Cottage vacation rentals in Ely

Lovely little cottage in a lovely area of the country. We were down to visit a friend and watch a local theatrical production but we also managed to do some walking in beautiful woodlands that were just a few minutes drive away. East Harling is a very pleasant walk away - but probably not at night - as part of the walk is on unlit roads with no pavements. Possibly a little unfairly, the location review was dropped a star for this. Mary was very friendly, responsive and provided comprehensive and accurate information. All-in-all it’s a lovely bright little cottage in a lovely tranquil location ….. I nearly forgot the hot tub - lovely touch - clean and a very welcome mode of relaxation.

We had the most wonderful stay. The garden is absolutely amazing. If you have little ones, this place is the one! Adam was a wonderful host, so responsive and helpful. The house was super clean, everything was so easy to work/find. We would hesitate to stay here again. Brilliant value for money, we had the best time. Thank you again Adam and Hannah.

We stayed at forestry cottage for the weekend for my mums 70th birthday. The cottage was so homely and comfortable and a really good size for 7 people. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive, little touches like doggy treats and supplies (we bought our family dog) and balloons, party poppers and a happy birthday banner was left for my mum which was a really nice touch! The cottage is set in the most beautiful/peaceful place with decent walks around the lake. All in all we had a very lovely stay, would 100% recommend.

Hollie was fast responsive when I had messaged her before booking. The cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived and the hot tub was ready for use. We had a great stay here and enjoyed our time x

A beautiful cottage set in beautiful grounds. Perfect for our teenage girls who loved the hot tub and fire pit. Amanda our host was great and very helpful. Would definitely would love to stay again.

Back from a long weekend here, set in a beautiful village with a local pub which was great for food and drinks and a nice outdoor seating area. The garden was great and had the sun all day and evening so perfect for sitting outdoors while relaxing in the sun and was very secure for the dogs and lovely hot tub to relax in Great location for getting to Wells next to the sea and other surrounding areas Would highly recommend staying here Hosts were brilliant and super responsive and nice bottle of wine and treats to enjoy on our 1st day of holiday.

We had the most wonderful time! The property is absolutely gorgeous to roam around and the house is really comfortable, well equipped and beautiful to stay in. Highly recommend!

We had a really relaxing stay in this beautiful place with a stunning outdoor forest directly accessible through the large garden. A tastefully decorated house with interesting artefacts and ceramics. A great place for reading books, cooking and having fires outside in the fire pit. Super quiet and peaceful and a perfect place for rest and recuperation. Also a good location from which to explore forests and sights of Norfolk.

We had a lovely time at Nick and Liz’s cottage with our kids. It was a great base to explore around Norfolk. The view across the fields was really peaceful. Liz was really helpful with local recommendations for pubs and places to explore.

For a compact and beju historical building, the cottage has full amenities and facilities, and everything you could need for a holiday home from home. lots of books and games for rest days when you're not out and about. it was everything we needed. thank you so much for having us Ksenia ❤️.

Litcham is such a beautiful village with all the amenities needed along with a very nice fish & chip shop. Rebecca’s house was lovely. Parking to the rear of the property was very easy. We liked the open plan feel to the downstairs. If there was one thing that Rebecca could do, it would be to change the kitchen floor step, as although clear signs are out ‘mind your step’ it was very easy to forget and on a number of occasions found ourselves tripping down the step. We would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.

Just returned from a short break and had such a relaxing time in Norfolk. Great to explore the coastal towns nearby and return to a quiet comfortable place to unwind in the evening with the fire on. Meryl was super helpful keeping in touch whilst we were there and the cottage was as others have said like a tardis once inside and the garden space is fab. We all enjoyed our break including the dog. Thanks Meryl xxx

Lovely cottage with everything you could need for a country getaway. All points of interest seem to be a 15 minute drive so you definitely need a car if coming. Beaches are huge and the countryside is gorgeous.

The holiday home "Poets Corner" is perfect for a stay in the region. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is cozy, very clean and equipped with many loving details. Kenninghall is a charming place. Everything you need is there, a grocery store, a pub and a cafe. You can also go for a walk, for example to the zoo in Banham. The neighbors are very friendly. Many thanks to Marie for this lovely stay and the friendly conversation. We are now back home in Germany and will remember the beautiful Easter holiday.

We felt privileged to be in such an amazing place. Very comfortable Cottage in beautiful grounds. So quiet and peaceful. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and we enjoyed several really lovely walks in the area.

I stumbled Accross this Airbnb quite by chance and I was blown away. I have now visited over and over again because the location is close to family. I always feel right at home. The cottage has everything I need for my stay, plus the hosts make it super cozy and welcoming with afternoon tea on arrival (I live for those scones) a fire at the ready to create ambiance and warm the living area, plus some bubbly and amazing coffee to relax with. I travel from the US so these details upon arrival make me feel very welcome.

Stunning cottage in stunning grounds of a stately home / manor. The cottage is in a private orchard so you have a lovely very large green / garden with the accompanying birdsong to enjoy to yourselves! There are no other cottages so the grounds are private and wonderful to explore on foot too. The kids brought their bikes for some cycling on the attached woodland paths and lovely for morning or evening walks. The cottage itself is modern, spotless and well heated, lovely roll top bath and walk in showers. The cottage from outside to in is all one floor so great for our baby who was crawling (there is one step between the kitchen and living room). Hosts were very responsive and welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at Caroline’s beautiful barn conversion. Everything was immaculate, lots of space, well equipped and furnished and so comfortable in every respect. Caroline was so welcoming and helpful and had provided so many very thoughtful extra touches, from all the ingredients for a delicious full breakfast with bacon and amazing fresh hen’s eggs, chocolate brownies, sweets to toiletries and so much more. Caroline really had anticipated all any guests could possibly need. The setting is so peaceful and just a short stroll to all the amenities of this lovely village and so easy to explore Cambridge from too. We were all very sad to leave at the end of our stay.

We spent 3 nights at Lovely Cottage and it was the perfect break away after the madness of the festive period. Kelly was quick to reply to any questions we had during the booking process and provided clear check-in instructions. The property is well-decorated, clearly new bathroom and kitchen with all amenities you would need. The log burner is a real plus! The property was also spotless! The location is ideal, close to Wells and Burnham Market, Holkham as well as other locations. Fab restaurants a short drive away. Would definitely look to book this property again when we come back to North Norfolk!
