Francisca’s place was wonderful. She was so helpful and responsive and let us arrive early too. The apartment had everything needed for 2 couples, including coffee, water, tea, beach towels. Air conditioning was great too. The location is perfect and walking distance to the beach and harbor and restaurants. We loved Faial and this apartment was a gem. Thank you Francisca!

We lucked out in renting Roberto's home as a base to explore Pico Island - gorgeous private spacious setting, not too far from restaurants and trailheads, with sounds of the waves and the sheep in the background. We hope to return!

We loved the thoughtful food items left for us. The beds are firm and comfortable, and the heaters kept us warm at night. The couch was also cozy, perfect for hours of reading and enjoying the solitude. Be cautious with the entrance—it’s a narrow, steep, one-way street. Large cars might get scratched or not fit at all. A small car is ideal, but one with a weak engine may struggle. Once parked, the space is great. Finding the house was tricky, as the GPS didn’t recognize the address, but we discovered two routes to get there. There’s no dryer, so drying clothes on the rack can be challenging, especially in rainy seasons. Bring quick-dry and waterproof clothing. Carlos and Manuela provided a helpful restaurant guide, though many were closed during our visit. We explored local spots and loved the food—Aromas and Sabores in Lajes is a must! If you seek peace and seclusion, this cozy place is perfect. We never met another person during our stay.

THE HOUSE IS AMAZING! Every part is perfect! It’s the only house that we stayed during our holidays that is decorated for Christmas, and you can feel the thoughtfulness from the host. Indeed the house is well maintained and you have everything needed for living here. Many check-in gifts. Amazing view of the sea and the volcano. Taisa is very kind and helpful. I really hope to visit again.

Joanna’s place was fully refreshing, relaxing and stress free. Here you can really enjoy the privacy in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The air and the environment is very clean. Enjoying the beautiful ocean water and sunshine is really the best part of being here in the Azores. The extraordinary views of Pico make it a very interesting location. We had an amazing few day's at Jorge's place. Horta is a fantastic location and the house is nestled into the hillside with fabulous views over the town and harbour. Perfectly located just a few minutes walk into town. We loved to sit eating our breakfast in the morning enjoying the wonderful view and star gazing at night after enjoying the island of Faial. Not to be missed! Hiking around the Caldeira, Capelinhos & Whale watching were all highlights for us! We would love to come back for a few more days....maybe next year :)

We were very pleased with our stay at Fatima's place. Even before we started, we received recommendations for the area. We felt very comfortable. The home is cozy and well-equipped. The communication with Fatima was always friendly and easy. It was even possible to leave 2 hours later. Thank you so much for the nice days in Horta. We will be happy to come back!

Very beautiful space inside and out. Rare to find a place in the city with so much outside space to also be in— perfect for our family, and especially appreciated by the 4 year old who was traveling with us! Communication was a little tricky when we first arrived because Nádia was traveling and messages weren’t flowing through to her parents, whose house it is. Our flight was delayed and unfortunately that message didn’t get through to the housekeeper who was waiting for us to arrive. I think it all worked out in the end, and I would definitely recommend staying here, the hosts were very warm and welcoming.
