Farmstay vacation rentals in Iceland

We, my mom and I, stayed at this place for five nights. We felt super comfortable right away. The place was exactly like the pictures, super bequme beds, great shower, the location is super quiet and we could see aurora lights on almost all evenings:) The most beautiful thing was just to lie comfortably on the sofas and enjoy the incredibly beautiful view! From the property we relaxed explored the island of Snearfellsness and some more places. We had a really great time :)

Very welcoming and accommodating host! We had a very good stay in this accommodation, there is a wide choice of activities to do in the area. We will not hesitate to return if the opportunity arises! 😊

Lovely little cabin. Quite isolated so very peaceful but only a short drive to restaurants and shops. It felt very authentic Iceland to see the horses from the house! A good base to explore from.

We had a lovely stay in the Wee cosy house. Everything you need is right there.

The house had a wonderful view towards the sea and the horses. Unfortunately we had a lot of wind and rain but we had to expect that in February. Nevertheless we did a trip to the beautiful coast around Arnarstapavegur and we enjoyed it a lot.

Travelling around Iceland we wanted to experience a stay next to a fjord. The location here was ideal to go to the Hvammsvik hot springs, our favourite of the springs we’ve been too so far. A 30min drive into Reykjavik and the views in and out are stunning. The airb&b is small, as others have said but care has been given to organising it well and providing nice furnishings. We stored our suitcases one either side of the double bed. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy. The place was warm with lovely seated views through the window out to the fjord. We also visited the settlement centre in Borgarnes whilst staying here and we enjoyed going through the tunnel under the fjord which is free to cross into Borgarnes. It isn’t very private with the owners walking in front of house as the buildings connect. We stayed for a couple of nights and it met our needs. There is no TV but there is Wi-Fi, a pack of cards and a cute book of photos contrasting Icelands scenery.

Wonderful farmhouse with plenty of bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and great views. We loved the horse and sheep! Easy to find with instructions. Bathrooms are a little small but manageable. Very gracious host with clear communications. I would recommend this welcoming home.

Nice little cottage! It was a perfect stay for one night with 4 persons.

A quiet sanctuary set out in the middle of a farm. This place is for those who want to isolate. We felt very comfortable and at home. Everyone said they could easily live there. Rooms were clean and ready. Bathroom was spotless. The kitchen had all the basics. If you're in the area and simply want solitude, this is the place for you.

We absolutely loved Rannveig's place! The location was so beautiful and had all of the amenities we needed and more! Rannveig was so kind and helpful- will absolutely return on our next trip!

This is a treasure of an airbnb. The pictures are great but it's even more beautiful in real life. We stayed two nights in winter when it had -13 degrees. The hot tub, pool and sauna were extremely nice! We were lucky and saw the northern lights two nights in a row. We had an amazing stay!

The little house by the sea was one of the best we ever stayed in. Even if you have neighbours next to you, you won‘t hear them. It feels very private. The apartment is so cozy and we felt at home right away. We watched the seabirds every morning from the window and even saw spectacular northern lights the first night. The restaurant in den town was also very nice. We would 100% recommend to stay here and would love to come back one day. Such a lovely place!

We spent 7 amazing days at this lovely cottage in a completely remote area next to a horse farm. Everything was perfect and felt like home from the very beginning. The views from the cottage are so beautiful and we were greeted by very cute horses every morning. The cottage is not very far from some really beautiful waterfalls. Out of 7 nights we were blessed to see some beautiful northern lights right from the porch of the house on 4 nights. I loved how minimalistic yet spacious the house was. All beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Kitchen is also very well equipped and made cooking very easy. Sigurborg is a very friendly and responsive host. I will remember the stay in this house for as long as I live. A really unique experience, can only recommend🩷

This was a beautiful place for us to spend a few relaxing nights on our trip to Iceland. The house was clean and had all needed amenities, and Thorsteinn was a fantastic host! Easy to get in touch with and very friendly! The property also has Icelandic horses at the bottom of the road which were so cool to see up close! Great central location if you're looking to do a Golden Circle Tour, or just explore around Iceland in general! Thank you!

Airbnb Review: We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful countryside house! The peaceful surroundings and charming home made for a perfect getaway. Our kids especially loved petting the animals and playing with the friendly house dog—it was a highlight of the trip! This is the second time we've stayed at Rauðenes, it seems we often bring severe weather with us! We had a great time, Fjola's place is great home base for days out, as well as a cozy place to stay for days in. We had a great time!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying with Elsa and Magnus! From start to finish we felt absolutely welcome especially from all the furry friends coming to our door. The kitchen, room and common areas were spotless and had everything you need! A welcome bonus was the delicious homemade bread left for us in the morning for breakfast!

This was such a peaceful and comfortable stay! The location was convenient to destinations on the Golden Circle, and the ability to do laundry saved us a great deal of time and money. We were there on a cloudy night, but I imagine this would be a tremendous location for northern lights viewing as it is away from light pollution and has a wonderful deck. The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean andthe kitchen well stocked. Great stay overall!

A very cozy house, super well-equipped, the sauna and hot pot were sensational! The location right in front of Kirkjufell Mountain is unbeatable, we even got to see the Northern Lights! The rent for the house is quite high, but worth every cent and highly recommended!
