Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Houghton Lake

What a fantastic find! The house was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and the owner Lori promptly return our messages. The house was convenient for us, as it was located down the road from our son’s home. We would definitely love to stay here again.

The home was very clean. It sat off the road and had a fenced back yard so our dog could run in the yard without worry. It was warm and cozy inside. Deer walked right through the yard! I took pictures of them. It was close to restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time. I stayed to celebrate my 50th birthday and the arcade game was the nostalgia I needed. Very spacious. It was just my husband and dogs but it would be great for a family adventure. Very clean. Nice neighborhood. Quite and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. The lake is walking distance. It's a great value for sure.

We enjoyed our stay! Michelle was very responsive. It was close to town but far enough to feel secluded. We enjoyed the hot tub, which was one of the initial factors we looked at this house. The deck attached was large enough for us all to gather. Beautiful kitchen and spacious.

Rachel’s house was comfortable from the start. Everyone including the pets found the house to be fun. The children loved the ability to fish right from the pier and to get out on the water with the 3 waterboard choices. The fire pit was nicely located being right outside the back door instead of down by the water. We found the Harrison location to fun as well. We will be back to Rachel’s house and Harrison.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish! Kelly Jo’s home was perfect for our girls getaway. We felt right at home in her clean and cozy four bedroom home. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the furniture/beds were very comfortable. The four of us especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in her private wooded backyard. As the organizer of our trip I really appreciated Kelly Jo’s quick responses to all my questions. We all agreed that the next time we visit Traverse City we will definitely be staying here again!

An absolutely beautiful space and amazing hosts. I had the perfect stay with Monica and Gary, they were so friendly and helpful. The apartment is the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in by far, the view from the balcony is beautiful and the lake access is beautiful with a large sandy beach. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit lake city. Also, very comfy beds and a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Highly recommend.

We love staying at this property and have done so multiple times. It is convenient to walk to everything in Clare, and also a short drive from so many things to see in the surrounding area. We highly recommend it if you're looking for lodging in the Clare area.

Our stay was amazing! We really loved the loft and how thought out every detail was. We loved our stay and the town was so welcoming and wonderful all week long during the 50th Irish Festival. This location was in the heart of downtown and every event was right outside our door. Morgan even left us some wristbands and discounts we could use for the nearby shops/venues, which included the 505 cafe downstairs (amazing food) and the Trap Door bar just around the corner (unique and cool atmosphere). Both places had very delicious food and excellent service. Overall we just had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes good times, with good food, and good people.

Our Airbnb was very charming. Older well kept home that was fully furnished and well stocked. Perfect location. We walked everywhere with many restaurants within walking distance. It was the perfect place.

Morgan’s place was super cute in a quaint downtown area. The coffee shop/cafe below was so good!! Morgan was super kind and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!
