions and pictures and Inga gave us very easy to follow directions in regard to finding the house and checking in.

Andrea’s cabin was the perfect place to rest at after a looong way drive we did from Myvatn. It was cozy and warm. It being close to the city (Akureyri) was perfect. Check in and out was a breeze. It would have been great though if the cabin had a microwave oven, but it didnt really matter too much as we were able to find an open food place late in the night. During our stay, we also had a surprise visit by Tom( the friendly black cat 🐈‍⬛). Highly recommended.

We spent a lovely night at Karuna Guest House. Our room exceeded our expectations, it was decorated so nicely and had a pretty view over the fields. We even had a sink in our room, so we only had to go to the shared bathroom to use the toilet or shower. When we first used the bathrooms they were very clean, the next morning one toilet wasn‘t very clean anymore thanks to the other guests. The kitchen was very well equipped and for us no problem to work around the other guests. I was glad that we had one of the rooms upstairs, since the walls are very thin and the room downstairs is located next to the bathrooms and kitchen. We had no problems with noise during the night because the other guests weren‘t loud, thankfully. Overall the shared rooms are very nice and we had a great experience! We were able to see the horses in the evening and enjoy the amazing view.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse Nyp. We were met by welcoming faces and a very stylish interior, which felt like stepping into narnia after driving in the wet and dark for hours at the end of a long day. Our host Hubert instantly made us feel right at home with his kind and warm welcome, looking after us for the duration of our stay – it wouldn't have been the same without him. The surroundings were beautiful and we made sure to take our time in the morning to walk into the mountains and down to the beach before heading on our way. A wonderful experience, thank you.

Took a spontaneous weekend trip, I booked this place last minute. Leifur was quick to respond and provided clear directions on how to access the building and your room. The room and private bathroom was perfect if you're looking for a place to crash at night. No one else was on our floor with us - I cannot speak to if you can hear other guests. There is a shared kitchen, nothing fancy. We used the microwave to make popcorn. No other commone areas. The surrounding area has limited options for food and things to do. It met my needs of having a place to sleep.

Staying in Dora and Nicolas' cozy flat was everything we could have wished. They were friendly, welcoming, helpful and generous. The flat was clean, well-supplied and super comfortable. It was a perfect location for walking to the University for our conference (7 minutes) and into the City Centre (+/- 20 mins) for events, museums and dining. (Just up the street are KaffiVest, a wonderful little cafe/restaurant, a small supermarket, and the local outdoor, heated swimming pool - an Iceland tradition!) We wholeheartedly recommend, and would gladly stay there again!

We stayed at Haukur's cabin for a week and enjoyed it very much. He was always easily accessible and helped us with everything. The property is beautiful and great for unwinding. It's very quiet and peaceful. It looked fantastic in any weather. The cabin is well equipped. You are about 20 minutes away by car from Selfoss and there is everything you need. It was very nice to meet you, hopefully until next time!

The apartment is perfect for a short period of time. It’s not far from Akureyri by car, just about a 15 minute drive away. Good place to watch northern lights from the balcony overlooking the fjord. Room was spacious and kitchen was supplied with the basics.

The communication in advance and during the stay was very good. Thanks to the detailed description, we found the place right away and the check-in went smoothly. The location is great. You can quickly reach Reykjavik and the Golden Circle, so you can easily visit all the sights here. The Icelandic horses are a particular highlight. The description generally corresponds well to the accommodation, even if the furnishings are partly a bit older, which does not detract from the whole.

Such a cosy, clean, welcoming, warm and lovely place to rest after a chilly day of sightseeing; the personal touches (a few plants, Icelandic tablecloth and painted stones) were so nice. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing dinner and breakfast using our store bought groceries. The beds were very comfortable. Nice lighting. And what lovely craftsmanship - this “tiny home” was simply perfect.

Jóhanna is such a wonderful host! This tiny house truly feels like a home. All the amenities you could need are provided, and Jóhanna is very proactive and communicative. A perfect place to see the stars and aurora borealis, and only a ten minute drive to the city.

Beautiful surroundings and we were able to see the aurora borealis on our stay! The kitchen was perfect for cooking, high end appliances and coffee machine.
